Kagelear is the non-binary ship between Kagetsu and Alear from the Fire Emblem fandom.

Alear and Kagetsu are both playable characters in Fire Emblem: Engage.

Kagetsu wonders why Alear seems human. So he asks them the difference between dragons and humans. So Alear tells him that dragons live longer than humans and that they're stronger. This prompts Kagetsu to fire out questions about Alear's one thousand years at Somniel. Alear seems distressed by this, so they apologize with a sad expression, saying they don't remember.
Interested by the amount of questions Kagetsu was asking about them, though, Alear asks about it. So Kagetsu replies that he's interested in them because they're friends. This surprises Alear because they haven't even spoken that much with Kagetsu. Kagetsu tells them that in his mind, they were friends ever since they spoke, but quickly worries that Alear doesn't want to be friends with him, which Alear is quick to clarify that's not the case. Kagetsu gets happy about it and says that he would like to know all about Alear so they can strengthen their bond. So Alear replies that he should get comfortable and brace themself for more questions, in that case.
B Support[]
A conversation about Alear's unique hair style, led to Alear apologizing to Kagetsu for not being able to provide answers to the so many questions he has for them. Kagetsu tells them that there's really no problem since he's happy merely talking to Alear. Kagetsu later continues talking about his homeland, so Alear asks him about it further. Kagetsu opens his heart to Alear and tells him that he was born to royalty and that growing up in a place so secluded from outside influences, only thinking of family, made him sad, because he never got the chance to step outside of that. Alear tries to give him some words of encouragement by telling him he's making an impact on the world by fighting with them for a cause he believes in, and that they're sure his family would be proud of him, to which Kagetsu replies "maybe so." Then, he tells Alear that he's happy to answer any other questions they might have for him, so Alear asks about the food on Kagetsu's homeland, continuing their bond-strengthening over getting to know each other better.
A Support[]
Alear thanks Kagetsu for the chat they had the other day and Kagetsu says that he feels their bond became "unbreakable" after it. However, he confesses he was a bit reluctant to speak too much on his homeland because his family wouldn't be proud of him, as Alear said, because he abandoned his role and responsibility, and will therefore forget about him altogether. Alear immediately comforts Kagetsu by saying that he will become a living legend, so that his name will be on everyone's lips and his parents won't have the chance of forgetting him, and promises they will help him achieve this "as his friend." Hearing these words touches Kagetsu, who says he thought meeting people was enough to make them your friend, but that now he realizes that it's not so simple. Alear tells him that friends are much more than that, and that they help each other through their darkest moments.
Kagetsu happily declares that their bond of friendship has grown incredibly strong, and much stronger over time, to which Alear agrees. And Kagetsu concludes saying that thanks to their powerful bond, word of their great deeds will be spread far and wide.

Kagetsu quickly became one of the players' main romantic choices, so the ship became popular in turn. Fans of the ship created fanart involving jokes the fandom has around their support interactions and fanworks where their relationship gets further explored.
However, their age gap made some fans uncomfortable. Alear is chronologically over a thousand years old but has the form of a 17-year-old, while Kagetsu is an adult at 26 (almost a decade older).
