Kaslana Family is the family ship between Kevin Kaslana, Dr. MEI, Kallen Kaslana, Siegfried Kaslana, Cecilia Schariac, Theresa Apocalypse, Kiana Kaslana, Bianka Ataegina, and Sirin from the Honkai fandom.
Canon[]
The Kaslana lineage was started by Previous Era pioneers Dr. MEI and Kevin. Because Kevin couldn't naturally have children, MEI created a test-tube child using their combined genes. Kevin named the child Adam, a signifier of the new era of humanity that was to come. As descendants of Kevin, each member has MANTIS genes, giving them the potential to morph into ichor forms of the Honkai beast Parvati. Despite being their founder, Kevin distanced himself from his offspring due to the overwhelming guilt he carries.[1] When a simulation of him was asked about what he'd tell his descendants, Kevin wants them to know that they don't have to be burdened by his sins.[2]
The strength and innate Honkai resistance of Kaslana members lead to them becoming one of the three founders of the anti-Honkai organization Schicksal, along with House Schariac and House Apocalypse. The Kaslanas have a distinct fighting style called Kaslana Gun Kata. House Kaslana heads have also historically been wielders of the Judgement of Shamash, a Divine Key made from the 7th Herrscher. Each member is meant to uphold the Kaslana Oath, to purge the Honkai and defend the innocent. In the 1400s, Kallen Kaslana was the most powerful valkyrie of Schicksal. After witnessing the corruption wrought in the organization, Kallen stole the Black Box and fled, abandoning her family to uphold the values of the Kaslana Oath. Centuries later, Otto Apocalypse created Theresa Apocalypse as a clone of Kallen, and her kind nature reminded him of his late friend.
In modern day, Siegfried Kaslana is an outlier in the family. He was raised with classic Kaslana mentality to defend the world, yet lived a sheltered life in a large mansion. The ninjas in the Arahato cartoons inspired Siegfried to become an adventurer and save people. So when he was fifteen, Siegfried ran away from home and got to experience the world for himself. He is the second Kaslana to ever do such the thing, with the first one presumably being Kallen.[3]
Siegfried eventually meets and falls his love with Cecilia Schariac. Otto separates the couple for two years, but eventually allows them to be together, as the combined bloodlines of Kaslana and Schariac could bring a strong Herrscher killer. In 1998, Cecilia gave birth to a daughter. She and Siegfried chose Theresa to be her godmother and name their daughter. Theresa named her Kiana Kaslana after the moon goddess Diana.[4] Although many anticipated her to be powerful, the child was had no exceptional traits other than high Honkai resistance, as the traits of the Kaslana and Schariac bloodlines canceled each other out. Cecilia was glad that Kiana could live a normal life with no expectations forced on her.
In the year 2000 Siegfried and Cecilia played pivotal roles in the Second Honkai War against Sirin. While trapped in a dream world Sirin induced, Cecilia saw Sirin's grief and longing for motherly love, so Cecilia treated Sirin as her daughter. At the end of the war, Cecilia sacrificed herself to protect Siegfried and spent her last moments embracing Sirin. In the aftermath, Otto created a clone of Kiana Kaslana as a host for the Herrscher of the Void.

Fanon[]
The Kaslana Family is one of the most popular family ships of Honkai. Kaslana Family content mostly focuses on Kiana and her immediate family, such as with her parents or sisters. However, other notable members have been incorporated. Usually, Kevin is portrayed as Kiana’s grandpa or uncle, while Kallen is occasionally portrayed as Kiana’s aunt.
There are also many jokes about consistent traits in the family, most notably their terrible cooking and being a bit idiotic.

- In miHoYo's first game FlyMe2theMoon, the Kaslana Family was a prestigious family of witches until they were accused of being responsible for the disappearance of the Eclipse. Kiana embarks on a journey to the moon in order to find her father and restore honor to her family name.
