Jamkedain is the het ship between Jamke and Edain from the Fire Emblem fandom.
Canon[]
Jamke and Edain are two playable characters in Fire Emblem Genealogy of the Holy War. Jamke is the prince of the kingdom of Verdane. Edain is the daughter of the Duke of Yngvi (a part of Grannvale kingdom near the frontier with Verdane).
On the beginning of the game, most Grannvale's forces are fighting the kingdom of Isaach. The neighbour's kingdom Verdane took advantage of the fact that most Grannvale's forces are away to attack the country. Led by Munnir (Jamke's brother) Verdane's forces invade Yngvi. Edain is captured by Munnir who take her to Verdane. Sigurd (the heir to the dukedom next to Yngvi and Edain's childhood friend) goes to fight Verdane to defend the country against the invasion and to save his friend. Jamke disagreed with the invasion and frees Edain alongside Dew (a thief that he has caught some time before and to who he ask to protect Edain), however Jamke doesn't go with them because he won't betray his father, Batu and hopes that he could convince him to stop the war.
Edain and Dew finally reach Sigurd's army. After Munnir's death, Jamke is sent by his Batu to fight Sigurd's army. Edain and Jamke meet on the battlefield, where she convinces him to joins her allies, promising that they won't hurt Batu. However, Batu is killed by Sandima (a member of the Loptr Church) who reveals that he was manipulating Batu all along before Jamke could speak to his father. Jamke decides to stay in Sigurd's army.
If Edain reaches enough love points with Jamke, they will wed. If in chapter 4 they are married they will have a special conversation. In this conversation, Edain has bought a Brave Bow to give to Jamke.
At the end of chapter 5, Sigurd is betrayed and killed by Arvis, with most of his army (Jamke among them) dying with him. Edain, however, manages to escape to Isaach, where some members of the army had sent their children to safety. She becomes an abbess in Tirnanog, wherein addition to raising her own children, Lana and Lester, she acts as a mother figure to Seliph, Diarmuid/Tristan, Larcei/Creidne, and Scáthach/Dalvin. In the second generation, her two children that she has with her husband are playable. Her daughter Lana inherits her class and inventory while her son, Lester inherits his father's inventory. After the war Lester becomes the king of Verdane.
Fanon[]
Jamkedain is a popular ship for both Jamke and Edain, often being chosen in game for strategic purposes: Jamke will give decent stats to both Lana and Lester, he will give them the Charge and Adept skills and will be able to pass weapons to Lester (including a Killer Bow). Marrying Jamke with Edain is also one of the two only ways to obtain the powerful Brave Bow. However Jamke won't pass down the useful Pursuit skill. As such, it's recommended to give him the Pursuit Ring during the first generation so that he can pass it to Lester.
Jamkedain's main rival is Midain. Like Jamke, he can give bows to Lester. He also naturally gives both children the Pursuit skill. Marrying Midir with Edain is also only other way to get the Brave Bow. Midir also gives better magic stats to Lana than Jamke; however, Jamke gives generally better stats than Midir to Lester.
The other main rivals on Edain's side are Claudain and Azeldain. The players who choose to pair Edain with Azelle or Claud focus on Lana, who will have great magic stats and a rapid access to the Rescue staff. However, Lester won't be very good with these pairings.
On Jamke's side, the main rival is Jamke x Brigid. Brigid is the only other love interest for Jamke that has special conversations with him. If Brigid marries Jamke, both their kids will inherit the Adept and Charge skills. However Patty won't be able to inherit weapons from her father and will lack the Pursuit skill.
Some players also pair Jamke with Ayra as both of her kids automatically inherit the Pursuit skill no matter who their father is. From this pairing, they will get Adept and Charge. However, Scáthach won't be able to inherit weapons from his father.
