Jhad is the het ship between Serial Designation J and Thad from the Murder Drones fandom.
Canon[]
Pilot[]
In the Pilot, the two have met through threatening means; J and her squad had breached the Worker Drone shelter with the intent of killing off everyone inside. Thad finds himself hiding in a room with a group of Workers. It doesn't take long for J and Serial Designation V to discover them. J supposedly landed a painful blow to Thad, sending him flying backward into Doll and Lizzy and oil spilling out of him. As J approaches them, Thad gets a surge of bravery and attempts to convince the others to fight back for the sake of their survival. Unfortunately, nobody joins him, and he ends up getting pierced by V's blades. Before his life could be ended, Uzi Doorman and Serial Designation N interrupt them, rescuing Thad.
Mass Destruction[]
The two don't meet again until Mass Destruction, whereas Thad and Lizzy travel outside of the colony. Thad blindly tags along with Lizzy in her secret mission assigned to her by V. The two bump into J as she soars overhead in her space ship. She lands in the corpse house, allowing Thad and Lizzy some time to format a plan against her. The duo settle on throwing kicks and punches at her despite J having the obvious upper hand, as Thad pointed out.
They don't even land a finger on her as she blows them back unintentionally with the explosion she landed in the spiral before flying away. Thad and Lizzy, with the new assistance of Khan Doorman, follow her. They end up tagging behind her all the way to the cabin labs, where she is still unaware of their presence. It isn't until they ram a school bus into her that she notices. J threatens them with a loaded missile, demanding that they reveal themselves. Thad and Lizzy pose coolly in the mist, and the events afterwards are vague.
Absolute End[]
In the final episode, Absolute End, J is extremely irritated with the sudden change in her boss's, Cyn, plans. When Thad and his allies arrive, her anger only heightens and she attempts to murder them with a missile. Luckily, they are saved by V, who distracts J with a battle as Thad watches. The two don't interact again after Copper 9 is rescued. J is forced into self exile for her betrayal against drone kind whereas Thad enjoys his happy ending with his friends.
Fanon[]
Jhad is a decent rarepair within the fandom. It isn't entirely clear how or when the ship came to life, but it can be theorized with fan art gaining it popularity. Shippers tend to enjoy their "serious x playful" and or "sun x moon" dynamic. With J's workaholic attitude compared with Thad's laid-back, cool nature, it sparks an interesting relationship for fans to enjoy. The two currently have 20 romantic works on AO3 with plenty of fanart to accompany it; and only 12 platonic works.
