Kim Dokja's Company is the friendship between Kim Dokja, Yoo Joonghyuk, Han Sooyoung, Yoo Sangah, Lee Gilyoung, Shin Yoosung, Jung Heewon, Lee Hyunsung, Lee Jihye, Lee Seolhwa, Gong Pildu, Han Myungoh and Jang Hayoung from the Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint fandom.
Canon[]

Kim Dokja's Company (also known as KimCom), is a nebula established by Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk which is widely recognized and known not only for its members, but for also their aim of destroying the Star Stream and ending all of the scenarios, being also the reason of why most of the constellations want to kill all of the members from the company, especially Kim Dokja. May have on mind that much even before the corporation was officially found, Kim Dokja had reunited people throughout his journey on the scenarios, mainly people whom he had saved and those who had potential.
Although previously Kim Dokja gathered people who could be useful for him and for going through the scenarios, he started to warm up to his respective members to the point he would risk/sacrifice his own life if needed for clearing scenarios which included anybody's death. He also promised them a happy life after clearing all of the scenarios and destroying Star Stream respectively. He had, though, hard moments in which respect him and his members, as they were against the idea of him always dying so they wouldn't do so, even going to the point that they jail Kim Dokja and drug him so he wouldn't try anything stupid. The KimCom members also used to make up funerals for whenever Kim Dokja had died, and although they didn't know if he would wake up sometimes, they still had hope that he would manage to go back with them.
The members from the nebula, when first met, used to be different people from what are they now due to the scenarios. After joining Kim Dokja, one by one started to strengthen themselves not only for them only, but for also the sake of reaching the ending they wanted after clearing the scenarios. This also caused that few members from the company (probably everyone) change completely, like it's in Sangah or Hyunsung's case. This, though, didn't seem to affect them, since if they got even more stronger, they could protect what they loved. Also, Kim Dokja's back-hand knowledge about the scenarios helped even further so his companions wouldn't die and could clear the scenarios more easily.
Though, Kim Dokja was afraid of what they would think of him if he ever told them about the truth behind the world they were living on, although he ended up doing so, disappointing all of the company's members due to them knowing about that everything went through was part from a novel that Kim Dokja had read before during his 13 years, and that some of them were actualy characters from the story. But, eventually everyone reunited as they spoke the things down with Kim Dokja.
Due to Dokja's will to sacrifice himself for his companions so they could cope with the scenarios, he awakens the stigma "Sacrificial Will" that allowed him to supply power to his comrades, which is directly proportional to his desire of self-sacrificing, too. It first was awakened during the 73rd Demon King scenario, around Dark Castle arc, when having his party kill and banish him outside the scenarios.[1]
Around three years after Kim Dokja's banishment, he reunites again with his party awaiting for a happy/emotional moment between him and the others, however instead gets knocked out by Jung Heewon as he listens how everyone were planning on locking him up and so he wouldn't do the same thing as 3 years previously.
Once, when Kim Dokja encounters Yoo Sangah inside the Fourth Wall's library, she starts rambling about what could happened if there were no scenarios, if they hadn't existed. The question itself made Kim Dokja wonder about whether he could be alive or not if they didn't exist, after all, without a reader, the story would be forgotten. Kim Dokja explains to Sangah that in that world, he wouldn't become friends with her, as his workplace would've changed, and they wouldn't have a reason to get in contact with each other. Sangah calmly answers him back that she would keep remembering him even after he left his company, as he was a strange person. She also says that they'd have been good friends, and starts telling Dokja about the things they would do together, although Kim Dokja considered it as "things that could never become a reality". Sangah accompanies the activities that they would have done together with the rest of members from the company.
- “⸢(Along with Hui-Won-ssi, Hyeon-Seong-ssi, and Ji-Hye, too.... It'd be wonderful if other kids also lived nearby..... Even Su-Yeong-ssi, too. [...] Ah, Joong-Hyeok-ssi, as well. Although his personality is terrible, he's a great cook, so I think it'll be nice to become his friend. [...] Hui-Won-ssi and Hyeon-Seong-ssi would be…. Fufufu, in any case. And so we..... We'd all be growing older, little by little. In a world without scenarios, no Constellations, and no Dokkaebis. Where we'd meet up to share our stories, and while sharing nice foods....)⸥”

Then, Sangah tells Kim Dokja about how it would've been nice if such world had existed somewhere, ultimately asking for an agreement. Dokja answers that there might be one world just like the one she described somewhere. Sangah, before leaving, tells him that she enjoyed talking with him, which left him with the thought of how he had realized why she was talking about those things. Even when he tried to stop her, she bids him farewell by saying: ⸢(Let's meet again in the next life.)⸥
One of the memorable moments from the company was when eventually, all of the companions take a rest from the scenarios after knocking Kim Dokja down and ultimately leaving him locked up. However, the latter is against it, as the scenarios could happen soon and were around the corner, although he wasn't listened and instead, a new sub-scenario appears, being called 'Workers' Off-day', which consisted on Kim Dokja having to listen the complaints of his companions and appeasing them, as they were greatly dissatisfied with him. The reward of clearing it was the truth from the company's employees.[2] During his struggling with convincing his employees, eventually when he encounters with Yoosung and Gilyeong, they ask him about what would he like to do after the scenarios were over. After putting thought about it, Kim Dokja uttered out without realization that he wanted to buy a big house and live together with everyone.

Every of the members stared at him, with Heewon ultimately breaking the silence by proposing Dokja that he would be paying for the house. And so, the group ended up chatting about the potential house he'd buy throughout the supper, like the stuff about how the interior should look like, or how many rooms it needed to have. After the time limit was coming to an end, Kim Dokja considered it being his Final Scenario, as the punishment for not doing the scenario was Death. Instead of a "death" actually happening, a new fable related to the nebula had been generated. Kim Dokja is confused at first, but then he recalls the replies from his companions whenever he tried to speak to them, which were mostly "I don’t have any particular complaints". Han Sooyoung assures him that no one would blame him, and Jung Heewon adds that if he wanted her to find something to talk to him about, she could think on one that wasn't a complaint. Then, after a moment, the next scenario would start, and everyone inmediately headed back to Seoul after they spectated how the American continent was disappearing due to a gigantic island rising up from the Earth.
After clearing all of the scenarios and managing to destroy Star Stream plus leaving the final wall to move on with their life, Kim Dokja created a free-willed 'Avatar' of himself using 49% of his memories to live out the happy ending with the rest of the companions while he stayed inside the subway to become the new Oldest Dream, since the worldlines he created would stop existing without a dreamer, fulfilling his double ■■ of 'Epilogue' and 'Eternity'. The company eventually notice how Kim Dokja wasn't the same after the scenarios, noting things about how he doesn't talk about Ways of Survival as before and even he could eat his tomatoes even if these were Kim Dokja's disliked food. Everyone decide on saving Kim Dokja, but by the time they come to do so, he's in his young form of the Most Ancient Dream they had met before in the subway, ultimately learning that there was a cycle that created the Most Ancient Dream by KimCom. They take him, but eventually learn that there are millions of him living in another worldlines that'll act together as Oldest Dream subconsciously.
KimCom tried to save him by going back to the Final Wall after regressing into a new turn together (group regression), but only came out with a fragment of Dokja's soul, as the millions of other pieces reincarnated to other worldlines as different people, not Kim Dokja. KimCom then wrote the novel "Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint" and sent it to other worldlines so that the reincarnated Kim Dokjas could see and love the story so then they use the power of Oldest Dream to create the ending they want with an intact Dokja coming back to them. The ending shows them as the system's power becoming obsolete in their world that had made everyone lose their powers, Dokja's stories had came back to his body in their world, and KimCom are mentioned rush to meet him once again at Lee Seolhwa's hospital, concluding the story with an open ending with the next catchphrase:

Fanon[]
KimCom it's the most popular friendship and the main one from the fandom. Knowing that the latter is known for always breaking the 4th wall, the ending itself reveals how the readers from the novel are actually a part of Dokja's fragments, and the much we read the story, the more Dokja would be back, although it's an open ending left to the readers' interpretations; if they wanted a happy ending, they could imagine one, and if not, it's on the reader's choice. While there are fans who are disappointed due of not knowing the real status of Kim Dokja and if he could reunite with his companions, there are others who were fine, and considered it as one of the best endings it could ever have.
In several artworks, it's depicted a post-epilogue in which Kim Dokja is alive and every member is taking care of him while he's still on bed in the hospital. In others, it depict the life the companions wanted to live along with Dokja, with a big house and so being a family altogether. KimCom is also considered as a familyship in some cases, and fans tend to discuss the type of family the members of the company would be to Kim Dokja. The next list is about the most accepted interpretations of Kim Dokja's found family:
- Kim Dokja as either a [single] uncle, brother, and father.
- Yoo Joonghyuk is regularly put as Kim Dokja's life-death companion (aka. his partner). Although in rare cases he's considered as Kim Dokja's family figure (like an older brother).[4]
- Yoo Sangah as Kim Dokja's either platonic soulmate, sister, or his friend.
- Han Sooyoung as either Kim Dokja's [childhood] best friend or a sister figure.
- Jung Heewon as Kim Dokja's big sister.
- Lee Hyunsung as Kim Dokja's brother.
- Shin Yoosung, Lee Gilyoung, Biyoo and in other cases, Lee Jihye, as Kim Dokja's kids. Yoo Mia rarely tends to be involved too inside Kim Dokja's parentship circle but Dokja is usually co-parenting her.
- Persephone and Hades as Kim Dokja's parents, although they aren't officially inside the company, they are always portrayed as Kim Dokja's parents (because they are in canon, only though adoptive ones).
- Lee Seolhwa as a friend or sister, although mostly in fanon Kim Dokja has a neutral relationship with her and often mistakes her as Yoo Joonghyuk's [actual] lover (canon compliant), due to their [past] relationship referenced right at YJH's introduction and his closeness with her during their time together.
- Han Myungoh can be either a redempted boss or back to his evil nature towards Kim Dokja. Usually he's on good terms with Kim Dokja after having his daughter Han Dareum, as he began to realize how good parenting was.
- Uriel (not an official member either) is Kim Dokja's (best) friend whose attitude isn't different from the novel: she's always creating content and explicitly showing it to him about his relationship with Yoo Joonghyuk as a fan of Joongdok.
Other relationship that Kim Dokja has with other party members such as Jang Hayoung, Gong Pildu (rarely), and Han Myungoh doesn't tend to be mentioned in fanon, as said characters don't have much relevance in the story which only focuses in Kim Dokja's first allies based on the canon content. Sometimes Han Myungoh is put as Kim Dokja's boss in a different AU where Ways of Survival doesn't exist, but it's not really common. Moreover, Lee Seolhwa to Kim Dokja is the most important someone to Yoo Joonghyuk, which makes him distance from both (mostly from Yoo Joonghyuk) as he thinks they might have a better [romantic] life without him involved, however this is only part of the Unreliable Narrator that makes its trick on putting Kim Dokja on character based on his canon opinion of both together while being oblivious about Yoo Joonghyuk's feelings for him (mistaken as "hatred" on Kim Dokja's side).
In general, the fandom wishes for the company and Kim Dokja having a good ending altogether, as they deserved it after all they went through. There are some who joke about the members getting therapy due to the times Kim Dokja died and left them with traumas, though it might be possibly the case in canon, and although Kim Dokja does come back, he always get punished by the members with either forcing him eating tomatoes (his disliked food), or applying the canon method of drugging him and locking him up somewhere to prevent him dying another time.
Sometimes, it is considered as a polyship too, though in rare cases in which everyone flirts with Kim Dokja and eventually date him individually, although it's more preferred as a family or friendship due to the inmense care and platonic feelings everyone has for Kim Dokja. KimCom is also full of memes about the times in which Kim Dokja was knocked off by the members for then locking him up as mentioned before, as they want Kim Dokja stop sacrificing for them, though he doesn't listen in most of the cases. Kim Dokja's denseness doesn't help if talking about how he doesn't notice the love and care KimCom gives to him, as he tends to interpret that they would eventually go and he would be left alone. In fan fictions, this is interpreted as "Unreliable Narrator", in which Kim Dokja actually misunderstands KimCom's actions to him and their feelings for him. For summarizing everyone's names in the company, fan fictions tend to use the "Kim Dokja's Company" tag to mentioned every each one of the members. KimCom also tends to be supportive to Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk's relationship. KimCom's members also tend to live their own lives with oftently meeting together to chat along. KimCom can be also called "Kim Dokja's Found Family", as everyone are very charitable towards Kim Dokja, being a real family Dokja never had during his 28 (possibly more) years of existence.
In most fan arts, only the main characters are always drawn from the party, being excluded Lee Seolhwa, Gong Pildu, Han Myungoh, and Jang Hayoung. This may be due to the first 6 members (not counting YooHanKim) having more relevance in the story rather than the past mentioned. Although, there are still few fan arts out from other medias that draw the whole company (or just adding Lee Seolhwa in), but these cases tend to be rare, as there are other few ones that include Kim Namwoon or Uriel, who are not canon members from the party.
On AO3, the Kim Dokja's Company tag has 1685+ works if counted as a character, while the tag "Kim Dokja & Kim Dokja's Company" has 670+ works, and the romantic side, 10. Everyone & Kim Dokja, and Everyone/Kim Dokja tags also tend to count, with having 265+ and 14+ works respectively.
