KaiYuuma is the non-binary ship between KAITO and VY2 from the Vocaloid fandom.
Canon[]
KAITO and VY2 are both Vocaloids. The two are masculine vocals, both under Yamaha but are distributed by different companies; VY2 is developed and distributed by Bplats, Inc., while KAITO is developed originally by Yamaha but is distributed by Crypton Future Media, Inc.. Since they are Vocaloids, they have no canon background or personality. Depending on the song they sing together, their dynamic and relationship change.

Boisterous Dance of Cherry Blossom by SugiAyahico is a song featuring KAITO and VY2. This song shows two characters whose fate ties together but are in constant struggle. Despite deeply loving each other, their relationship has become one of misunderstandings and arguments. KAITO remembers how they used to be close, but now they’re being forced apart, and VY2 knows their meeting was a mistake but cannot escape. Their connection grows frayed the more they fight. They are in pain, but they know they can’t go back to how things were. Ultimately, the two characters accept their fate, and their relationship ends in a possibly violent and fatal manner.

KaiYuuma is a rarepair within the Vocaloid fandom, often overlooked because KAITO is a Cryptonloid and tends to have more content with his fellow Cryptonloids, or even with Gakupo—who is frequently paired with him, as GakuKai is one of his most popular slash ships. Another factor contributing to the ship's lack of popularity is that VY2 lacks an official mascot, with its official design being a sword. Despite this, the ship has gained more popularity as people often pair them together in fanart, alongside Gakupo and Kiyoteru. These works typically use VY2's semi-official design, 66 (Roro). Since Roro's gender is male and VY2 is a masculine vocal, KaiYuuma is seen as a slash ship, even though VY2 itself is sexless. On AO3, KaiYuuma has 20+ works. It is the 2nd most written ship for VY2 and the 10th most written ship for KAITO.
VY2's semi-official design, 66 (Roro), was created by Tsukasa Ryuuguu. In some of her works, VY2 (Roro) and KAITO interact. The first work to feature them together shows them staring at each other strangely while eating large amounts of their favorite foods—unagi pie for Roro and ice cream for KAITO. In her doujinshi Rave On, which is centered on Roro, KAITO and Roro interact frequently as well. Though not many images of the pages are available online, a few feature the pair together. One panel shows KAITO force-feeding Roro ice cream, while another shows them singing together. Tsukasa also illustrated a scene of KAITO, Roro, and Kiyoteru eating at an oden shop, with KAITO staring at Roro as he stuffs his face with food. This artwork is hard to find now since the original website has been taken down but reuploads exist online, as well as a tweet from Tsukasa linking to the image.
