KafWolf is the femslash ship between Kafka and Silver Wolf from the Honkai: Star Rail fandom.
Canon[]
Kafka, a mysterious assassin originating from Pteruges-V, and Silver Wolf, a genius hacker hailing from Punklorde, are both members of the Stellaron Hunters, a mysterious organization led by Elio, Destiny's Slave, and whose primary goal is to collect Stellarons.
Prologue[]
The two of them appear at the very beginning of the game, infiltrating the Herta Space Station together in the midst of an attack by the Antimatter legion. Silver Wolf is, originally, only seen communicating with Kafka, who at that point acts as a playable character for the player, through a hologram of her logo, until the latter gets attacked by multiple Voidrangers, at which point Silver Wolf shows up physically saves an unbothered Kafka from an attack coming from behind, teleporting the enemy away through the usage of her Aether Editing skills, a technique at which Kafka voices her amazement.

After a few exchanges, the two reveal their goal of looking for the Stellaron located on the Space Station, with Silver Wolf joining the player's party temporarily alongside Kafka.
The duo continues along, getting ambushed by enemies on the way to the Monitoring room, where they talk about Herta for some time, before going on the lookout for the Stellaron. Through Silver Wolf's hacking, they are able to find its location and teleport there. With the Stellaron in hand, Silver Wolf has Kafka choose a receptacle for it, that being the Trailblazer.
When the Trailblazer wakes up, Kafka and Silver Wolf are the first two people they see, although they are only able to remember the former. Kafka then talks to them while using her mind-control powers, before leaving, with Silver Wolf in tow.
Punklorde Mentality[]
During Silver Wolf's companion mission, Kafka only makes a real appearance at the end, at which point she's seen sitting on a railing, with Silver Wolf mourning the loss of her 78 accounts, following the events of the mission's story. Silver Wolf is angered by her situation, prompting Kafka to attempt to calm her down, telling her she's not a kid anymore, and to stop throwing a tantrum. The two exchange about Silver Wolf's plans to get her accounts back, with the hacker announcing she'll have to go to Pier Point. Kafka asks whether she'd be going alone, leading Silver Wolf to invite Kafka along with her. Kafka has to deny, however, as she is involved in Elio's next script, one in which Silver Wolf thinks she wouldn't fit herself. The hacker tells Kafka to have fun, which has Kafka hoping the same for Silver Wolf. After a brief teasing from Kafka, Silver Wolf leaves her to try and get a move on her plan.

Although Kafka doesn't make an appearance directly before this, the companion Silver Wolf should have been with during her exploration of the Simulated universe, looking for the Aether Cartridge, and who the Trailblazer was acting at during the fake reenactment, was Kafka herself.
Trailers and in-game descriptions[]
In Silver Wolf's trailer “Got a date?”, Kafka makes an appearance through messaging, bothering Silver Wolf through messages, and mocking her for the fact that she's going to lose, as Elio told her. Kafka calls Silver Wolf “Darling” during this exchange. Silver Wolf herself has Kafka's contact name set as “The Woman”.

Kafka is briefly mentioned in Silver Wolf's character story: part IV, where she, alongside three other people, them being Blade and presumably Sam and Elio, come to recruit Silver Wolf among the Stellaron Hunters, an invitation Silver Wolf immediately accepts.
A little icon representing Kafka is seen on the Light Cone “Before the Tutorial Mission Starts”. The description involves a dialogue between her and Blade, in which she calls Silver Wolf a “new recruit”.
In part II of the Curio Management Log, Silver Wolf interjects with a change to the Rating Pistol's score for her, changing it to 100. As this is a Curio mentioned by Silver Wolf during an earlier dialogue with Kafka during the prologue, and Silver Wolf asked Kafka whether she was curious about what score she'd get, it's very likely that the latter accompanied her to the Rating Pistol's location, where Silver Wolf, angered by whatever score she had received, hacked into the Curio to change her own results.

Fanon[]
KafWolf is a rarepair, currently sitting as the 4th Kafka pairing, fanfiction-wise, on Archive of Our Own (5th if Stelle and the Trailblazer are considered to be separate).
It very slowly gained traction throughout the month following the game's release, with a few fanfics and fanarts being released, more notably of the NSFW kind. Its fanfic tropes are often unrequited love, specifically Silver Wolf's for Kafka.
Popularity for the pairing becomes greatly affected through the release of the “Got a date?” trailer, as interest grew for the ship with its release, especially with the nicknames the two give each other in it, but with it also came attention from a large part of the fandom who considers Silver Wolf to be a minor, using her short size as well as the fact that she's based on a specific 18-year-old version of Bronya from Honkai Impact 3rd as arguments to attack the pairing and those who enjoy it. This led many artists to become fearful of depicting the two together, or to drawing Silver Wolf in NSFW settings, which greatly halted fanworks for KafWolf. Although Silver Wolf and her Companion quest's release did bring some nice content for the pair, the amount of fan-made content has slowly been declining since then, in favor of other pairings such as KafStel, KafHime, or KafBlade.

- Silver Wolf can be seen holding an umbrella in Kafka's splash art.
- Kafka and Silver Wolf appear together in the Final Closed Beta Trailer.
- They have so far shared 3 official artworks, those three being the Second Close Beta promotional artwork, the artwork celebrating 6 Million followers on Bilibili, and the in-game CG at the end of Silver Wolf's Companion mission.
- Like the Trailblazer and Blade, Silver Wolf also has an achievement when fighting Kafka as a boss. However, unlike those two, who need to be Dominated by Kafka to obtain their respective achievements, Silver Wolf instead needs to apply two different Weaknesses during the battle. Upon completion, the achievement “When the Hunter Becomes the Hunted” is awarded. As Kafka is seen using her mind-control powers on both the Trailblazer and Blade throughout the story, it can be inferred that she has never used it on Silver Wolf, or never needs to.
- When visiting the Astral Express, Silver Wolf mentions how Kafka is the kind of person to be found sitting on a sofa in the dark when one gets home. In another dialogue, she mentions that her talking about the Stellaron Hunters' lifestyle will get her reprimanded by Kafka.
- In Kafka's Companion Quest, the Trailblazer takes part in a game of "One truth, one lie" with her. Before it starts, Kafka reveals that Silver Wolf and her play it all the time.
- When the two of them are added to the same party by the player, they each have a voiceline about the other : Silver Wolf goes "Hey Kafka, can I go off-script this time?" while Kafka says "Let's skip the formalities, Silver Wolf. I'm always game for putting on a show."
