Julena is the het ship between Lena and Julian from the Fire Emblem fandom.

Lena is a cleric and Macedonian noble who ran away to avoid an arranged marriage with Prince Michalis. During her journey, she helps people in need before being abducted by the Soothsires, a bandit group that terrorizes the Samsooth Mountains. Julian was a member of the Soothsires before betraying them and saving Lena. The pair flees through the mountains, pursued by the Soothsires. Lena offers to warp Julian to a safe place but he refuses, not wanting to leave her behind. The two are finally rescued by Marth's army, who help them to defeat the Soothsires. Julian and Lena both join the army, with Lena acting as a healer while Julian puts his thieving skills to good use.
War of Heroes[]
Lena and Julian move to Macedon together and take care of orphans at a monastery. Before the War, Lena, Maria, Nyna, and Elice are kidnapped by Gharnef. When Marth's army visits the village Julian is living in, he joins up with them again, hoping to find Lena. After defeating Hardin, Marth and his allies learn that Gharnef is planning to resurrect Medeus and sacrifice the four kidnapped cleric nobles in order to restore the Shadow Dragon's strength. The army finds the kidnapped priestesses surrounding Medeus, under a trance. Julian begs Lena to wake up, saying that he is a man with no merits, but will do anything for her, and that his only wish is to see her smile. Lena finally snaps out of her trance and says that she knew Julian would come to rescue her. She apologizes for acting like a spoiled brat, and asks him to call her "Lena" instead of "Miss Lena." She promises to return to Macedon with him and admits that she loves him. After the War and the defeat of Medeus, Lena and Julian get married and return to the monastery with Maria and Minerva.
Fire Emblem anime[]
The anime is not canon, but is based on the events of Mystery of the Emblem Book 1, with the story remaining almost identical to that of the game. However, the anime expands on Julian and Lena's relationship. Their very first meeting is shown, during the period where Lena is imprisoned by the Soothsires. Julian brings her food, which she initially refuses, thinking it is stolen. Julian admits that the food is actually his dinner, and Lena gratefully accepts it. Their escape is also shown. During their escape, they encounter the swordmaster Navarre. Julian tries to fight him, but Navarre avoids him and kills the Soothsires pursuing them. Navarre lets Julian and Lena go, and they are later saved by Marth's army.
Shadow Dragon manga[]
The Shadow Dragon manga also largely follows the plot of the game. In this adaptation, Julian is said to have been raised by the Soothsires, but betrays them to save Lena nonetheless. During their escape, they are caught by the Soothsires and Navarre. Julian is wounded by the swordmaster and Lena teleports him away to save him from further harm. Caeda finds Julian and takes him on her pegasus. The two attack the Soothsires and free Lena once again while the gang is attacking Marth's caravan. Julian and Lena join Marth's army once the Soothsires are defeated. Later, Lena finds her brother, Matthis, in the forest. While searching for Lena, Julian sees her with Matthis and becomes jealous, not knowing what their relation to each other is. Believing that Matthis is an enemy, Julian attacks him. He is surprised when Lena tells him that Matthis is her brother.
Fire Emblem Heroes[]
Fire Emblem Heroes takes place after New Mystery of the Emblem, and as such, Lena and Julian are based off of their characterizations in that game. In some of her lines, Lena apologizes to Julian for causing him so much trouble. In some of his quotes, Julian states that he would do anything for Lena.
Fanon[]
Julena is the most popular ship for both Julian and Lena since it is canon. However, there are not many fanfictions centered around the couple, probably due to the fact that the games in which they appear aren't the most popular in the Fire Emblem franchise. In most fanfictions that they appear in as a couple, they are in the background, not the main focus of the story. Fanfictions that do center around Julena will often portray their first meeting and Julian subsequently betraying the Soothsires, or their life together after the War of Heroes. Despite the lack of fanfictions about them, there is a considerable amount of fanart of the pair.
The Fire Emblem anime is often criticized by fans of the games, but the portrayals of Julian, Lena, and their relationship is often liked.
Fans of this ship who play Fire Emblem Heroes often hope that the pair will get a duo alt. FEH players who ship Julena also tend to pair the two characters up and build them to work as supports together.

Trivia[]
- Julian's ending in Fire Emblem 1 originally said that it was rumored he became a father. However, this is refuted by the sequel, and the line implying as such was removed in both remakes.
- If Lena dies in Mystery in the Emblem and its remake, Julian will continue to take care of the orphans at the monastery without her.
- Lena and Julian both have death quotes that mention each other.
- In Mystery of the Emblem Book 2 and its remake, Julian has Lena's Mend staff in his inventory when recruited.
