IsaMira is the family ship between Isabela Madrigal and Mirabel Madrigal from the Encanto fandom.
Canon[]
Isabela is Mirabel's oldest sister. When they were younger, Mirabel and Isabela were very close but drifted apart as they got older due to their respective statuses in the family. By the start of the film, their relationship had become so strained that they have a mutual contempt for each other. Mirabel's dislike of Isabela is shown several times throughout the film, such as having a visibly annoyed looked on her face during Isabela's verse in the "We Don't Talk About Bruno", and describing Isabela as a "selfish, entitled princess" during an argument when she demands an apology from her. When it appears she must embrace and hug her sister according to Bruno's vision, Mirabel is vehemently annoyed, stating her belief that Isabela hates her and describes her sister as "annoying". Despite her initial dislike of Isabela, Mirabel does harbor some admiration for her and sing her praises during "The Family Madrigal", describing Isabela as "perfect", "graceful", and "the Golden Child", although she also calls her a "prima donna".
Mirabel's relationship with Isabela dramatically improves during "What Else Can I Do?", when Mirabel was able to see how her sister actually felt about being perfect and encouraged her to embrace her imperfection, and the two hug, causing the magic to strengthen and the candle to burn brighter, fulfilling Bruno's vision. Realizing how Isabela's problems were actually no different from her own and that their grandmother’s favoritism of her stemmed from being someone she wasn’t nor wanted to be, Mirabel stood up for her and Luisa against Alma in an argument.

Fanon[]
The popularity of this sister ship is mostly due to their shared song, "What Else Can I Do?" From how Isabela was very cold towards Mirabel for a large part of the film, until Mirabel helps Isa to break free from her golden child image. Leading to the two to become close with one another. There are theories that the image Alma forced upon Isabela was the reason she pushed Mirabel away, from knowing what her grandmother has thought of Mirabel for not having a gift like her. Destroying a bond the sisters might have had as children.
Isabela being an older sister who was blessed with an elemental power while Mirabel being a younger sister with no magical powers of her own, who also couldn't entirely understand the drift in their relationship, has people paralleling them with Elsa and Anna from Frozen. That is why two of the three Madrigal sisters are sometimes portrayed as the Frozen Sisters or are shipped with them. Since some Elsabela fanworks have Mirabel and Anna as supporters of Isabela x Elsa's relationship.
There is also part of the fandom that prefers to ship the two romantically, being one of the most popular pairings of Madrigalcest. In 2022 Tumblr users dedicated IsaMira its own week, with writers and artists creating various prompts and fanart.[1]
