- “So they got you... My dear little Pieck.”
- — Zeke after seeing the Jaegerists injure Pieck.
JikuPiku is the het ship between Zeke Jaeger and Pieck Finger from the Attack on Titan fandom.
Canon[]
Both Pieck and Zeke are warriors from the Warrior Unit in Marley, with Pieck inheriting the Cart Titan and Zeke being the inheritor of the Beast Titan until his death. Before participating in the Paradis Island Operation, the two were the only two Titan shifters left behind in case enemy nations were to attack Marley. In 850, the two joined the operation to take back the Founding Titan as Pieck, Zeke, and a few Marleyan soldiers head off to Paradis Island into Ragako. While in the village, the people who inhabited there inhaled gas which contained Zeke's spinal fluids. Zeke's screams (due to having Royal Blood) trigger the effect and turn the people of Ragako into Titans.
Sometime later, Zeke, Pieck, Reiner, and Bertolt participate in the Battle of Shiganshina District to continue the operation to take the Founding Titan. During the operation, Pieck provided boulders to Zeke as he smashes it into pieces to throw at the scouts in Wall Maria to seal the hole and take it back. Soon the scouts, except Levi Squad, plan to charge against the Beast Titan and kill it. Zeke throws the rocks at the charging scouts, who all but one died, including the commander, Erwin Smith. However, Zeke is soon ambushed by Levi as he cuts him from the nape of his tian freeing Zeke. Before Levi can kill Zeke, Pieck saves Zeke just in time in her Cart Titan form before retreating back to Reiner and heading back to their homeland, Marley.
During the time skip, they're both working together with Reiner and Porco against their enemies as war broke out between Marley and Mid-East Allied Forces after Marley lost the Colossal Titan and the Female Titan as they failed the Paradis Island Operation, which made them lose military power. During a meeting, where Zeke asks all of the Warrior unit to meet, as he shares his plan with them, Pieck listens intently. Pieck, always being smart, makes an observation about how Zeke's plan might not turned up as they expect. Zeke notes this and compliments her intelligence, agreeing with her. One more time, Pieck adds an insightful and useful intake about Zeke's plan, and this time Zeke enthusiastically agrees with her, saying that she was once again right.
Fanon[]
The ship itself isn't quite popular due to having much popular rivals like PokkoPiku, though gained renewed attention when the anime adapted Zeke reacting to Pieck's fake death. A lot of JikuPiku fans are attracted to the ship due to their complex dynamic that evolve in stages from childhood friends, to comrades, to enemies. Zeke and Pieck's height difference, their shared intellect and maturity, and Zeke repeatedly praising Pieck also make them both cute to the JikuPiku shippers. Others may dislike the ship as Pieck age is unconfirmed.
When the 7th OP for the anime debuted, many JikuPiku shippers associated Pieck's frame of staring at a coffee mug with a despondent expression to be representative of Zeke's betrayal, as Zeke is often associated with coffee/tea mugs throughout the series. Fans also associate the pair with animals due to both their titans' bestial like nature, with Zeke being attributed to a monkey and Pieck being attributed to a crocodile.
JikuPiku shippers love the subtle relationship and implied chemistry between them. Zeke and Pieck in fanfiction are often portrayed either in a canon setting or modern AUs, with its most popular themes being betrayal/loss, secret romance, and lovers to enemies. Zeke's last words spoken about Pieck are seen as greatly emotional, which fuels fans to include angst into artwork and fanfiction. In fanworks, they are often depicted beside EreMika, due to the fact that Zeke and Eren are brothers. JikuPiku currently has over 170 works on AO3 under the "Zeke Yeager/Pieck Finger" tag. JikuPiku is the most written het ship for Zeke (third overall), and the third most written for Pieck.
