JacobHyuna is the het ship between Jacob and Hyuna from the Alien Stage fandom.
Canon[]
Jacob was the former leader of the rebellion. One day, he left to find someone knowledgeable on ALIEN STAGE so that they would be able to break in. Jacob found Hyuna, a former contestant who lost her round, in a tunnel under the theater. With one leg missing, Hyuna was crawling back to the Anakt Garden to save the children there. Seeing Hyuna's determination and care for humanity, Jacob knew she would be a good fit for the rebellion and took her in.
Although Hyuna typically had a cheerful disposition, she was prone to over-drinking to cope with her grief. In times like that, Jacob would take care of her. Isaac criticized it as a waste of time, seeing Hyuna as a lost cause. In response, Jacob told Isaac about Hyuna's attempt to save the children, calling her "stupid" just like the rest of the rebellion. Hyuna also respected Jacob, following his orders without complaint and believing in his optimism.
One day, Jacob leaves on a mission, leaving the rebellion members aimless and losing sight of their goals. It was Hyuna's performances that helped bring morale up again in Jacob's absence. After 6 weeks, Jacob returned disfigured and fatally injured. Isaac notes that not a hint of Hyuna's triumphant singing could be heard that day. The last thing Jacob tells Hyuna is, "Forgive yourself," showing that he understood her inner turmoil, even at a point when Hyuna herself did not understand it.
After Jacob's death, Hyuna takes on the role as leader. She resolves to keep going with Jacob's plan. Hyuna ultimately dies saving Luka, and she repeats Jacob's words, "Forgive yourself," to him.
Fanon[]
JacobHyuna is a rarepair in the fandom, due to the popularity of Hyuluka. Fans appreciate how Jacob became someone Hyuna could rely on after all the pain she went through.
Others prefer it as a platonic dynamic, with Jacob being an older brother figure to Hyuna.
