KakaNaru is the slash ship between Kakashi Hatake and Naruto Uzumaki from the Naruto fandom.
Canon
Naruto is placed on Kakashi's team at the beginning of the series. He and his teammates are given a test and managed to past after struggling to do so. Kakashi is impressed with the abilities that Naruto demonstrates and the rate that he grows as a ninja. Between the second and third rounds of the Chunin Exams, Kakashi decides to train Sasuke which makes Naruto jealous. Sasuke later flees the village and Kakashi finds Naruto after having attempted to bring him back.
Naruto leaves the village to train for over two years. Upon his return, he gives Kakashi an advanced copy of Jiraiya's next Icha Icha book which he really enjoys. Naruto and Sakura take another bell test and manage to grab the bells from Kakashi this time. They later find out that Gaara has been kidnapped and go on a mission to rescue him. Naruto screams when finding Gaara dead and Kakashi has to calm him down, especially when he turns into his two-tails form.
Kakashi is hospitalized and unable to join Naruto on his next mission but joins him later against Hidan and Kakuzu. Both manage to defeat Kakuzu but Naruto is badly injured by his new technique so Kakashi later helps feed him noodles after they return to the village. Pain later attacks Konoha and Naruto managed to defeat him. Kakashi had recently been killed but Naruto convinced Nagato to revive him. After the battle, Kakashi carries Naruto on his back and compliments him.
Naruto and Kakashi later run into each other at the Five Kage Summit where they both fight against Sasuke. They once again fail to bring him back. Kakashi and Naruto later fight side-by-side during the Fourth Shinobi World War where they discover that Tobi is Obito. They later convince him to turn against Madara. Kakashi is happy to see Team 7 working together again. Years later, Kakashi becomes Hokage but eventually passes the position down to Naruto.
Fanon
KakaNaru is a fairly popular Naruto ship and is one of the most popular slash ships involving both Naruto and Kakashi. Some find it to be odd to them having an age difference and being a mentor and student. However, many fans like their mentor-student relationship and ship them together because of this. One of the movies teases this pairing at the end which amuses many fans. KakaNaru usually rivals SasuNaru and KakaIru as well as other ships involving Naruto or Kakashi.

- One of the Naruto Shippuden movies teases KakaNaru at the end with everybody thinking that there is a romance between the two. Naruto runs away while Kakashi tries to calm him down and states that it is just a misunderstanding.
