Jeckole is the femslash ship between Jessica “Jecka” and Nicole from the Class of '09 fandom.
Canon[]
For most of the game, Nicole and Jecka appear to be best friends. However, there have been instances of both girls noting that they don't really care all that much about the other. Despite this, Jecka constantly follows around and gets looped into whatever Nicole plans on doing, with some exceptions. The two can meet over many different circumstances, though most of the time, Jecka befriends Nicole as she finds her to be "cool." On multiple occasions, Jecka and Nicole have stated that they find the other girl to be very pretty. Many of their interactions has implied a possible attraction between the two with some the most blatant examples being Nicole genuinely proposing that she and Jecka give a sexual relationship a try in Re-Up, or Jecka jokingly asking Nicole to be her girlfriend in exchange for shoes in Flip Side. Characters like the Counselor and Kelly have mistakenly believed that Nicole and Jecka are dating due to their closeness.
Class of '09: The Re-Up[]
During one of the routes in Re-Up, the counselor notes that they have some "tension" between the two of them and that they should feel free to go through it. Jecka asks, disgusted, if he's asking them to make out in front of him. They demean him for his gross behavior and leave the office.
During another one of the routes, the two skip school and spend time at Nicole's house. Jecka says "This is a really bad date". When they are at the house, Jecka and Nicole go on to smoke inside of the house. Whilst smoking Nicole's brother goes up to them and demands them to stop smoking. If Nicole chooses a certain option, it will cause the two to be on bad terms. In this route it is also noted that the counselor seems to be harassing Jecka every morning while she smokes. The two are at this moment still on bad terms, so to fix this, Nicole starts verbally abusing Jeffrey in front of the counselor, so that the counselor will end up ordering Nicole to go to his office every morning, leading Jecka to have time to herself. She claims that it was the nicest thing anyone has ever done for her.
In another route, Nicole and Jecka would be sent to their school's sex addict rehab program for flirting with a mall cop. Wanting to escape from classroom, Nicole decides to cause a distraction. Should she choose to manipulate Kelly and Ari into causing a ruckus by getting the two girls to argue with each other, the fight would take a turn when Kelly and Ari begin to flirt with each other instead, something that Nicole takes great investment in. After Nicole and Jecka successfully escape the sex addict rehab program, Nicole admits that she thinks in would be fun to be "sexed up abusive lesbians" with Jecka for about a week and ask her best friend if she would be interested. Jecka refuses on the grounds that Nicole would be the only one doing the abusing in that relationship and would likely do things that Jecka would not be comfortable with, such putting a cigarette out on Jecka's neck and then licking the burn mark, which Nicole does not deny.
Fanon[]
Jeckole is, by far, the most popular ship in the fandom. Due to being the two leads of the game and being with each other more than any other character, the pair quickly gained popularity. Fans enjoy the dynamic the two share, and many like the pairing for the "toxic" aspect of their relationship. As the game is currently rising in popularity, there's yet to be much major backlash on the pairing. The pairing currently has over 500 works on AO3, though it has the most works in terms of fanart, most notably on Twitter.
