Joulectra is the non-binary ship between Electra and Joule from the Starlight Express fandom.

Wembley Park Theatre[]
Control gets word that a new engine has made a late entry into the race. After Wrench and Killerwatt come forward, Joule comes forward with Volta by her side. She introduces herself as Electra's dynamite truck, while Volta says he's Electra's freezer truck. The two state back and forth that Electra is "cool" and "hot", before they join the other components in listing the other reasons Electra is so great. They then all come together as Electra reveals themselves, Joule right next to them on their left side. After they finish and Greaseball interrupts them, the five stand above, Joule on Electra's left side next to Wrench. Joule and the other components in recruiting Pearl for Electra's race partner before returning to them. After the second heat, Joule and the other components go below with Electra, and backs them as they try to get Rusty to leave. Electra then turns all the components around and they go to get ready for the final heat.

Joulectra is a common pairing in the StEx fandom. The two rarely have individual interactions in the show away from the other components outside of a few productions. As a result fans often ship the two more based on behind the scenes pics. As often the actors will be flirting or sexual. It is more often shipped as part of the large Electronents, rather than as an individual pair. Some fans see Joule as in charge of the other components when Electra's not around or out of commission. This leads to there being a lot of assumed trust between Electra and Joule. As well as her possibly being their second in terms of keeping their team in check. Some also think she should have been their racing partner, rather than having them pair with any of the other coaches.
On AO3, Joulectra is the eighth most written ship for Electra and the third most written for Joule. There are currently 6 written works.
