Jaspnet is the non-binary ship between Jasper and Garnet from the Steven Universe fandom.

Canon

Season 1

Jasper had fought against the Crystal Gems around 6000 years before the series started, but only confronted them again in "The Return", where she was sent by Yellow Diamond to serve as Peridot's confidant in her regular check-up mission. When she saw what remained of the Crystal Gems, she was disappointed, dismissing Garnet specifically as a "shameless display". When she considers fighting the Crystal Gems a waste of her time, she orders Peridot to just blast them with her ship. However, when Steven deflects the blast with his mother's shield, Jasper recognizes it and believes her nemesis Rose Quartz had taken human form. So when Jasper attacks Steven, Garnet tries to rush her. But before Garnet could land a blow on her, Jasper pulls out a new weapon called a "Gem Destabilizer" and completely destabilizes Garnet's physical form, leaving only her two gemstones. Jasper then knocks Steven unconscious and takes the other Crystal Gems and Garnet's gemstones prisoner.

In "Jail Break", it is revealed that Garnet's gemstones had been tossed into cages with Gem-resistent gates and had reformed into their individual components. Steven was not aware that the two new Gems he befriended on the ship were familiar, managing to slip past the gates due to his human nature and freeing Ruby by making a door for her. When Steven and Ruby look for Sapphire, they hear her singing a song, with Steven finding her near Jasper and Peridot walking by. Jasper angrily slams the side of Sapphire's cage to get her to stop singing, but she is distracted when looking for escaped prisoners and tells Peridot to set course for Homeworld. Steven takes this opportunity to free Sapphire and she thanks him by name, pulling him into a large area in the center of the ship where she reunites with Ruby. But just as Ruby and Sapphire tell each other that the Homeworld Gems didn't hurt them, Steven witnesses the two of them fuse into Garnet. Garnet thanks Steven for freeing her, but their happy reunion is interrupted by Jasper angrily shouting while looking for the escaped Steven. Garnet tells Steven that she'll take care of Jasper while he looks for Pearl and Amethyst, managing to briefly transfer her future vision onto him to get him out of harm's way. When Jasper sees Garnet again, she's not happy to see her re-fused, angrily asking her why she wants to stay fused. She accuses Garnet of using fusion as a "cheap tactic" to make herself stronger, telling her to quit "embarrassing" herself. But Garnet just chuckles at Jasper's accusation that she had seen what Garnet "really" is and proudly tells her that she hadn't before challenging her to a fight. At the beginning of the fight, Garnet nonchalantly takes Jasper's destabilizer away and breaks it, forcing Jasper to fight fairly. However, Jasper does manage to land a few blows despite Garnet dodging them masterfully, but Garnet shrugs them off and manages to throw Jasper right into the ship's engine. The engine exploding leads to Garnet running up to the bridge to reunite with her friends, warning them that the ship is going to crash. Steven however manages to save them by putting a bubble around the four of them, but just as the Crystal Gems relax for a bit, Jasper emerges from the rubble and is out for revenge. She accuses Garnet of only having beaten her because she's a fusion, pondering that she had won if she had someone to fuse with. Lapis emerges from the rubble at the worst possible time and Jasper manages to coerce her into fusing with her to beat the Crystal Gems. But just as their fusion creates a weapon out of water, the weapon turns into a shackle, with all of the other limbs of the fusion also being shackled. Jasper is visibly trying to escape the fusion, but Lapis is dragging both of them towards the bottom of the ocean to prevent her from hurting Steven.

Season 2

The entire episode "Chille Tid" has Garnet trying to find Lapis and Jasper's fusion Malachite at the bottom of the ocean while the other Gems take a rest from having looked for Lapis all day. However, Garnet's searches weren't successful and she ends the episode sleeping them off as well.

Season 3

Garnet interacting with Jasper for the last time in the original series when the three Crystal Gems fused together to form Alexandrite to defeat Malachite in "Super Watermelon Island". Though Alexandrite does care to catch Jasper, earthquakes caused by the Cluster emerging force the Crystal Gems to hold onto each other when the unconscious Lapis and Jasper slide towards a crack in the ground. Though Garnet sees Amethyst grab Lapis, she also sees Pearl fail to catch Jasper as she disappears into the crack. None of the Crystal Gems seem bummed about losing Jasper.

Steven Universe Future

The last time Garnet and Jasper are seen interacting is when Jasper emerges from Steven's bathroom unexpectedly, with Steven being visibly shaken by what happened. When Steven creates a shield around the warp pad to prevent the Crystal Gems from following him to Homeworld, Jasper shoots the Crystal Gems a smug look. However, Steven tells her that she can't follow him to Homeworld either, just as Garnet desperately reminds Steven that they will always be his family.

Fanon

Jaspnet was once somewhat common in the early seasons, when the possibility of Jasper joining the Crystal Gems was quite popular with fans. Most of it seemed to be motivated by the other main Gems already being paired off, in particular Pearlmethyst and Lapidot were extremely popular even prior to Lapis and Peridot being on-screen for the first time. Some crack theories surrounding Jasper's hatred of fusion even suggested that Jasper herself was secretly a fusion and expresses self-loathing by talking down to Garnet or was completely unaware of her status as a fusion. This was mostly chalked up to Jasper having far more detail in her character design and being far larger than most singular Gems shown at the time, traits that were only apparent in fusions.
