Dottore is the Second of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, known for his unethical experiments and disregard for human life. He was introduced in Chapter 1 of the Genshin Impact Webtoon in 2018, and has since been re-introduced as an antagonist in the game itself.

As Harbingers, Dottore and Scaramouche collaborated for centuries and share a deeply intertwined past. Dottore first encountered Scaramouche in Tatarasuna, back when he was still going by Kabukimono, and was the first to recognize his potential as a future Harbinger. His actions on the island uprooted Kabukimono's life entirely, setting off a chain of events that led him to abandon his humanity and pursue power and revenge instead, eventually leading him right to the Fatui. During their long partnership, Dottore unlocked the seal on Scaramouche's Electro powers, granting him greater strength, and in exchange was allowed to study his puppet form to create his own Segments using a similar design. Their alliance ultimately fractured in Version 3.3, when Scaramouche failed to ascend to godhood and uncovered the truth about Dottore's role in his past.
