Irumota is the het ship between Miu Iruma and Kaito Momota from the Danganronpa fandom
Canon[]
Kaito and Miu have only had a few interactions in canon. They occasionally argue with each other during trials, due to them both having extremely strong opinions about matters. As a result, they insult each other very often in Class Trials and other interactions. They both die as a result of the Killing School Semester, Miu as a victim and Kaito as a blackened. They do not share any interactions in the non-canonical Ultimate Talent Development Plan or Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp. In said games, Miu and Kaito are classmates together at Hope's Peak Academy.
In the Chapter 2 bonus scene, Kaito and Miu are two of the students that join Shuichi Saihara at the casino. Kaito is dismal at gambling, and Miu is seen laughing at him. Later in the same chapter, Kaito and Miu both skip out on Gonta's Insect Meet and Greet, as well as Himiko's magic show. In Chapter 4, Miu's original plan was to frame Kaito for her murder of Kokichi Oma. She uses her cellphone in the Neo World Program to log Kaito out of the game, but is unable to complete her murder plot before being killed herself by Gonta Gokuhara. Kaito is initially seen as the main suspect in Miu's murder, but he is shown to be shocked by her death. He is also one of the few members of the class who doesn't disrespect her in some way after her death. He continues this attitude by telling off anyone disrespecting her death during the investigation. As such, Kaito still sees Miu as a good person, even after her negative relationship with him when she was still alive.
Personality-wise, neither are very different from each other. They are both very rowdy, and are constantly yelling at people. They are both very extroverted, interacting with their classmates very often. Since they tend to hold very strong opinions, they get into arguments with others often, especially with each other. In the demo for Danganronpa v3, Miu is seen calling Kaito a "flower-garden brained idiot". Miu and Kaito were two of the students that worked with Kokichi (alongside Gonta) to try and end the killing game.
Fanon[]
Kaito and Miu are mostly shipped together due to their similarly strong personalities, as well as their interests in scientific fields. Both go by a notable title that they refer to themselves regularly, with Miu calling herself the "gorgeous girl genius", and Kaito calling himself the "luminary of the stars". They are both loud and somewhat vulgar, and are often dismissed as not being very smart, despite both being skilled in fields that require a lot of intelligence. They also both have rivalries of some sort with Kokichi Oma. The reason these two are less popular is likely due to the popularity of other ships, such as Kaimaki for Kaito, and Kiiruma and Irouma for Miu.
