Keatoya is the femslash ship between Barbara Kean and Renee Montoya from the Gotham fandom.

Canon

Pilot

Barbara answers the door and is surprised to see Renee. Renee comes inside and says sorry for dropping by unexpectedly. She asks how Barbara has been and they both say that they've been good. Renee sees that Barbara is running an art gallery now and Barbara says she's also engaged. Renee says she's specifically her about her fiance, and tells her that the GCPD framed Mario Pepper for the Wayne's murder. Barbara asks if Renee is here to tell her that Jim was in on the cover up and Renee says that she is. Barbara asks for her proof, but Renee says she can't tell her what it is. She insists that Jim is a bad guy, and that Barbara deserves better, but Barbara says that Jim is the most honest guy that she's ever met. She says that he's not capable of it, and Renee asks if she really knows what he's capable of. Barbara says that she knows Jim and Renee asks if he knows her the same way. Barbara tells her to stop, and Renee asks if he knows her they way that Renee knew her.

Harvey Dent

Barbara had decided that she needed to get away from Gotham. During this time she found Renee and the two started sleeping with each other again. Barbara specifically ignoring calls from Jim to continue doing so.

Keatoya is a smaller pairing in the Gotham fandom. While it initially had more support, it started to lose momentum as Renee practically disappeared from the series. Some fans were disappointed by the pairing, as they found that it included many stereotypes regarding queer women. Wishing that they had developed the pair more beyond what was seen onscreen. On AO3, Keatoya is the second most written ship for Renee and the third most written for Barbara. There are currently 60+ written works.
