JereMike is the slash ship between Jeremy Fitzgerald and Michael Afton from the Five Nights at Freddy's fandom.
Canon[]
Games[]
Jeremy and Michael are both protagonists in the main series. Jeremy was a security guard at Freddy Fazbear's in the second game. While Michael is a recurring protagonist, having had the same job in the first game (as "Mike Schmidt"), as well as Sister Location (as "Eggs Benedict"). Though the timeline is a bit unclear, it is likely that Jeremy and Michael were security guards in the same year, 1987, though for different locales. Since the both of them were nightguards at their own work, they sort of share a similar experience. The two of them both worked one week at the establisment. During their nightshifts they needed to survive from the animatronics that would roam towards them and try to kill them. They both were stuck in their office during their nightshifts. This is where their similar experience kinda ends, since Michael would need to use lights to check the hallway and close the doors, while also checking the cameras and making sure that he does not run out of power. Meanwhile Jeremy does not have any doors to protect himself from the animatronic and is only able to use a spare freddy mask, camera and a flashlight with limited power. Not only but he also needs to wind up a music box. Both Jeremy and Michael survived their work. However, Michael did not survive his job at Sister Location.
Fanon[]
JereMike had some popularity during the early days of the fandom, right when Five Nights at Freddy's 2 came out. People started shipping them as soon as it was revealed that the protagonist of the second game has a different name than the protagonist of the first game. Since most of the ships in this fanbase are fanon-based, people went on to ship the two human guys that were known at the time. Though "Mike" (Michael) became a fairly important character in the series later on. On the other hand not much is known about Jeremy aside from the year he worked at Fazbear's and his name. Some speculated that Jeremy was another alias for Michael, but once the full timeline of the series was released, this became incredibly unlikely. The ship still has some popularity, since Jeremy is one of the few non-Animatronic characters who actually seems to be close to Michael's age. This has led to some people believing that it could've been a thing before Michael was cursed to haunt his own corpse.
With both of them having tides to Freddy's and Michael doing what he could to keep his father from hurting people, have created AUs that has Michael surviving the fire and teams up with Jeremy. After learning the reason why the Animatronics tried to harm him and agrees to help Mike ensure that the darker side of Freddy's doesn't harm any more people. This AU has the two become friends who were both haunted and scared of what they have been through.
A Tumblr user who goes by birdie-ghost has also created an AU that circles around the two men. As it has them as childhood friends who grew up into becoming a couple and serve as the fathers of Gregory. Since there are theories of Michael possibly being Gregory's father or is simply acquainted with the kid's parents.
After Ruin and Help Wanted 2 came out, the majority of fans believe that Cassie's dad, the FNAF 4 bully with a Bonnie mask, and the HW2 protagonist are all the same person. Some even theorize that this character is also Jeremy Fitzgerald, which is reflected in some JereMike fan works. This theory adds a new layer to Michael and Jeremy's potential backstory, with Jeremy being Michael's childhood friend and sharing his guilt in killing the Crying Child.

Movie Jeremike is the slash ship between Mike Schmidt and Jeremiah from the Five Nights at Freddy's fandom.

Five Nights at Freddy's (2023)[]
Jeremiah and Mike were both security guards who worked at the mall. In the movie novelization, Mike describes Jeremiah as someone who didn't get on his nerves the way most people generally do. They spend their break together in the start of the movie. Jeremiah reads Mike's Dream Theory book out loud. He chuckles, asking Mike if what the book says is true. Mike responds that it depends on what you believe. Jeremiah recalls the summer of '82, where he traded a Cal Ripken Jr. baseball card for a copy of Missile Command. He remarks that the card is probably worth 800 bucks now, regretting his past decision. Jeremiah asks if he can keep the book. Mike says no and takes it back. As seen in the novel version, Mike feels a bit bad for snapping at Jeremiah. He apologizes and offers to buy the both of them milkshakes.
As Mike is ordering ice cream, he notices what he mistakes to be a kidnapping but is really a father with his child. Mike beats up the father in the mall's fountain until Jeremiah pulls him away. Mike is subsequently fired, and so he and Jeremiah don't interact for the rest of the movie.
Fanon[]
Although Jeremiah is not confirmed to be the movie counterpart to Jeremy Fitzgerald, most believe that he is, hence the identical ship name to JereMike. While this has attracted some to the ship, most view the ships separately as Jeremiah and Mike have an established dynamic that doesn't align with their notions of game JereMike. Shippers enjoy the dynamic of Jeremiah's enthusiasm contrasted with Mike's low-energy demeanor. Fans anticipate that Jeremiah will play a major role in the movie sequel since Jeremy is the protagonist of FNAF 2, and hope that he and Mike have more interactions. It is occasionally shipped alongside Maxnessa, portraying the four as a friend group that goes out on double dates.
The ship has been the subject of some fandom discourse, as some feel that those who prefer other slash ships (such as Securitywaiter) over Movie Jeremike may do so out of white favoritism.[1][2]
