JunYuka is the het ship between Yukari Takeba and Junpei Iori from the Persona fandom.
Canon[]
Junpei and Yukari have known each other since middle school. Junpei will always call Yukari “Yuka-tan” (Yukari-chi in Japanese version). Yukari will sometimes calls Junpei “Stupei” in annoyance in the English version. She and Junpei are simply friends, due to Junpei having romantic feeling for Chidori.
On the first day of Gekkoukan High, Yukari wasn’t expecting Junpei to being in the same class with her again. After Makoto joins SEES, Yukari is very surprised that to learn that Junpei has the potential as well, and that he was recruited by Akihiko after he found him crying during the Dark Hour. Yukari, Junpei, and Makoto are the first to explores Tartarus.
Yukari and Junpei participate in the first full moon operation in May against Arcana Priestess. Before they enter the monorail, Yukari tells Junpei not to look up as they climb the ladder.
In December when the rest of SEES (except Aigis) are discussing about Ryoji and whether or not they should kill him, Yukari tries to lighten up the mood by teasing Junpei. This only make him angrier since he is still stressed about the world ending. Yukari tries to stop Junpei from taking his anger and blaming Makoto for bringing on the Fall. Yukari feels bad for what she says and she apologizes to him later since she never realized how stressful the situation is.
Female Route[]
During the full moon operation in July at the love hotel, Yukari cannot be paired with Kotone due to Shadows only pairing by opposite sex. Instead she ends up being paired with Junpei if he is in Kotone’s party. When they regroup with Kotone and Akihiko after they regain their senses, if Kotone asks them how they are doing, Yukari denies this and says nothing happened. It is implied the others went through a similar experience as them. After the fight against the Arcana Lover, Yukari teases Junpei if the reason for him being in a bad mood is because a girl become leader. This just makes Junpei more annoyed and left to rejoin the others back to the dorm.
Film[]
After visiting Akihiko at the hospital, Yukari and Junpei have a conversation at the monorail about Makoto and his attitude.
During the love hotel, Yukari expresses disgust when a charmed Junpei comments on her body before he proceeds to attack her. Yukari dodges it and a charmed Junpei gets slapped unconscious by Makoto.

Kotone’s Route[]
In Act 1, since Junpei does not invade Kotone’s personal space, he has no problem getting in Yukari’s personal space, which creeps her out.
In Act 2, when Yukari is charmed by Arcana Lovers, Junpei freaks out when he sees her in her berserk state. After Yukari breaks free from the Shadow’s influence, Junpei along with Akihiko get charmed instead. A charmed Junpei gets paired with Yukari and he almost kisses her until she pushes him away. Yukari then gets attacked and overwhelmed by a charmed Junpei until Kotone summons her Persona to snap him and Akihiko out of the charm effects. After Junpei comes back to his senses, he tries to apologize to Yukari, only to be slapped in the face by her.
Persona 4 Arena[]
Three years later, Junpei and Yukari stay in touch since they joined Shadow Operative along with former members of SEES.

- During the Yakushima trip, Junpei compliments Yukari’s swimsuits and how she has a nice body. Yukari reacts disgusted by Junpei’s perverted nature.
The Answer[]
- Junpei is shown to be worry for Yukari’s obsession to go back to the past to save Makoto. Junpei warns Aigis about facing Yukari during their match. (In Reload: Episode Aigis, Junpei does not warns Yukari before he fights Aigis and Metis due to Yukari's obsession to save Makoto from his fate has been tone down. )
Fanon[]
JunYuka is one of the lesser known ships of the Persona 3 fanbase. Most fans portray them as good friends after the events of Persona 3 and there are also some very rare fanfictions where they are together after Chidori's death. Fans of the ship enjoy the banter between the two characters, and they are sometimes likened to the ship HanaChie from Persona 4.
The ship is most often rivalled by the canon relationship between Junpei and Chidori, and the semi-canon relationship between Yukari and Makoto. On AO3, there are a total of 22 works.
