IvanLuka is the slash between Ivan and Luka from the Alien Stage fandom.
Canon[]
There aren't any confirmed interactions between them in the series due to the fact that Luka was apart of the Anakt Garden 49th class, while Ivan in the 50th class, as well as them not getting the chance to go up against each other at any point in the competition. Aside from that, both Ivan and Luka are in universe one of the most popular contestants of the 50th season as shown in the TOP 3 video, with Luka being ranked number one, and Ivan ranked number three. Luka also appears after ROUND 3, Ivan's Round, holding a rubik's cube, suggesting that he is figuring out his potential opponents like a puzzle.
Ivan and Luka are perhaps the most similar characters out of the main cast. Despite their completely different origins - Luka being artificially created and Ivan bred from the slums -, both learned to become complacent to survive under their guardians' control. When they were young, they expressed their emotion in odd ways, making them outsiders among their peers. Later they would learn to suppress these tendencies and become the perfect performer, with both Luka and Ivan being described as "princely." Ivan and Luka also grew to have a strong love for a person in their life, Till and Hyuna respectively. Their unfamiliarity with expressing emotion also skews the way they express their love: Ivan, believing himself to be unlovable, annoys Till to keep his attention, while Luka, having been controlled his entire life, expresses his love in a possessive way.
Despite not having any on-screen interactions, Luka is aware of Ivan's existence. In ROUND 7, there is a scene of Luka forcing Till to hallucinate Ivan by mimicking movements that would remind Till of Ivan such as pulling his face close.
In the Actors AU, OFF THE RECORD, Ivan and Luka works as actors at the same agency. Prior to this, they also used to work at the same idol unit, making them close friends. It’s shown that Ivan really enjoys taking care of children and volunteers to take care of them, with Luka being dragged into it without much choice. This implies that they are constantly together in their activities.
Still about the Actors AU, we get more insight into their dynamic when, in the 'Cheers' comic, Mizi invites them to a company dinner. Luka is the type who checks how many people will be attending before deciding, so he says he’ll go if three more people join. To convince him, Ivan wonders out loud if he should join, and Luka quickly adds that he’ll go if three more people come—specifically excluding Ivan. This suggests that they probably enjoy irritating each other in a passive-aggressive way. We’re also shown once again how similar they are when Mizi reprimands them, telling them to "be more decisive in their actions".
Fanon[]
Due to the lack of interactions, IvanLuka is a rare pair within the Fandom, usually being despised. Some don't see the appeal mainly because of the age gap between the characters (Luka is 30 and Ivan is 22), making the ship quite controversial within the Alien Stage fandom even though both are of legal age and it's not a crime. Another reason for the hate is the fact that both Ivan and Luka are in love with different people, Luka having feelings for Hyuna and Ivan having feelings for Till. Some people feel that it's "wrong" to ship the two because of that reason. However, the ship is just for fun and no fan really thinks that they will be canon together.
Meanwhile, IvanLuka fans imagine the various possibilities of what a round between them would be like. Just the thought of this alone makes many people love the ship, as the undeniable power of both combined on stage is something hard to ignore. IvanLuka shippers might also find them to be aesthetically pleasing together with their contrasting color palettes (dark and light). Most fans who ship IvanLuka likes the pairing for the contrast between the two characters, with them being quite but not overbearingly different.
In the Actors AU, it's said that Ivan and Luka were part of the same idol unit, so fans believe they would do a lot of fanservice on stage, especially from Ivan’s side. Some fans prefer the ship in the Actors AU because of the fact that they are close friends in this AU.
Fans noticed that the sweatshirt Ivan is wearing in the comic 'Cheers' is similar to the one Luka wears in 'OFF THE RECORD 24.09.20,' leaving room for two possible interpretations: either they share their clothes, or they wear matching outfits, which is quite a common act among Korean couples.
Also, in the 'Cheers' comic, we see even more how Ivan and Luka are always together, and they’ve probably known each other for a long time since idols usually start training at a young age. They ended up at the same acting agency, take care of child actors, it’s like they do everything together, almost like they’re stuck with each other, destined to be side by side. They’ve been together for so long that they probably know a lot about each other, likely sharing secrets, frustrations, joys, etc.
During her fan meeting in Japan, QMeng ended up referring to IvanLuka as a "couple" by accident, correcting herself shortly after. She laughed, showing that so far there is no discomfort from the creators regarding the ship. The video in question was deleted by the person who posted it due to hateful comments and attacks they was receiving from the ship's haters. [1]

Trivia[]
- Early in the creation process, Ivan's personality was more pupply-like and gentle, with his more subdued outward mask added later on. When developing Luka's character, the creators had to make sure he was different from Ivan since their personalities are similar.[2][3]
- The artworks of Ivan and Luka in the Modern/School AU can complete each other when placed side by side (even though they were originally meant to connect with Till and Hyuna, respectively).
