Kaember is the het ship between the Kaeya Alberich and Amber from the Genshin Impact fandom.
Canon[]
As two of the first three starter characters in the game, Kaeya and Amber are the first two people the traveler meets when they reach Monstadt. They both belong to the Knights of Favonius; Kaeya is the cavalry captain and Amber is the only remaining outrider of the Knights of Favonius. They both grew up in Mondstadt. Kaeya was adopted by Crepus and Amber was raised by her grandfather (a mercenary from Liyue), who was also the founder of the Outriders of the Knights of Favonius. However, Kaeya is actually from Khaenri'ah, as his biological father was the one who abandoned him on the steps of the Dawn Winery.
Amber does not trust Kaeya - when she sees the Traveler with him, she worries that he may have gotten them into trouble. In her voiceline "About Kaeya: Culprit", she sees some strange dandelions in a garden and suspects that Kaeya was involved in planting them. After the fight with Dvalin, Amber realizes that the traveler saw Kaeya before her and panics, fearing that he might hurt the traveler. Kaeya denies that he would ever do such a thing. When Amber finds out that Kaeya has mysteriously disappeared, she worries that he is up to no good again.
Kaeya sees Amber as a friendly but sometimes annoying co-worker. He sometimes annoys her just for the sake of it, as it is part of his personality. He also notes that Amber is "righteous" and warns the traveler not to do anything against the rules in front of her. While Amber has two voicelines about him, Kaeya has only one about her. Amber also thinks that he could have been sitting in the Cat's Tail drinking wine while the traveler was fighting Dvalin, which makes her very angry.

Fanon[]
Kaeyamber is a smaller ship in the Genshin Impact fandom, but not small enough to be a rare pair. Since they are both starter characters, not many people care about them, preferring flashier, newer characters. There are some shippers that have shipped them since the beginning of the game in 1.0. Some like their dynamic, as they are both knights and seem to playfully hate each other. Others just think they look cute together.
There are currently 77+ romance fics and 146+ gen fics for them on A03.
