Kenhiko is the friendship between Akihiko Sanada and Ken Amada from the Persona fandom.
Canon[]
Akihiko met Ken on July 18th after 1st Semester Final Exams at Gekkouken High. Ken dramatically admires him and has won many box-matching matches over the last few years. Ken only refers to Akihiko by his last name rather than his first name (In the original English version, Ken sometimes calls Akihiko by his first name during exploration in Tartarus, not in the main story).
A few days after Shinjiro’s death, Akihiko confronts Ken in the back alley of Tatsumi Port Island.
In the manga adaption, Akihiko was against Ken joining SEES due to his young age in August.
Other Social Links[]
Akihiko and Ken are both Kotone’s new Social Links in her route. They are also options for a romantic or platonic relationship with her. If romance, they are hidden dialogues scattered in their Social Links. If Akihiko and Ken are paired in Tartarus after their Social Link is maxed in their romance routes, they will grow jealous of each other because they are very attached to Kotone. They seem not to be holding back against each other. They will be unaware that Kotone is dating both of them. Junpei will comment on how the atmosphere got heavy for some reason if he is partying with her, Akihiko, and Ken.
Dear Girls Comic Anthology[]
Which is non-canon, in the Dear Girls Anthology commissioned by Ichijinsha. In one chapter, “Dear Chidorita,” Kotone secretly dates Akihiko and Ken. They often get angry with each other over Kotone’s love (Kotone dates both of them, but some aren’t aware). When Kotone arrives, Akihiko and Ken stop fighting and focus their attention on her. When Kotone is not focused on them, Akihiko and Ken go back, glaring at each other.
Film[]
Ken doesn’t interact with Akihiko that much due to Ken’s friendship with Shinjiro as the main focus in the second movie.
During the November full moon operation, Akihiko and Ken fought Takaya and Jin alone at the Moonlight Bridge. The following day, Akihiko secretly watches over Ken, who offers flowers at the same place where Shinjiro lost his life last month.
The Weird Masquerade[]
Like in the movie version, Akihiko and Ken rarely interacted with each other except in two scenes. On October 4th, Akihiko and Ken were present in Shinjiro’s final moments (comatose in the female route) after he sacrificed himself to protect Ken. During the moon operation in November, he and Ken fought against Takaya and Jin alongside Aigis and Sakuya/Kotone.
In Act 5, Ken stays behind with Akihiko the fight against Jin during the final battle against Nyx.
Female Route[]
In Act 4, Akihiko and Ken mention they often visit Shinjiro at the hospital. In Act 5, Akihiko and Ken stay behind to reunite briefly with Shinjiro, who wakes up from his coma.
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax[]
Three years later, Akihiko and Ken joined Shadow Operative as part-time members. However, they did not interact once since Ken left the organization with Koromaru to continue his school life after P3 Story Mode ended.
Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight[]
Ken is shown to look up to Akihiko. He asks for Akihiko's help when he discovers that his waiting room, a replica of his Iwatodai dorm room, has run out of milk. He worries that taking a day off from drinking milk, even if they're in a dream, will ruin his routine. Akihiko says that he understands Ken's persistence. He then says that when he was Ken's age, he was even shorter. This shocks Ken, but re-invigorates his spirit. Akihiko then invites Ken to his room to drink some of the supplements that he has.

- In December, during the weekend, Akihiko and Ken discuss their decision on whether to kill or spare Ryoji at the end of the year.
The Answer[]
- Akihiko sided with Ken since going back to the past was wrong to prevent Makoto’s sacrifice. Akihiko and Ken represent choosing the present.
- Akihiko and Ken are the first opponents Aigis and Metis fought.
Fanon[]
Kenhiko is a rare fanship in the Persona 3 fanbase. They are often paired as mentors and students. They are both greatly saddened by Shinjiro's death. However, they often fight each other over Kotone's love in the female route.
