JehtLumi is the femslash ship between Jeht Ufairah Hindi and Lumine from the Genshin Impact fandom.
Canon[]
Jeht is first encountered by the Traveler in the Sumeru desert after the Traveler finds her, her father, and a researcher in a sinkhole. She quickly befriends the Traveler and with the latter's help, discovers the truth of Khaj-Nisut and her own family's history. The two go their separate ways after.
After much time has passed, the two then later meet again at an eremite camp, which Jeht had joined after learning her father had once been from there. If the Traveler is female (Lumine), Jeht expresses more affectionate dialogue towards her, including more flustered and bashful behavior. Jeht attempts to flirt with Lumine, stating how she hasn’t stopped thinking about Lumine since they last separated, in an attempt to get the latter to blush.
Jeht requests Lumine’s help again, this time to find the Eternal Oasis, an ancient cemetery for the Goddess of Flowers where everything is frozen in place. She introduces Lumine to her tribemates, including an older brother figure who quips about how Jeht prefers to “[hang] out with the ladies more.” With Lumine present, Jeht alarmedly tells him to not give Lumine the wrong idea, implying that Jeht is into women.
As part of the quest, Lumine is followed around by a Jinni named Liloupar. Every time Liloupar praises Lumine, Jeht gets jealous. She gets defensive when confronted about it, even getting teased by Liloupar about her obvious feelings for Lumine. Jeht admits that she sees Lumine as her best friend, with a pause and hesitance to her words. When Jeht shares stories of what she’s been up to while last separated from Lumine, Jeht’s words are noted to be tinged with consistent sadness, an indication of her having deeply missed Lumine.
Jeht becomes increasingly more emotional with Lumine as they journey on together. Each time Lumine is momentarily knocked out, Jeht grows panicked. She lets loose how she had missed the feeling of being able to explore new areas together with Lumine, along with a new feeling, too. She also admits that the fear she feels of losing her home only leaves when she’s with Lumine. Later, she expresses her fondness for Lumine and protectiveness over her, even warning Liloupar away from doing any possible harm to Lumine.
After Babel’s betrayal is uncovered, Jeht resignedly lets Lumine look over the wounds she’d sustained when the two mistakenly fought one another. They return to the eremite camp to confront Babel about this, only for Babel to reveal that she and Jeht had already discussed about Jeht potentially taking Lumine’s life beforehand. When faced with the choice between her tribe or Lumine, however, Jeht says she obviously picked Lumine, who she considers as so important to her. Before Babel dies, Jeht firmly declares Lumine as her best friend and someone she cherishes. In her goodbye hug, before parting ways with Lumine again, Jeht notably holds onto Lumine even more tightly than she would with the opposite gender Traveler.

Fanon[]
JehtLumi is a popular NPC x Traveler ship, especially for the female Traveler (Lumine), in the Genshin Impact fandom. A large part of this is due to the numerous gender-exclusive dialogue that Jeht has when her quests are done with Lumine as the Traveler. Fans find it sweet how much Jeht seems to be crushing on Lumine, with more emotion and care being expressed when the Traveler is female. Even those who normally don’t ship Genshin yuri ships or ship characters at all see JehtLumi as an exception, being the one yuri ship that they do support. This ship has helped fuel Jeht’s popularity as a NPC. Fans hope to see Jeht return in more quests and even as a playable character in the future, with more interactions with the Traveler again.

Trivia[]
Jeht giving a gift to Lumine on Valentine's Day 2024
- Jeht’s dialogue drastically changes to express more concern and longing if the Traveler is Lumine.[2]
- Azariq revealed that Jeht's sexual orientation is towards women. The gender-exclusive quest dialogue also shows that she is attracted to the female Traveler.[3]
- In the beta version of Jeht’s quest, in the final scene, Jeht originally kisses Lumine on the ear before parting ways with her.[4][5]
- For Valentine's Day 2024, Genshin Impact posted an artwork of Jeht giving the Traveler a gift that she had made for them.[6] This marked the first time that a NPC got a Valentine's Day art, which typically portray Genshin Impact's female playable characters instead.
- The Traveler can be implied to be Lumine, given Jeht's canonical crush on her.
