Jimxie is the slash ship between Jim Lake Jr. and Douxie Casperan from the Tales of Arcadia fandom.

Jim first met Douxie in "Night Patroll" when he saw the punk emo teen charming Claire and wanted to put a stop to it. Douxie is from Jim's rival school and he didn't let the rivalry stop him from being kind towards Jim and everyone else at his school, as he hands out fliers to the Battle of the Bands; that Claire and their friends take part in. Due to Jim's advice about finding ways to balance one's life.

They met again in "So I'm Dating a Sorceress", once Jim realizes that Douxie works at the restraint he and his friends decided to have their double date at. To make Douxie leave before he charms Claire again, Jim tells him that his party will be eating steak. By the time Douxie returned with their orders Claire had not long got herself possessed by Morgana and even though Jim wasn't aware of this at the time, his jealousy has him not minding the way "Claire" acted towards Douxie when she orders him to leave.

After Douxie brought Toby, Steve and AAARRRGGHH!!! to his master Merlin on a flying castle, he learns about Jim's encounter with the mysterious Green Knight, who Douxie saw moments before he was brought back to Camelot castle with the others, and that the crystal Merlin has cased the Trollhunter in is preventing the onyx shard in Jim’s chest from working the rest of its way toward his heart. Buying them time, as Douxie's master works on opening a door to the past so they get to safety. The castle was then attacked by the Arcane Order as their attacks cause Jim's stasis chamber to slide across the castle until it fall into the time rift. Once Douxie notices this he goes in after Jim, beside Claire and Steve, and end up being trapped in the past. Where the crack to Jim's stasis chamber has him awakening from it. The era they become trapped in was during the dangerous time when people like Jim and Douxie were hunted down for having connections to magic. This places Jim in danger for being half troll, while Douxie being Merlin's apprentice gives him protection from King Arthur's law. When the group got surrounded by Sir Lancelot's troops Douxie tries to convince the said knight to not harm Jim, by saying that he is a good troll while hoping that his connection to Merlin would save the Trollhunter from the knights, as well as the King's strong dislike of magical creatures. Lancelot's loyalty to Arthur, however, has him ordering his men to capture the group so they can take them to their King.

When Jim woke up from the stasis chamber he didn't understand what was happening around him, until after he was placed in a cage and was surprised to see Douxie with Claire and Steve. After Douxie tells Jim that they are trapped in the mid-12th century, before thanking Jim for tipping him at his part time waiter job, Claire explains that Douxie is Merlin's apprentice. Both Jim and Douxie then notices that the onyx shard in Jim's chest isn't moving deep into him. This reassured them as it means that their trip to the past has locked the shard in place. Minutes before they were brought before Arthur, Douxie tells Jim and the others to follow his lead. Once Arthur saw Jim Douxie knew that the King would want him dead and tries to save Jim by promising Arthur that him isn't a threat. Arthur's law, however, has him ordering his knight to kill Jim for being a troll who has left the woods. While the knights held Douxie back so he couldn't try to stop them from dragging Jim into the sun's light. Luckily Morgana manages to convince her half brother to spare Jim, before the king orders Douxie to return back to Merlin's side. While Jim was placed in the castle's dungeon with the other captured other trolls and magical creatures.

Douxie believes that as long as they lay low and don't do anything that would affect the future from within the past, while searching for away back home to their present timeline, Jim will be fine. Until Claire informs Douxie of Arthur's new orders to kill Jim and the other caged trolls at dawn. This has Douxie choosing Jim's life over rules and their original plan to lay low. With the magic dagger Douxie brings to the dungeon he and Claire were able to free Jim and the other captured trolls. Along with Douxie using is magic to ensure that Jim gets to the safety of the woods with the trolls, while making sure that neither Arthur or his knights become aware of his involvement. Merlin, however, did find out and once the Time Map informs them that Douxie's actions to save Jim have changed a future moment in the time, as well as their present timeline if they don't fix it. When Douxie informs Claire and Steve of this, the Time Map then shows them a possible change for a brighter future once Arthur makes peace with both Jim and Morgana. While Jim does what he can to not get caught by the knights, Douxie tries to tell Merlin of what he learned. Even though Douxie had failed to get Arthur and Morgan to make peace with one another, Jim had manged to find himself in the safety of a troll sanctuary. Who didn't want to fight beside the humans, meaning that history has changed on the troll's side as well. Until both Jim and Douxie did their parts to fix the damaged timeline by making sure that trolls and humans do work together at the Battle of Killahead Bridge.

When it was time to get Arthur to make peace with the trolls for the battle to come, Douxie and Jim are reunited. The two were worried as they watch Arthur trying to make the alliance, despite what the King has done to the trolls in the past. Not only did the two succeed in fixing history, Merlin informs them that once the battle is over they'll be sent back to their home time. Even if the trip back will have the shard in Jim's chest continue the rest of its work, but Jim doesn't inform Douxie and the others about this. While Jim relaxes a bit before the war, Douxie helps Merlin to forge the Amulet of Daylight, that will be Jim's centuries later. Until then it will be entrusted to the very first Trollhunter who turns out to be Jim's new troll friend Callista, a.k.a. Deya the Deliverer. Because the trolls weren't happy with the amulet's choice and it hinders their new alliance with the humans, Douxie and Jim mange to convince Arthur and Callista to fight for the sake of the future. Before the Battle of Killahead Bridge began Jim stands beside Douxie as the young wizard promises to buy them breakfast when they get home. As Douxie helps Merlin fight Morgana, the elderly wizard informs Douxie of the danger Jim will be placed in the moment they return to the future. The sad news shocks Douxie, as he has no idea how he or future Merlin can save Jim from the shard.

After the two and their friends fixed history and it was finally time for them to return back to the present, Douxie listens to Jim's statement as to why they need to go back despite the danger to his own life, before he promises Jim and Claire that he'll find away to save Jim from his fate. When the Arcane Order and their Green Knight attacks them in the present, however, Jim sees Douxie trying to protect him beside the rest of their friends until the Trollhunter chose to sacrifices his humanity to save them. Knowing that Jim forced the shard to pierce his heart for their sake, Douxie makes sure that Jim's sacrifice don't go in vain as he gets the others to the safety of Hex Tech. Where he comes up with a plan to save Jim. Even though it failed and the Green Knight had forced beast Jim to attack Douxie. Knowing that the Order needs to be stopped before they find the seals and destroy the world, Douxie leaves Jim's rescue to Claire and the others. Until he learns that they were captured and goes to save them, along with Jim. Once Douxie knows that they'll be able to escape the rest of the way without him, Douxie stays behind to face the Order.

Similar to how Jim was given a second chance at life when he was transformed back into a human from within the stone rubble of his former beast form, Douxie was brought back from the dead as it wasn't his time. When Douxie wakes up he askes the others where Jim is before the later shows the young wizard that he is human again, and becomes pleased by it. With Arthur gone and Excalibur without a master, Douxie asks Jim to try and pull the sword out, but Jim couldn't do it. This has Jim questioning himself since the amulet is gone and Excalibur didn't except him, Douxie cheers Jim up by reassuring him it wasn't magical artefacts that gave him strength but the bonds he shares with his friends. A lesson Douxie finally understands. Even though Douxie was able to stop the Arcane Order this time he knew that they'll keep coming after Nari, and has little choice but to leave Arcadia with her. Before Douxie leaves he promise Jim and the rest of the Champions of Arcadia that he'll return soon.

Due to the way Jim acted towards Douxie in Trollhunter fans didn't ship them until Wizards aired and inspired a few to do so. By focusing on their new found friendship in the third Tales of Arcadia story. Some fans rival Jimxie with Jlaire and Douxaire. Some of the ship's fanart has Jim as either his human or his half-troll self. Because "Dragon's Den" reveals that Douxie sees Jim as a brother, fans have Jim view Douxie as one as well. Along with making fanwork that references Douxie keeping his promise to buy Jim and the other brunch when they return back to the present [1]. The face Douxie made when he listened to Jim's statement about how he wasn't going to place other people's lives above his own, before they return to the future, got them to see that Jim's words have helped Douxie to learn what it means to be a hero, as well as the kind of hero he can chose to be [2]. Since both Jim and Douxie have chosen to follow their own rules, as it made them the heroes they are now.

Before it was confirmed, fans had theories Douxie being a wizard and the style of his bracelet hinted that he had helped Merlin create Jim's amulet. Along with fans knowing that Jim's time with Merlin means that he'll return in Wizards and learn that Douxie is one himself. After Wizards ended with a cliff-hanger, with Jim looking at Excalibur while Douxie is now a full-fledged wizards, fans began to assume that Jim will one be able to pull the sword out like Douxie believes he will. Which might make the two the new (none villain) Arthur and Merlin. While the brief scene of Douxie looking at the metal pieces of Jim's former amulet in the "afterlife" hints that Douxie might rebuild it.

Trivia

• Jim's full name is James Lake Jr, while Douxie's is Hisirdoux Casperan.
• Despite Jim being the leader of Team Trollhunters before it became part of the Guardians of Arcadia, he serves as its second-in-comment while the title of leader was given to Douxie after Merlin died.
• Both Jim and Douxie took part in the battle of the Eternal Night, but didn't cross paths with one another during part one or two of "The Eternal Knight".
• Even though Jim didn't like Douxie before Wizards, the said show reveals that Jim didn't let his resentment stop him from tipping Douxie at the restraint.
• When the dragon Charlemagne shows Douxie a vision of the young wizard's new found family, it shows Jim beside Claire, Steve and the late Merlin. Meaning that Douxie sees Jim (along with Steve) as a brother.
• The blue crystal on Douxie's staff looks similar to the stone that was in Jim's amulet.
• Just as Jim had both Blinky and Stricklander to fill in the void that was left by his father, Douxie sees Merlin as his father. Since Archie was Douxie's only family before Merlin took him in.
