JackGrinch is the slash ship between Jack Skellington and the Grinch from the The Nightmare Before Christmas and How the Grinch Stole Christmas! fandoms.
Canon[]
Jack and the Grinch had never met in any official capacity, and a meeting would be unlikely since the rights to their characters are owned by completely different companies. However, they both live in an environment that isn't Earth and initially only experienced Christmas from afar. However, while Jack immediately fell in love with Christmas as it allowed him an escape from the monotony of solely having to make Halloween every year, the Grinch initially despised Christmas since he associated it with the Whos being especially noisy with their gifts. For completely opposite reasons, the two dress up as Santa Claus and decide to hijack the holiday, but whilst Jack genuinely wanted to take Santa's place for just one day, the Grinch decided to steal Christmas to spite the Whos. Both of their stories end with them learning to be content with their lot in life and enjoying the Christmas celebrations as they are.
However, besides their initially opposite reactions to Christmas, Jack and the Grinch are also have opposite reputations among their kind: Jack is outwardly beloved by most monsters in Halloween Town, the Grinch lives far away from Whoville because of his dislike of the Whos (which later adaptations clarify is mutual). However, they still lament how lonely they felt initially, Jack felt that the adoration he received did not actually help in wanting someone to understand how he really feels, the Grinch didn't realize how miserable his existence was prior to seeing the Whos celebrate Christmas anyway. And despite initially having polar opposite opinions on Christmas, neither of them fully understood it before the end of their stories: Jack thought him replacing the Christmas gifts with horrifying replicas would have the same effect, the Grinch thought Christmas was just about the presents and was never allowed to witness people just enjoying each other's company. Both also share an interest in the macabre, Jack's role as the embodiment of Halloween initially gave him purpose, the Grinch initially relishes in his role as "a mean one". While the Grinch once proudly claimed that all Grinches are villainous, Jack does not see himself as a villain and his role of giving people a "little scare" is just a job to him.
Though both are dog-owners, the Grinch's dog Max is his only friend, whilst Jack's ghost dog Zero is merely the only one whom he is comfortable sharing his discomfort with. They also act very different towards their dogs, the Grinch used to abuse Max before his heart grew three times its size, Jack always treated Zero with love. Coincidentally, both dogs serve the role of Santa's reindeer during their scheme of playing Santa, however, while the Grinch merely strapped an antler on Max's head against his will since he couldn't find a real reindeer, Zero willingly offered himself up to play the Rudolph to Jack's Santa since both have a glowing red nose. Both of their schemes are questioned by the only named female character in the story, though while Jack being questioned by his love interest Sally was motivated by her initially unrequited love for him, the Grinch being questioned by little Cindy Lou Who was a sign of her innocence and he initially only pretended to be nice to get her out of his way (while Jack was always polite to Sally). Though them questioning their motives was an attempt to help see them the error of their ways, they only truly do so after nearly crossing the line of dooming Christmas for good.

Because both are the protagonists of unconventional Christmas classics, the Internet had a lot of ideas on what would happen if they ran into oneanother. Many of them involve them fighting over their very intense differing stances on Christmas, with the Grinch shown as his pre-redemption self. However, many like to imagine that they would actually get along really well once they get past their shared interests besides Christmas. Naturally, this also had some people wondering how a romantic relationship between them would play out, though this isn't as common as people would expect. Many have even shared theories that Jack and Zero are actually the Grinch and Max after they died, which would meant that Jack would rediscover Christmas after forgetting that he hated it as the Grinch.
