Jasmine was the first girl on Total Drama Pahkitew Island that Rodney fell in love with. Rodney and Jasmine both tried to take charge of Team Kinosewak by voicing their respective game plans. Rodney and Jasmine kept talking over each other. Jasmine told Rodney to hold on a second, while she told her idea for a plan. As Jasmine talked to Rodney, he immediately fell madly in love with her, just admiring her true beauty. Rodney didn't even state his own plan afterwards, as he was so smitten that he had completely forgotten what he was going to say. Rodney couldn't even get the words out with Jasmine and was completely tongue-tied with her. Rodney then leans in for a kiss and this disturbs Jasmine and prompts her to back away from him, slowly. Later in the episode, Jasmine stands on her fort and a herd of moose stampeded by and knocks her off the tower. Luckily for her, Rodney saved her and gives her a sexy facial expression, much to the latter's reproach.

Rodney apparently considered himself to be the boyfriend of Jasmine, even though she didn't see it that way. He continued to spout utter gibberish around her every time he was in her presence. Jasmine couldn't make heads or tails of what he was saying and just saw this guy as a total wackjob. Before the challenge started, Rodney sputtered out more nonsense to Jasmine. Annoyed with his babbling, Amy punched him in the gut, causing Rodney to fall in love with her instead. Rodney felt bad that he was now in love with Amy and realized that he now had to break the sad news to his "girlfriend", Jasmine, that they were "breaking-up". Rodney sadly walked up to Jasmine and moaned and groaned a bunch of random noises and words to her and ran off, crying his eyes out. From Rodney's perspective, this was a tearful breakup. However, from Jasmine's perspective, this was just another ridiculous encounter with that weird man, who she hasn't understood a single word of, since she first came to that island.
TWINNING ISN'T EVERYTHING
Rodney fell back in love with Jasmine again and realized that he made a huge mistake, dumping her for Amy. Rodney "broke up" with Amy and "got together" with Jasmine again, all with tons more ridiculous nonsense.
I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU KNOTS
Rodney fell in love with Samey and Scarlett, while he was still "dating" Jasmine and came to the horrible realization that he was a three-timing adulterer, who was cheating on three different girls with each other. During the truth or dare challenge, Rodney failed to tell a single truth, as he was afraid to tell the truth about the girls he was in love with. This led to him and his team repeatedly getting electrocuted. Rodney was then voted off the island by his team for his incompetence during the challenge. Before he was fired from his cannon, be "broke up" with his three girlfriends by sputtering out a bunch of ridiculous noises and then he was finally blasted away for good.

Jasmine and Rodney is a rarepair, mainly due to the popularity of rivaling canon ship Shasmine. One of the biggest selling points for JasRod, however, is the chemistry between the two of them being dominant types. With Jasmine being a natural-born leader, who intimidates people with her athletics, intelligence, and unnatural height and Rodney being the large-framed, musclebound farmer boy, who was the only son in a family of girls, the two of them could function together as a perfect power couple.
