When Poe and Finn returns to the Resistance base, Poe yelling for everyone to put out the Falcon as Rey arrives, angry. She demands to know what he did to the Falcon, and he demands to know what she did to BB-8, who has part of him missing. They start arguing which stops when Finn calls Rey over, and Poe goes to BB-8. The two hug, and Rey is happy that they made it back. She asks if it's a bad mood, and Finn assumes she's referring to him. Rey corrects that she means Poe, and Finn says that he always is. They're interrupted by Chewie bringing up the Poe lightspeed skipped, and Rey goes back to arguing with him, much to Finn's annoyance. Finn tries to get them to stop, but Rey demands to know if they found the spy. Finn says that they got a message from a mole in the first order, but Poe brings up that Rey dropped a tree on BB-8.
Fanon[]
JediStormPilot is fairly popular among Star Wars sequel fans. This began fairly early after the release of The Force Awakens, even though all three characters had never been seen onscreen together. Fan fic writers quickly started to explore how they thought the three would work as a trio. Both platonically and romantically. As The Last Jedi came closer to being released, many fans became excited to see the trio finally get to interact, but were disappointed when they were separate for the whole film. Many fans were just relieved to have all three be a trio in Rise of Skywalker, and ate up all their moments for ship content. Even if they were disappointed in the movie overall. Although they still explore how they got to know each other in between the events of the movies. Specifically trying to figure out how their dynamic came to be.
Many shipped the three for the potential of them interacting. Many seeing a potential relationship between the three, despite Poe and Rey never meeting, and both of them just interacting with Finn. This is due to the characters personalities coming across rather strongly. A common joke in the fandom is the Parks & Rec, polyam relationship meme, which is pretty common for OT3's.
On AO3 JediStormPilot is the fifth most written ship for Finn, Poe and Rey.
