JaxDust is the slash ship between Jax and Angel Dust from the Hazbin Hotel and The Amazing Digital Circus fandoms.
Canon[]
Since they derive from two different media, Jax and Angel Dust never interact canonically. Their notable similarities are their overall chaotic attitudes. Jax is known as a chaoslord for constantly seeking to pick on others' misfortunes and feeds off of destruction. The same is said for Angel Dust who willingly participates in a bombing event against Sir Pentious and is overall very sarcastic and sassy with a touch of deviousness. These two are the perfect examples of the Birds of a Feather trope because of the reasons stated before and others. However, unlike Jax, Angel Dust is capable of expressing sympathy and bonds friendships with others.
Fanon[]
JaxDust became an extremely well known ship among both fanbases. This is arguably because they share the same voice actor, Micheal Kovach, until Angel's voice was switched for another. Fan content often showcases them swapping each other's outfits or voices. Examples include replacing lines from one show to voice over the other character. Fans come to realize that these clips are very suitable for both characters. Some may enjoy shipping them in a romantic spotlight rather than viewing them as mere chaotic friends. They are seen in polymarous fanarts with other characters Micheal Kovach voiced as well.
Additionally, alternate depictions feature them as morphed into one character. Some elucidate their similar traits other than their shared voice actor and personality, such as their towering height over most of their cast. They are also depicted as anthropomorphic characters with Jax being a rabbit and Angel Dust's features being inspired by spiders. Fans who view their relationship in the romantic viewpoint can support the ship with Angel Dust's canonical homosexuality in addition to their similarities.
Since both are known to have their own mischievousness or deviousness, this influences the romantic side of their fan content with suggestive themes. Otherwise, it's not heavily paired in the intimate light. Popular videos bringing the two together are titled "Jax v. Angel Dust". These videos are fan songs with the two singing together. An example of a song is "Knock, Knock, It's Poison" which is a combination of Angel Dust's official song, Poison, and Black Gryphon's Knock, Knock, Who Cares? Jax song. These tunes are possibly inspired by Hazbin Hotel's musical traits.
