JhinHwei is the slash ship between Lukai Hwei and Khada Jhin from the League of Legends fandom.

Lore

In Hwei's biography, it states that Jhin visited the of Temple of Koyehn over summer, which was Hwei's residence, as well as a museum and conservation space of art. Jhin finds great interest in Hwei and his artistic ability, as the two grow accompanied throughout Jhin's stay. Hwei shows him around Koyehn, and exchanged their artistic perspectives with each other. Hwei notices Jhin's 'virtuosity', and finds enjoyment in their time together.

Before Jhin's departure from Koyehn, he tells Hwei that he was intrigued in his 'true art'. He claimed that Hwei created "forced façades", and challenged him to create a painting that resembled Hwei's true desires and emotions. Hwei, who initially denied the fact he was never "true to himself", painted. Jhin overlooked the painting with a blank expression, stating that he would leave tomorrow morning to "watch the lotuses bloom".

When Hwei awoke the next morning, he discovered a tragedy left by Jhin; the temple half destroyed, four paintings destroyed, and four dead bodies of Hwei's masters arranged on the ground. Once Hwei found out it was Jhin who created this massacre, he was overridden with confliction. Fear, sorrow, betrayal, and awe.

Hwei leaves Koyehn after this tragedy, spiraling into a descent of muddled emotions and despair.

In-game

Although Jhin only has in-game voice lines for Hwei in his Mythmaker skin, Hwei currently has many voicelines for Jhin, such as first encounters, assists, kills, and character-specific dialogue.

There are character-specific side quests for both Hwei and Jhin, should the two of them be in a match together on opposing teams. Once Jhin and Hwei reach level 12, one must kill the other with their ultimate ability. Killing Hwei as Jhin grants the player 4.44% lethality, and killing Jhin as Hwei grants the player 3.33% magic penetration. The side quest is called "Golden Ratio".

They both have matching emotes, with Jhin's being called "Shadows & Highlights", and Hwei's being called "Highlights & Shadows". This is a reference to one of Hwei's voicelines when he attacks: "Highlights & Shadows!"

JhinHwei is relatively popular in the League of Legends community, recognized as one of the most popular slash ships in the game alongside JayVik and Settphelios. It is both Hwei and Jhin's most popular pairing.
