Juzi is the femslash ship between Serial Designation J and Uzi Doorman from the Murder Drones fandom.
Canon[]
Pilot[]
After meeting N, Uzi hears the return of Serial Designation J and V, aborting the corpse house when N’s attention shifted from her. Unfortunately, J notices, and scolds N for allowing a Worker to escape unharmed. She reboots him with a violent slap and he chases after Uzi after regaining his facial recognition and memory. Uzi’s attempts at shutting the main door to the colony were unsuccessful, and N pried the entrance wide enough to allow his comrades to enter. Before N could murder Uzi, he refrains from doing so after witnessing her father abandon her, but his thoughts were interrupted by J’s presence that was followed by V. He tosses Uzi to the side, allowing her to keep her life by pretending to be deceased. She witnessed J puncture N with a virus after he made a claim that rebelled against their home company, JCJenson, before flying away to join V in the massacre.
J approaches a cowering group of students and WDF members with murderous intent. She was caught off guard by a repaired N and an active Uzi. Uzi gives N the option to choose his target, in which he selects J only to be in vain as the latter bluntly declines his choice and takes on J instead. She uses N’s pen gifted to him via J and throws it in J’s direction, piercing one of her sensors and causing unknown neon liquid to rapidly spill out as J screams in agony. Forcing it out, J curses JCJenson’s well made pens as she holds it above her head, which allows Uzi to launch herself in the air and push the pen further into J’s head with her foot. With one of her sensors destroyed, it puts her at a disadvantage. Blinded, she whips out a machine gun and aimlessly blasts it. Before it could hit her target, Uzi’s AbsoluteSolver projects an invisible force that repels the bullets. Regaining her sight, J menacingly laughs as she utilizes an unknown force that is capable of disabling a Worker’s consciousness temporarily. Uzi plummets to the ground after losing her capability to move.
Accepting her victory, J approaches the unconscious drone and initiates the “best monologue ever" which distracts her for long enough for Uzi to regain her capabilities and pierces J’s foot with the latter’s nanite acid tail. Yelping and cursing in pain, she stumbles backwards and trips. She finds herself at gunpoint, and Uzi obliterates the upper half of her body using her signature railgun.
Heartbeat[]
Thad informs Uzi and N of the strange disappearance of J’s corpse when he arrives at her death scene to obtain Uzi’s railgun and deliver it to its former owner. He explained that the body appeared to be crawling away, which piqued Uzi’s interest and despite her self-exile, she returned to the colony to investigate. Some time into their journey, Thad is kidnapped by an eldritch being and Uzi and N rush to his rescue. They discover a holographic version of himself attempting to converse with them, much to their confusion due to its unusual and embarrassing excuses at luring them in. N projects a shuriken and Uzi kicks it to an open area within the eldritch and releases the real Thad from its clutches.
The male Worker aborts the scene unharmed, and the eldritch J makes her appearance known. It is revealed that the AbsoluteSolver is currently repairing former J’s body, and states that their feelings are hurt when Uzi doesn’t remember it whilst displaying a holographic version of Uzi’s deceased mother, Nori. It also depicts Workers as “cute puppets” when Uzi refers to it as a program.
Shortly after the holographic Nori depiction, the eldritch disassembles Uzi’s father, Khan, which is later revealed to be a hologram as well. Convincing Uzi to give up her railgun to a holographic version of N, the eldritch J proceeds to try to assimilate Uzi before N severs its appendages. The female Worker is rescued by Uzi’s railgun’s self destruction after the eldritch destroys it, causing the creature to vaporize. After its core makes a terrible attempt at sneaking an escape (and get stabbed by N’s tail repeatedly) it drops into something resembling a black hole and floats away.
Home[]
When entering into battle in N’s memory, Uzi, who was currently possessing a crow, happily snarks at J on how she killed the latter, in which J is confused since she is unaware of her fate in the future.
Dead End[]
When confronting Tessa, Doll, and a resurrected J, Uzi complains on how she is tired of repeatedly murdering J, in which the latter appears amused by this statement.
Fanon[]
Due to the antagonistic relationship between the two members, the Juzi ship is depicted as one of the most toxic pairings with the Murder Drones fandom. However, many Juzi fans argue that it triggers the Enemies to Lovers trope, and J appears to be slowly morphing into a heroine character like N and V. J’s authoritative nature contrasts with Uzi’s rebellion, which triggers the Opposites Attract/Red Oni, Blue Oni trope as well. The Tsundere trait appearing in Uzi’s character along with many fans' headcanoning that J appears to be one due to her anime-based design brings forth an interesting and understanding similarity.
Fans assume that the two despise each other, but Juzi shippers declared with their own evidence that the two had never shown "real" spite towards the other since the Pilot: When Uzi remarks about how she murdered J, it leans towards a teasing or boasting manner, and J treats persons whom she despises as utter garbage with physical or verbal abuse. It's still arguable that the two did hate each other but weren't entirely aggressive with their antagonism. Juzi fans additionally point out that Nuzi began as problematic and toxic given the duo attempted to murder each other twice prior becoming best friends turned couple. Violence and deprecation is jokingly seen as a love language within the fandom, given the show's dark and murderous themes including black humor. Unfortunately, the "non-hate" theory was tossed after J's betrayal and second attempt at murdering Uzi in alliance with the AbsoluteSolver.
This does not prevent fans from shipping them. A plethora of fans, more often J fans, complain that her character was wasted and abandoned in her face-heel turn. Many were expecting her to form an alliance with the Triumphant Trio to defeat Cyn, as originally stated by both her and "Tessa". Not getting this happy ending drove shippers to format AUs in which the ploy becomes the truth. It's possible for others to be attracted to the archnemesis relationship that J and Uzi have, thus keeping everything original.
The Juzi pairing can be compared to the Vuzi pairing for the similar characterization J and V share. This is what results in Juzi often being paired alongside Vuzi. An exceptionally popular sexuality headcanon in the fanbase depicts Uzi as a bisexual with an equal attraction to men and women. Believers/supporters of this idea sketch Uzi in fanarts blushing profusely in the attractive presence of V and J. This is how the VuziJ ship came to be.
