- “My liege… My love. I adore you with all my being. I promise to treasure you forever… and to keep you in my heart… always.”
- — Kaze
Kazerrin is the non-binary ship between Corrin and Kaze from the Fire Emblem fandom.
Canon[]
Corrin is the main character of Fire Emblem Fates. Their gender and appearance is chosen by the player at the beginning of the game. Kaze is a ninja who serves the Hoshidan royal family, and is one of the few characters that are playable in all three routes of the game. At the beginning, he and Rinkah are captured by Nohrians and Corrin is ordered to execute them; however thanks to Leo and Xander, they barely escape with their lives. Corrin runs into the two again, where they learn of their true origins as a native of Hoshido.
Birthright[]
In Birthright, Corrin decides to stay with their family from Hoshido, and Kaze will be by their side. If Corrin and Kaze marry, Corrin is hailed as a hero, working alongside him to spread peace worldwide.
Conquest[]
In Conquest, Corrin decides to stay with their family from Nohr, and finds themselves in opposition with Kaze. The two reunite in the Tower of the Rainbow Sage to prevent Nohr from obtaining the sage's wisdom. It is here that Kaze overhears that Corrin's true intentions, and joins their army to aid in their efforts to end the war between the two kingdoms. If Corrin and Kaze marry, Corrin is hailed as a hero, working alongside him to spread peace worldwide.
Revelation[]
In Revelation, Corrin refuses to choose between their two families and instead embarks on a quest to unite both their families to reconquer the hidden kingdom of Valla. At Fort Jinya, Kaze and Sakura prevent Kaze's older twin brother Saizo from burning himself and Corrin alive. Kaze then places his trust in Corrin for saving his life earlier and joins them. If Corrin and Kaze marry, the two will spend the rest of their lives together as Queen and King of Valla. Though Kaze is never comfortable as a public figure, he supports his wife's reign with his kind heart.
Supports[]
C Support[]
In their C support, Corrin notices Kaze with a bunch of radishes that a young lady gave him as thanks for helping her. While Corrin is thrilled and proposes a radish feast, Kaze is embarrassed that the attention he gets from random female strangers. Corrin suggests that they think this is because they are attracted to Kaze due to his "waaay too dreamy" face, kindness and ninja mystique. Kaze then explains that he feels such "silly distractions" are getting in the way of him performing his duties. Corrin teases Kaze for being overly serious and saying that most men would dream for the kind of attention he gets from them. Kaze doubts himself, believing that they are mistaken, then leaves. Corrin, in awe at Kaze's ninjutsu, wonders why Kaze would say such things about himself.
B Support[]
In their B support, Corrin asks to accompany Kaze on a trip to town so they can help his self-image. Kaze gets embarrassed and goes on without them, but eventually Corrin catches up to him. Kaze scolds Corrin for shouting outside of camp, and Corrin explains that by him coming back for them, Kaze is in fact, a good guy. Kaze tells Corrin to leave him alone before apologizing for speaking to them in such a manner. Corrin then apologizes to Kaze for pestering him and leaves, much to Kaze's dismay.
A Support[]
In their A support, Kaze again apologizes to Corrin for hurting their feelings earlier, only for Corrin to take the blame for themselves since they were the one bothering him. Kaze calls Corrin kind and reveals that he blames himself for Corrin getting kidnapped as a baby. He tells Corrin that as a child on that day, he saw the Nohrian forces in the city of Cheve who would murder Corrin's adopted father and King of Hoshido Sumeragi, but as he was so young, he was naive and felt powerless to stop them. Despite Corrin telling him that it wasn't his fault, Kaze states that as someone of his lineage and position, he should have known better, and as a result, he believes that he doesn't deserve to have lived past that moment for all the suffering he's caused Corrin and the Hoshidan royal family; that he doesn't even deserve to speak with Corrin and must continually seek an unreachable penance. Corrin expresses grief for all the trouble those events have caused Kaze while telling him that he should be allowed to forgive himself and move forward, adding that, if anything, they consider Kaze the person who allowed them to be reunited with the Hoshidan royal family once more, and that even if they blamed him, he has already repaid his debt to them. Corrin then makes Kaze promise that he will never allow himself to feel guilty over the events that fateful day again. Though he initially hesitates, Kaze ultimately agrees. He then laughs and smiles on how Corrin's forgiveness towards him reminds him of their late mother. He wonders if she knew that her child would one day do the same and asks Corrin to allow him to be their retainer, to which Corrin accepts. Kaze vows to Corrin that he will protect them with his life.
S Support[]
In their S support, Kaze encounters Corrin (Female Only) as she's strolling around and asks to come with her. She teases Kaze that spending a few seconds alone won't get her kidnaped. Kaze then accuses her of getting a sick kick out of reminding others of their past failures, to which Corrin denies. Instead, she tells him that she is merely blessed to see a lighter side of Kaze. In response, he laments that she does make him want to say things he believes should be kept to himself, such as despite being her servant and bodyguard, that he loves her. He reveals that his love for her is partially why he made his vows, and proposes to her. This declaration moves Corrin to tears, and she reveals that she feels the same way.
Afterwards, they have two children: a son named Kana and a daughter named Midori.
Fanon[]
While it is rare in fanfiction, Kazerrin has a decent number of wholesome fan art dedicated to them. While most of pieces show Kaze with female Corrin, there are some pieces with him and Male Corrin. Kaze's confession of love to Female Corrin is also said to be one of the most genuinely romantic in the whole game.
