Kentsain is the slash ship between and Kent and Sain from the Fire Emblem fandom.
Canon[]
Lyn's Story[]
Kent and Sain are two knights of Caelin (a part of Lycia). Despite their opposite personalities they are close friends. The lord of Caelin Hausen task them to locate his granddaughter Lyn that he never meet and to escorte her to Caelin. They go to the land of Sacae where Lyn lived and they meet her in Bulgar (the largest city of Sacae) alongside Mark. Since Sain started to woo her Lyn ignore him and go outside the city. Here she is attacked by men sent by Lundgren (Haussen's brother who want to suppress Lyn to became the ruler of Caelin). Lyn joins forces with Kent and Sain to defeat their enemies. After the battle the knights explain to Lyn why they search her. Together they travel to Caelin. Sain has noticed that Kent has a thing for Lyn and decide to not try to seduce her. On the same time Lundgren poisonned his brother and took the controle of Caelin while the marquess is sick. He brand Lyn as an impostor. When Lyn's group arrives near Caelin they are forced to fight Eagler (a knight of Caelin and Kent and Sain's mentor). Kent and Sain are devasted by the death of their teatcher. Finally they fight Lundgren. If Sain fight Lundgren the latter propose him to switch side, Sain say that it's a gracious offer but that he will always follow his friend Kent and that he will always choose Lyndis over Lundgren. After the death of Lundgren, Lyn reunite with her grandfather. Kent is promoted to knight-commander, Sain is promoted to sub-commander of the knights.
Eliwood/Hector's Story[]
One year after, the castle of Caelin is attacked by the forces of Laus (a other part of Lycia). Kent ans Sain escape the castle alongside Wil, Lyn and Florina. They unite with the group led by Eliwood and Hector. After the battle Eliwood and Hector explain that Laus attack them because they chased them and that the marquess of Laus Darin is linked to a mysterious organisation called the Black Fang. Then they took back the Caelin's castle. Lyn decide to help Eliwood in his quest to find his father, her knights (including Sain and Kent) follow her. During the adventure Kent and Sain can have support conversations.
The epilogue for Kent and Sain is determined by with who they got a paired ending. In his solo ending Kent became the steward of Caelin after that Lyn ask Hector to place it under Ostia rule. In his solo ending Sain became an independant knight. If Kent get a paired ending with Lyn he go with her in Sacae after her grandfather's death. If Sain get a paired ending with Rebecca he move to Pherae to stay with her. If Kent get a paired ending with Fiora or Farina he will move to Illia, Kent can also go to Illia if he get a paired ending with Fiora.
Fanon[]
For many players Kent and Sain were the introduction to the archetype of the red and green cavaliers (since Blazing Blade was the first Fire Emblem that came to the west). In A03 Kentsain is the fourth most popular slash ship in the Blazing Blade fandom (behind Hector/Eliwood, Lucius/Raven, Heath/Legault). This relative popularity can be explained by the popularity of Kent and Sain as characters and by the fact that they both have many interactions in the main story (mainly Lyn mode). The ship's main rivals are the canon romantic options for Kent and Sain (Kent/Lyn, Kent/Fiora, Kent/Farina, Sain/Rebecca, Sainfiora).
