JohnZee is the het ship between John Constantine and Zatanna Zatara from the DC Comics fandom.
Canon[]

There are three different versions to how they first met in canon.
- Zatanna met John during her search for her father. They fell in love and he started teaching her some magic.
- In one Hellblazer anniversary issue it was mentioned that Constantine attended college where he met and fell in love with Zatanna.
- The new 52 changed that. They're now in their 20s. Constantine travels to New York in hope to study under Nick Necro. While John talks to Nick, Zatanna has a show. He immedeatly falls in love with her.
Zatannas connection to John Constantine first was introduced in Swamp Thing #49 by Alan Moore as friendly Exes, who still care a lot for eachother. After Zataras death Zatanna started blaming John and they grew distant from eachother. In the Books of Magic, which takes place a couple of years after Zataras death, John is looking for assistence in teaching Timothy Hunter. They visit Zatanna, who welcomes him with an embrace. Later when John leaves she gives him a kiss and wishes him well.
Justice League Dark - Animated Movie[]
Batman asks Zatanna to help find Constantine since he knows they have a history. She replies that they didn't stay in touch.
In a fight with Felix Faust Zatanna looses control. She throws a gigantic sword at faust, but John jumps in front of it causing Zatanna to stop. She demands him to get out of her way but he tells her he can't do that, She gains clarity again and falls softly to the ground.
In the end they rebuild the house of mystery.
Justice League Dark Apokolips War[]
The movie starts with John waking up to Zatanna, who tells him that she loves him.
As Zatanna gets eaten alive by paradoomdemons, John is unable to help her and flees.
2 years after Zatannas death John is still mourning and blaming himself for her death. Unable to understand how he could have ran away when she needed him.
Later Constantine tries to make a deal with Trigon, who kills him instead by breaking his neck. He wakes up in heaven where he is greeted by Zatanna. Confused by the situation he asks her how she get him into heaven, Zee says she "pulled a few strings". She then tells him about the spell she casted on him, which caused him to run away when she died, and asks him for forgiveness, John welcomes this because he now can spend eternity with her.
His happiness is quickly interrupted as Zee tells him he is needed back on earth. She gives him a kiss which resurrects him.
Constantine - The House of Mystery[]
The spectre sentences John to eternity in the house of mystery where he is meant to live a life he dreamed of, so he wouldn't do the same mistake in a real world again.
He imagens Zatanna as his wife. They have two kids - Della and Jack.
