Kasane Teto is a character from the Utau fandom.

Teto started as a troll character created by "Vippers" (trolls from Vip@2ch) who planned to annunce a fake new Vocaloid as an April Fool's joke.^[3] Later, a voicebank for her on the software UTAU was created. Teto became so popular that she appeared in some of the Project DIVA games, made a cameo in the Hatsune Mix manga, and even got official merchandizing. Because of that, many people keep mistaking her for a Vocaloid. On April 2023, a Synthesizer V voicebank developed by AH-Software was released.
