Juntae & Juyang is the friendship between Seo Juntae and Im Juyang from the Weak Hero fandom.
Canon[]
Eugene Gale (Seo Juntae in the Korean version) and Rowan Im (Im Juyang in the Korean version) are freshmen at Eunjang High School. Eugene is in Class 1-5 and Rowan is in Class 1-1.
Season 1[]
Chapter 47
Eugene signs up for single subject classes at Hero Cram School. He goes upstairs to take a look at the classrooms. He notices that he’s felt someone looking at him for a while as a shadowy figure stands behind him. The figure calls out Eugene’s name and Eugene recognizes him as his childhood friend, Rowan Im.
Rowan tells him that after arriving in Korea, it was decided that he’d be going to Eunjang and that he was worried that he wouldn’t know anybody. Eugene asks when did Rowan come back to Korea since his family moved out of the country back in middle school. Rowan says that his dad’s business didn’t go so well so they had to come back to Korea. Since it was sorted out what school he was going to attend, he thought that he’d get the basics down beforehand at cram school. Rowan says that Eugene is a changed man since he’s also going to cram school and Eugene says that he’s finally realized the importance of studying thanks to Gray’s reality check.
Eugene says that Rowan’s changed a lot and says he’s gotten taller and has a different vibe now. Rowan says he was popular before coming back and to just give him the word if Eugene needs to talk about something or needs help. Rowan claims that he can fight and over exaggerates that he might be at Jake’s level. He says most of the dudes out there think that they can fight but that he’d lay them out any day. Hugo bumps into Eugene and tells him to not block the way. Eugene looks around and notices that Rowan vanished but sees Rowan looking out the window and pretends to not have seen anything. He asks if Eugene’s aunt still runs Singil Vet and apologizes for moving schools without telling Eugene about it.
Chapter 48
Rowan shows Eugene a photo of them as kids in front of Eugene’s aunt’s vet. Since neither of them have any classes left, Rowan suggests going home together. Eugene says that since it might rain, he’ll ask his friend in another class if he’s gonna come too.
Gray still has another class and tells Eugene to go ahead since he has his own umbrella. Eugene tells Rowan that Gray sits next to him at school. As they head home, Eugene notices Helmet in an alley and tells Rowan who he is. Eugene suggest going around to avoid him. Rowan says he could take Helmet out with one blow to the jaw but he’ll let it slide since Eugene is so desperate to stop him. He realizes he forgot his wallet at his desk in cram school and parts ways with Eugene
Chapter 51
After cram school ends for the night, all of the Eunjang students are surrounded by Hyeongshin students hunting down the White Mamba. Eugene sends a message to their friends in the group chat requesting help but no one is reading it. Donkey notices Eugene whispering and orders him to get to the front. Eugene tells Rowan and Gray not to get involved and that he just needs to buy some time since he is the only one that has experience getting beaten up.
Chapter 53
After Gray reveals himself, Rowan steps forward and begins to bluff. He thinks it’s risky to take on Hyeongshin’s numbers but they only need to buy some time according to Eugene.
Chapter 56
Rowan struggles against Hyeongshin now that his attack pattern is blown. Eugene tries holding one of the thugs back but gets hit. Rowan elbows the thug and can't get a solid hit on a moving target. Grape punches Rowan and Eugene tries to hit him but Grape just punches him too. Grape orders everyone to wrap things up.
Chapter 57
When Gerard Jin arrives to help, Gerard asks if Gray and Eugene are alright. The Hyeongshin mob are shocked by Gerard’s arrival but Rowan is even more surprised that Eugene is friends with Do-Eui Middle School’s Mad Hound.
Chapter 60
When the Baku Fam gathers after defeating Hyeongshin, Rowan is surprised that Eugene is friends with Ben Park while Ben wonders who Rowan is.
Season 2[]
Chapter 63
After Rowan enrolls into Eunjang High School, Rowan tells Eugene that he thinks he got put in the worst class. Eugene recalls Phillip being in Rowan’s class and thinks he’d also have had it bad if Gray hadn’t been in his class. Eugene and Rowan want to talk about the White Mamba making it on the Shuttle Patch Rankings but know that Gray isn't interested in those kinds of things and don’t want to annoy him.
Chapter 65
Gerard and Rowan visit Gray and Eugene in Class Five due to not having any friends in their own classes.
Chapter 67
During break, Gray drinks a carton of milk Ben offers. Rowan arrives to Class Five and Eugene says Rowan is feeling down since he's in Class One. Rowan says it's like Phillip is in control of the whole class and they're all just kinda weird.
Chapter 73
Eugene notices that Rowan has a new bag. Rowan says that a girl ripped his bag to pieces and lent her hers on the condition that she gets him the same one, Eugene doesn’t believe him.
Chapter 81
At Hero Cram School, Rowan and Eugene leave without Gray due to Class A having make up classes. Both of them wonder how someone with great grades like Gray ended up at Eunjang and think it has something to do with his past. Rowan receives a text from an unknown number saying they'll give him the bag at the back of Pass Edu in fifteen minutes. Rowan, thinking it is Julia who sent the message, tells Eugene he can come along to prove it really did happen.
Jared, who had framed Rowan as the thief and lured him out, points over to where Rowan and Eugene are walking. Hwangmo and Hayden beat up Eugene and Rowan, and they have the two guys who lost the bag drag them to the rooftop. Rowan recognizes Wolf as he approaches them.
Chapter 82
Rowan tells the truth about how he got the bag from Julia, but Wolf doesn’t believe him and punches him multiple times. Rowan repeats his answer when asked again. Eugene grabs Wolf’s arm and begs him to stop. Wolf punches and kicks Eugene, angering Rowan and causing him to elbow him. Wolf continues beating up Rowan and Rowan realizes that Wolf isn’t someone he can handle.
Chapter 114
Rowan, and Eugene are reading the Shuttle Patch post about Gerard being beaten by Jake and how Ben will be pissed. A poll between who would win in a fight, Jake or Ben, occurs. Jake wins the poll with 67% of the votes. Eugene asks Rowan if Teddy gave up on his studies. Since he lives in Noryangjin, he thinks it’ll be cool if he goes to cram school too. Rowan says he brought it up with Teddy before but Teddy declined. Rowan says they probably shouldn’t tell Ben about the poll and asks if Ben left Eunjang already, but Eugene tells him that Ben’s class is in charge of cleaning the auditorium today.
Chapter 119
Eunchan punches Eugene, angering Rowan. Eunchan dodges Rowan's punch and delivers a punch to the face followed by a knee to the stomach and a punch directly to the eye. Rowan realizes Eunchan enjoys fighting and doesn't think he can beat him. Eunchan says Gray is going to get his ass kicked too, but is surprised that Gray is still standing. Rowan tries to attack him while he's looking away, but Timmy kicks him. Eunchan wants Timmy to hold Rowan down but Eugene restrains Timmy instead. He refuses to let go even after Timmy punches him.
Chapter 127
When Rowan comments about Ben being cool, Eugene silently thinks that Rowan was also cool when he defeated Eunchan.
Season 3[]
Chapter 133
Eugene spots the Mok-Ha Duo on the sidewalk below and points them out to Rowan. Rowan mentions how their ranks skyrocketed after beating Myles.
Chapter 143
Eugene receives news that he passed the first round of the science invention competition. He tells Rowan that the incident at the pitch-black alley in Sindorim is what gave him the idea for his project. Due to the lack of streetlights in that area, bullies hung around there to beat up other kids. In the past, Eugene and Rowan were beaten up there, and Eugene pretended to have life-threatening asthma so he and Rowan could escape. All of the bullies disappeared from the alley as soon as street lights were installed.
Chapter 193
When Eugene, Gray, and Lily Nam (Nam Jeongah in the Korean version) go to rescue Julia from Jailbreak, Gray deals damage to the gang members. Eugene thinks that they need to end it once and for all. Even though Gray has knocked them down, Jailbreak will still get back up and fight. No one can top Gray’s momentum in a fight, but his one weakness is his disadvantage when being ganged up on. He decides to cover Gray’s weakness by channeling his inner Rowan. Using the bravado Rowan had taught him, Eugene reveals that Gray is the White Mamba and terrifies Jailbreak.
Chapters 207-211
Rowan and Eugene arrive at Master Arcade and, not knowing about Doyun Kim being there since he is in the bathroom, enter. Rowan and Eugene notice how empty the place is. Rowan says his backpack is heavy because of the large textbook Ben has given him to read. He sets his bag down on top of the arcade machines and they start playing.
Doyun exits the bathroom and his cigarette smoke causes Rowan to cough. When Rowan turns to the smoker, he quickly tells Eugene that they should leave. As they head for the door, Doyun’s goons arrive. Donggyu asks if they have cigarettes but they don’t have any. Donggyu slaps them and tells them to always carry around cigarettes to give to adults. He lets them go.
Rowan and Eugene leave and don’t want Gray to get involved. Eugene tells him that the arcade is closed and suggests a cyber cafe. Rowan realizes that he has forgotten his backpack inside. He insists on going to get it alone. Rowan gets hit by Donggyu and after Gray enters, he is furious when he sees Rowan’s injuries.
Eugene wonders what's taking so long and enters the arcade. He sees that Rowan has gotten even more injured and that Gray is mad. Gray defeats Donggyu and is then challenged by Doyun. Gray calls him pathetic for relying on numbers and calls him embarrassing. Doyun is pissed off and sends his boys out. Gray also sends Eugene and Rowan out. They leave and close the shutter.
Chapter 220
Rowan and Gray find Eugene beaten unconscious in an alley. Rowan screams Eu gene's name and rushes over to his side. Gray requests for Rowan to gather up the parts and to let the gang know. He deduces that, based on the brand of cigarette and the gum, the culprit is Dongha. He tells Rowan to take care of Eugene while he kills Dongha.
Chapters 221-227
Rowan does his best to protect Eugene as Teddy and Gerard help fight off Hyeongshin. After Ben arrives and defeats Hyeongshin, Rowan rushes Eugene to the hospital.
Chapter 240
Robin tries to rush to his Grape's aid after Teddy defeats him, but Rowan says they have unfinished business. Rowan couldn't fight the Hyeongshin mob because he had been carrying Eugene back then, but now he wants to tear Robin apart with his own two hands.
Chapter 266
Ben asks if Eugene woke up from his coma and Gerard confirms it. Gerard also mentions that Teddy and Rowan are already there.
At the hospital, Eugene is holding his prototype light switch model and is surprised because it had been completely broken. Rowan says it seemed like it was important, so he brought it with him. Rowan recalls Gray telling him that the light switch was important to Eugene and to take care of it. He also recalls how the light had been used to temporarily blind Donald.

Fans ship Rowan and Eugene because they are childhood friends, similar to BakuGotak. Despite Rowan suddenly moving to Australia in their first year of middle school and not keeping in contact during those years, the two remained on friendly terms upon reuniting. The two were able to reconnect immediately and Rowan jumps in to fight alongside Eugene and his friends against Hyeongshin, despite Hyeongshin not being his own personal enemy at the time. Rowan has visited Eugene’s aunt’s vet clinic in the past. He becomes furious when he finds out that Eugene was beaten into a coma.
Most people write them as just best friends but there are some people who ship them romantically.
