Alien Conquerors Arc[]

Chapters 30-31[]

Although King and Saitama aren't technically introduced to each other during these chapters, they do attend an S-Class meeting about the "end of the world" prophecy before being attacked by Boros and his Dark Matter Thieves.

King Arc[]

Chapter 38[]

Saitama and Genos saw King as he came out of the store where he bought a video game. Genos points him out, though Saitama doesn't seem to know who he is. Genos then tells him that they met him during the S-Class meeting and that King is called "the strongest man". He then wonders what King is doing there. Suddenly a monster attacks and people start screaming. Genos and Saitama hear this and at first Genos thinks that Saitama would handle the monster without any problems, but then decides to leave it to King as it would be a good opportunity to see him in action. Then they wait and see how it goes.

Meanwhile, a "monster" - named G4, a huge Machine God battle robot - walks up to King, who silently turns to face him. G4 introduces himself to King and tells him that he was created by "the Organization". He says he came to eliminate him. People around them notice King and then start chanting his name in support. King tries to intimidate the robot by telling who he is – S-Class rank 7, the strongest man on earth – but the robot simply takes out his giant sword and points it at King, shouting that he's come to kill him. G4 says that he has come to test his performance for the battle and that he can't kill King by taking him by surprise because then he can't gather information. The robot then demands that King fight him with everything he got.

King is confused by all the information he's been given: that the robot is some kind of artificial intelligence, and he wonders what the "Organization" he was talking about earlier was. King has no idea what's going on. Anyway, King "accepts" his challenge, but then tells him he needs to go to the restroom first, and it wouldn't be good for the robot's data either if he can't go out while holding it inside. G4 accepts this, but adds a condition: he waits for him for 10 minutes and if King doesn't return before then, the robot starts killing ten people every minute. If King tries to escape, the city will become history.

Genos and Saitama watch nearby. Saitama notes that the monster looks strong, though Genos notices that it has high energy readings, meaning it's an amazingly powerful robot and may even surpass him. The robot can even be a disaster-level Demon. He then wonders how King will fight it.

Meanwhile, King has a panic attack in a nearby public restroom. It is revealed that he is not strong at all and is just an unemployed 29-year-old otaku who is ten times more cowardly than anyone else. He laughs at the idea of the so-called "King Engine", which people call his loud heartbeat, thinking he means business, when in fact he's just so scared that even other people can hear his heart beating. Apparently, the truth is that Demon and Dragon level monsters appear in front of him from time to time, and when he closes his eyes and opens them again, someone has already killed them. Then he thinks about how it's already happened five times and that's it. Still, the Hero Association appeared and gave him the S-Class title without his consent and he was hailed as the strongest rookie hero. Soon he hears a rumbling outside and thinks that the massacre of people has started. He feels horrible and eventually runs away. Meanwhile, Genos engages with G4, breaking his sword and attacking him. Saitama looks at it. He asks if the young cyborg needs a hand in battle, but Genos denies it. Finally, Saitama tells him not to lose and leaves.

King is finally at his apartment and decides to just forget about everything and play his new dating sim video game. As he thinks about the name he is going to give his character, Saitama appears behind him and suggests that he use his hero name (King). First King immediately replies that it wouldn't be a good idea because he would really kill himself if someone saw the game character calling him "King onii-chan", and suddenly realizes that someone is in his apartment.

He is confused as to who Saitama is and what he is doing in his apartment. Saitama just says that the window was open, but King points out that it's the 22nd floor. Sweating, King tells Saitama that he shouldn't just walk into other people's homes like that, then asks him if he knows he's an S-Class hero. Saitama confirms that he knows he is King, though King suddenly realizes that he saw this B-Class hero at the S-Class meeting about the prophecy.

Saitama suddenly changes the subject by pointing out how he didn't think King liked video games like this, to which King suddenly yells at Saitama to stop. Saitama then notices that the game he's holding appears to be an action game, which King confirms in a confused panic. He slams the cover of his new game on the floor and lies about how he actually really likes action games like that and how he apparently thought he bought another action game but it was actually a love dating game. Saitama then simply points out that the title of the game is on the cover, to which King tries to say how he thought it read something else and that he's now throwing it away. He starts to turn off his game console, but Saitama tells King that he could show him another game then. First King agrees to this request, but suddenly begins to wonder what is up with this B-Class hero, since he has shown him no respect, even though King is clearly older than him, and what he is even doing there.

Moments later, while Genos is fighting G4, King is playing an action game that Saitama was interested in seeing. Saitama watches him play and comments on how good King is at video games. The man in question answers how he has topped a few video game tournaments when he was younger, though then King wonders how long Saitama is going to hang around, wanting him to leave already. Saitama then points out that it seems that King is not only strong in real life, but in video games as well, though he turns serious when he asks why King ran away earlier and doesn't fight the monster that Genos is currently dealing with instead. King spits out the juice he drank and begins to sweat. Saitama continues trying to get an answer from him. He points out that King is strong and an S-Class, so why did he run away like that. He then asks if King has become too strong, so the monster battle bored him so much that it's not worth it anymore. Saitama asks King to tell him his thoughts.

Suddenly another monster attack alert starts. Above M-City appears to be a giant bird, a disaster level Demon. Saitama wonders aloud how there have been a lot more monster alerts lately. All this time, King still hasn't answered Saitama and he seems to be frozen in panic. Saitama asks him what he's going to do now and tells him that he's going to leave now. He also points out that King should also go because there is a monster attack. As Saitama looks at King, King himself looks in Saitama's direction and behind him is the glass door and windows of the balcony where King sees a massive bird monster coming straight at him. It crashes right into the building. Saitama easily stops the bird from moving forward by placing his hand on the creature's beak. King is scared and leans on the kitchen counter behind Saitama. The B-Class hero says how he was surprised by the monster, but he points out how the disaster came to King and maybe something is attracting the monsters to him. King doesn't try to argue as he panics as he thinks about how it's always been - he's always had really “bad luck”. The monsters seem to keep finding him, and it's gotten worse lately. He then wonders if this is punishment for lying. Saitama tells King that since the monster came into his home, he has no choice but to fight, but King isn't too eager to do so.

Chapter 39[]

The chapter begins with a flashback to King's past to the numerous times monsters attacked and he happened to be there. Each time someone finally came to beat each monster while he ran away. Days passed and the Hero Association paid him and people celebrated him like a true hero, but he has never even fought in his life. People gave him the hero name "King" because he stands on top of all other heroes. King thinks it's ridiculous because he's not what everyone thinks he is.

Right now, Saitama is waiting for King to act, holding the bird still. King decides it's time for him to tell him the truth or he'll die. As he tries to tell, the bird screams and King closes his eyes and starts screaming too. There's a crash and then it's quiet. He thinks the B-Class hero was eaten and wonders why he didn't run before concluding that it must be because King - a S-Class hero - was with him. He apologizes for not being able to protect him and opens his eyes to suddenly see that the bird is gone and Saitama is standing there. He asks King if all the rumors about his strength and fighting history are lies. King is too surprised to see Saitama alive to answer him and Saitama then notices that King is so scared that he wet his pants. When King wonders how Saitama defeated the Demon level monster, Saitama asks if he's okay and King recognizes his voice from his past. Saitama still had his black hair at the time and saved King from a monster that scarred his left eye. As King panicked about the new wound, Saitama assured him that the monster was defeated and the scar didn't look that deep, so he should try to open his eyes. That's when King sees him for the first time. Saitama asks if he can see and says that he is trying to become a hero for a hobby. Although King points out how hurt he is after fighting the monster. Saitama simply tells him that if a hero ever appears, it will be him, and the scratches he got from the monster are nothing to him.

Now King looks at current Saitama, who has lost his hair, but is still somewhat the same, albeit stronger. He begins to cry as he now realizes who this B-Class hero really is – his savior from that time. They end up sitting on the floor of a ruined apartment and King tells Saitama everything. Saitama asks him if he finds it funny to lie about being a real hero and scared, and King denies it, keeping his head down in shame. Anyway, Saitama tells him that he's not there to preach to him and it's none of his business, but King in turn tells him that most likely all of his accomplishments are Saitama's. Saitama simply replies that it's not about them because King is the one everyone looks up to and calls the strongest hero no matter what, he should simply get stronger if he's not going to stop being a hero.

Finally Saitama says he's leaving and King is a little surprised. He tells him to wait and asks if he's not mad at him even though Saitama is trying really hard to be a real hero and King has stolen his credit. Saitama ignores this and tells him that he might come visit him and play video games every now and then and jumps out of the hole which the bird creature left in the wall. King stays to watch Saitama leave, though he doesn't object to what Saitama told him about him visiting the S-Class hero.

The Blizzard Group Arc[]

Chapter 45[]

After Fubuki met Saitama, and after Saitama had dealt with Speed-o'-Sound Sonic, Saitama, Genos and Fubuki gather at Saitama's apartment to sit on the floor. Fubuki has been trying to explain her behavior to them. Soon, King comes over and asks if Saitama has taken one of his handheld video game consoles. Fubuki is surprised to see King there and is also a little scared by his mere presence. Saitama admits that he took his game and King tells him that he knew it and he should give it back to him. Saitama apologizes again, but King just tells him that it's cool and he should just give it back. Saitama then silently confesses that he accidentally erased his data, though King didn't hear it. When Saitama finds the console and hands it to King, apologizing again, King doesn't care, though he noticed that one of the buttons is broken, but he isn't mad about it either.

Hero Hunt Arc[]

Chapter 46[]

When Charanko visits Saitama's apartment, he witnesses how Genos, Saitama, King and Fubuki are all there. King suggests to Saitama that they should go back to playing the video game after Charanko has done talking.

Squadron/Rangers[]

In the extra story of volume 11, King introduces Saitama to the ZOO-MEN TV show. He explains that although each member is different, they all contribute to teamwork. How their bond holds firm while they believe in their companions to gain strength. Saitama seems to be listening quite intently as he realizes that watching them work as a team like this is fun and each member has their own special ability and role to fulfill. King tells him more about the show and he recommends that Saitama should watch it. Saitama then wonders if it's worth it, because as soon as you invest in one, it becomes endless. King points out that he's already bored, so he's fine. Saitama then thinks about it, but Genos manages to return from shopping before he has made up his mind.

King asks if Genos is interested in team-based heroes as well, but Genos tells him that's for weaklings. Saitama says that the secret organization called ZOO is kind of like their Hero Association and if they teamed up it could be fun. King explains how there are already professional heroes who operate in groups, forming groups and breaking them up. Genos suddenly gives Saitama a letter that was from the Hero Association. It's revealed to be a secret mission to capture alive the monster HA is interested in, which is why they call in five heroes, including Saitama, to deal with it.

However, as Saitama first thinks he is going to have a nice team-up with the other B-Class heroes, it eventually turns out that it's not like the TV show. In order to save the other heroes from the monster, he finally kills it and returns home disappointed by what he experienced. King asks how working in a team of five heroes was, but Saitama truthfully tells him how different it is when reality and ideals collide, and how he won't team up the second time. King listens and while they play a video game together, Saitama continues to tell King how even the ZOO-MEN wouldn't be able to fight alone when the time comes, as teaming up gave him the impression of fighting his own battles.

King then asks if he disagrees with ZOO-MEN, to which Saitama replies that it may be a well-directed show, but it's still for kids. He then asks King to heal him in the game, but King ignores him and is quietly angry about what he said about the ZOO-MEN TV show. Saitama begins to panic when King leaves him behind in the game and keeps asking for his help, only to be ignored every time. King points out to him that he's the one who said he wouldn't team up the second time and suddenly Saitama's character dies in the game.

Super Fight Arc[]

Chapter 77[]

King is riding a bike when he suddenly stops after seeing Saitama walk alone. He gains his attention and Saitama remembers that King lived nearby. He asks should King right now walk there as there has been monster attacks. King does admit there has been constant alarms, but things seem to have calmed down now. He wanted to buy a certain manga that would release today, but as expected all the stores are closed. The S-Class hero then notices how down Saitama seems to be and asks him what is wrong, but Saitama dismisses it. King then thinks Saitama’s mood is down because of his loss of hair and he tells him he is still young and it might grow back. Saitama then stops him and tells him that he has more of a vague problem and it’s not about the hair. This does surprise King a bit as he never thought that even a super strong hero like him has some issues.

Saitama tells him that he has become too strong and King asks what is so bad about that. The B-Class hero then brings up how he doesn’t feel anything no matter who he fights because he is so strong, and he can’t even learn anything new because of his strength as it doesn’t do anything to him. Saitama doesn’t think he can become any stronger than he is now. King comments how reaching the pinnacle of strength is a huge achievement and as a hero the stronger you are, the better. However, Saitama tells him that if he can’t improve anymore then he can’t feel the joy of reaching new heights again. He then brings up video games as an example for King; once your character reaches the level cap, then it gets boring as there is nothing left to do. There are no opponents you struggle against and you can’t even find one who would be your rival, and that’s how it is for him as he can’t help but feel so bored. King ruins the deep thoughts by telling Saitama that there are still many other things you can do in video games, such as item collection, beating speedrun records and interacting with other players. Saitama points out that he wasn’t really talking about video games as this is real life, but King counters by saying he was the one who brought up video games.

Saitama laughs self-deprecatingly and says how King may not understand, but Saitama sometimes envies him. He tells him how he just can’t remember the feeling of tears running down his face after a loss or the rush of excitement after winning a battle. How all the human emotions are slowly becoming more duller and duller to him, and how nothing makes him angry or happy anymore and how it alienates him from the rest of the population on Earth. He feels a sense of loss. Saitama does acknowledge that he chose this path, but he never imagined that being a hero could be this lonely.

This piques King’s interest and he asks Saitama if he is lonely to which he confirms. King proposes that Saitama could attend a social dance class that is gathering in front of Z-City station, but Saitama is confused why he should do that. King then brings up how Saitama told him he is lonely so he should try making friends outside of his hero life. However, Saitama tells him it’s not what this is about, but King then asks him why it is not. Saitama tells him it’s not something he is interested in and there are so many monster attacks lately that he hardly has any time for anything like that. King then suggests a trip somewhere when things calm down, but Saitama thinks it for a second and tells he really has no interest to go anywhere particularly. King realizes that this is a phase he also went through in the past and tells Saitama that even though he is bored he is not willing to do anything about it, and even though he seeks some kind of stimulus he isn’t actually challenging himself with anything new. Saitama seems a bit annoyed by this.

Suddenly King wants Saitama to listen to him and he tells him that life is a journey with no destination and if he wants to see new things, he should make the path for it by himself. He then asks Saitama if he confuses his “becoming strong” goal to the actual goal he should accomplish as the path of a hero doesn’t end in a simple goal like that. Saitama starts sweating and comments how King really doesn’t have any position to lecture him on what heroism is, however, King continues by telling Saitama that the longing for a feeling of fulfillment through fighting actually goes against the very nature of a hero and isn’t it hero’s very existence to help others and contribute to society. And from that perspective even Saitama could agree with him that even though he is the strongest hero, he isn’t the greatest hero yet. This means Saitama would still have room to grow as a hero if he pursued the right ideal. King also voices how this actually makes Saitama seem shallow and arrogant when he says he has already peaked in growth. He then says that something like that does seem rather embarrassingly immature, which makes Saitama glare at him.

However, King adds that until Saitama finds the answer to “What it means to be the greatest hero?”, he can’t waste his time feeling bored. That is if he plans to keep living as a hero. He finishes his thoughts by telling Saitama that this is what he at least thinks, though unbeknownst to Saitama, King apparently got all that from a manga he read. Either way, Saitama thinks what King said was pretty amazing and he ends up wondering what it means to be the greatest hero and chase the right ideal.

Either way, Saitama suddenly states that it would actually seem to be more boring to do that and King asks if he wants to come visit and play some fighting games with him. Saitama tells he doesn’t feel like playing right now and that everything he does feels hollow. King still tries to entice Saitama to play games with him as it has been a while since they did, but Saitama declines it again as King wouldn’t go easy on him. King tries to provoke Saitama by saying how he wanted to taste defeat so he can show it, but Saitama says there is no point trying to provoke him. Saitama continues by saying that because his emotions are already becoming numb, he wouldn’t feel anger or frustration if he lost at a game. King is quiet for a second and suggests to Saitama that he will give him a handicap by using only two fingers to play the game and Saitama suddenly takes the bait and agrees to play with him.

While King and Saitama keep walking and talking, an injured Garou notices King and decides to attack him. Before he manages to hit King, suddenly Saitama kicks him through a nearby building wall, rendering him unconscious. Saitama asks King did he knew who that attacking guy was, but King, who only got a glimpse, didn’t really recognize him. Saitama simply states that it already is enough to deal with monsters, now they have to also deal with random thugs. He then realizes to ask King if he has any idea what has happened since there has been multiple monster attacks, but King tells him he does not have any idea. However, he did hear there was a new group of monsters who were attacking the cities and there is also this Hero Hunter who has been targeting heroes and causes trouble. They both agree that there seems to be lot of going on now.

The Hero Hunter has piqued Saitama’s interest as he reminds him of the time when he started as a hero. King seems to be interested about this so Saitama elaborates that there has not been any weird people before who calls themselves a monster and it’s just like the time when he suddenly started calling himself a hero. This is the reason he is interested to meet this “Hero Hunter”, unaware that he already kicked him through a wall to protect King. Saitama hopes the Hero Hunter is strong and King seems to understand and says he hopes Saitama meets him. They continue their walk.

Monster Association Arc[]

Chapter 79[]

King and Saitama are playing a fighting game, Saitama is winning as King’s character has almost lost all his health, however King, with only his two fingers, suddenly does an infinite combo attack and Saitama instantly loses. He gets really mad and blames the game for being bad. Soon King apologizes to Saitama about it as it wasn’t really fair and wasn’t very mature of him to do. Saitama thinks that next time he will beat King with even faster consecutive low kicks.

Chapter 83[]

King and Saitama have continuingly been playing fighting games and Saitama states that King only has a small amount of health left and he will win this time, however, King instantly wins and Saitama is really mad for losing. King reveals he made this fight a little more exciting for Saitama so he could have some fun. King also tells him that his movements are just far too predictable and he can lend his gaming console to Saitama so he can practice since he has won 80 times over Saitama now. All this does is to make Saitama just angrier and he says how this game just stresses him out. King puts his hand on Saitama’s shoulder and tells him that when he manages to win, he will feel great about it.

Suddenly a small device in King’s shirt pocket starts making noise and King takes it out. Saitama seems to get interested about it and asks what it is. King tells how the Hero Association has lately given these little devices to heroes which will be helpful in sending an emergency signal just with one button press. Though these are only in a test phase now. Saitama suddenly jumps up and asks if it’s a monster then he will go kill it, but King tells him that another S-Class is already on the way to deal with the situation. Most likely it will be done with when Saitama gets there, though it seems it wasn’t about a monster.

This leads to King bringing up all the monsters Saitama keeps killing around his apartment building, as it’s rather unsanitary to leave the corpses like that. Saitama agrees and tells him he will tell Genos to burn them later. He then wonders why there is so many monsters lately showing up. King thinks that’s probably the reason why Saitama is the only one living in Z-City Ghost Town. He then is inquiring about Genos’ whereabouts to which Saitama tells he hasn’t seen him since yesterday. King gets worried and wonders if something bad has happened to him and first Saitama thinks Genos will be fine because he is Genos, but then he remembers his situation back in the fight against Deep Sea King. He decides to go find him and demands that King tells him the location that the call on King’s device told about.

Chapter 85[]

To save the city, Bang, Bomb, Genos and the unconscious heroes from Elder Centipede, King has appeared with a megaphone to lure him towards him. He uses it to lie to the massive centipede that he brought Blast with him and he should come to him if he wants him since Elder Centipede has a grudge against Blast. Elder Centipede then quickly moves towards King in a rage and tries to attack him. The plan was for King to lure him in, and then Saitama would hit the massive centipede with a punch. King also tells Saitama to limit the blast radius of his attack and not to use attacks that blow the centipede's body back into the city.

At first though, it looks like Saitama is taking his time and King is really scared as Elder Centipede approaches him quickly, but Saitama appears at the last second with a serious punch and Elder Centipede is instantly destroyed. He also notices a damaged Genos from afar, who also notices him. As they walk towards the other heroes, Saitama tells King that he was right about Genos, that he is here as he said he would be. King says it looks like it was close call and it's good they came. He then notices that Saitama looks refreshed and the guy replies that he suddenly feels relaxed. It looks like he was under a lot of stress when he lost to King in the video games. King says that he just wanted to show how Saitama's fighting style is far too predictable.

Genos comes towards them and asks Saitama what he lacks, to which Saitama confusedly replies that “isn’t it power?”. This answer Genos takes to heart and thanks him. King thinks Genos shouldn't use Saitama as a reference as he watches the young cyborg write this down in his notebook.

Chapter 86[]

King, Saitama, Genos, Bang and Bomb are all resting at Saitama's apartment after the battle. Fubuki comes to visit and at first is confused what they're doing, but then she wants to hold an emergency meeting because of the Monster Association. King and Saitama have been playing video games on their handheld game consoles, but stop when Fubuki wants to know their current availability so she and they can deal with the monster issue. King says he has to do something else first, Genos has to get fixed first, and Bang and Bomb have to heal first to get anywhere. This left only Saitama available. The conversation turns to the hero hunter and Saitama is not happy that the hunter isn't hunting him. He then goes for a short walk outside to see if he can find Garou and buy some cabbage as well.

Chapter 90[]

King notices that it's getting late and the others think how Saitama can't possibly find Garou at this rate. King is worried about Saitama because his personality can get him in trouble like if he has managed to fall into the monsters’ trap, and then Bang, Bomb, King and Genos seem to have a silent moment. Suddenly, Saitama announces his arrival and everyone returns to normal. They first assume that he has run into Garou and the Monster Association, but Saitama denies both. They then wonder what is causing him so much trouble, to which Saitama tells them that he lost his wallet. Soon, an angry Fubuki arrives with the cabbages that Saitama had left behind at the restaurant when he left her to pay his bill.

However, Genos notices something moving near the apartment building, mistaking it for a monster. He notes that everyone but King is incapable of handling the situation and sends a nervous King to handle it. Saitama asks what's wrong and Genos tells him that he sent King to deal with the monster outside. This seems to scare Saitama, but King comes back unharmed with a man in a mechanical suit who reveals himself to be Dr. Kuseno. He brought some quality meat with him as a gift for Saitama, who decides to put the meat with the cabbage in the hotpot.

Chapter 91[]

Everyone is still at Saitama's apartment, even though Saitama wanted them all to leave. Soon the hotpot is ready and everyone has gathered around it. As they begin to attack the pot first to take the first portion of the delicious food, King is knocked unconscious in seconds. After a while of eating, Saitama finds King unconscious on the floor and tries to wake him up.

Chapter 92[]

King has slept on Saitama's floor the whole night until eventually Saitama wakes him up. King is a bit dirty from the food that flew on his face and shirt. He asks what he is doing there and Saitama tells that he thought he died for real as King passed out from the struggle for the meat and didn't wake up. King then asks about the others and Saitama tells he kicked them out the moment they finished his hotpot, and Genos is being repaired at the moment. King apologizes for staying the whole night in his apartment and as he is leaving, Saitama tells he should take the trash with him and throw them to the dumpster near the civilian area. King does just that and gets rid of the garbage.

Chapter 95[]

King was called to an urgent S-Class hero meeting regarding a mission to rescue a child hostage from the Monster Association. After the meeting, King tries to hide in a room, but Bang happens to be there with his brother Bomb, and they spot King. The elderly hero tries to ask what he is doing there and King accidentally reveals that there has been a meeting that should have been kept secret from Bang. It seems that the Monster Association's base is located right under Saitama's apartment building, and King says that Saitama doesn't know anything about it. He then suggests a plan for them (King, Bang, and Bomb) to bring Saitama and Genos with them and sneak into the base via one of the routes assigned to him there. To fulfill his duty to stop Garou, Bang accepts. King then tells them to meet at Saitama's apartment like they did the day before and they leave to get ready.

When King later arrives at Saitama's apartment, he meets Bang, Bomb, Genos, and Fubuki there. Unfortunately, Saitama isn't home and he starts to worry because Saitama is the only one who knows the truth about him. Genos stays in the apartment so if/when Saitama returns, he can join with him in the hero raid. Fubuki leads Bang, Bomb and King towards the Monster Association. King's anxiety flares.

Chapter 109/113 (Online)[]

After arriving at the Monster Association HQ, King, Bang, Bomb and Fubuki split into two groups, leaving King to wander alone, making him wonder why they did that. He is very anxious and tries to calm down, but soon sees one of Gyoro Gyoro's flying spying eyeballs watching him. He gets scared and runs away until he suddenly falls through a crack in the floor. Gyoro Gyoro thought he disappeared, because he didn't see him fall. Saitama appears behind the eyeball and destroys it, causing Gyoro Gyoro to think that King appeared behind him and took him down. Gyoro Gyoro also thought that King defeated Orochi even though it was Saitama.

Chapter 151 (Online)[]

King decides to use himself to distract the monster cadres and buy time for the other heroes. He is very scared and anxious and wishes that Saitama was there, although he is not sure where Saitama is now. Suddenly, a rock is moved behind him and he thinks it is Saitama, but it turns out to be Child Emperor and Puri-Puri Prisoner instead.

Chapter 155 (Online)[]

Saitama finally appears on the surface with Flashy Flash and Manako. He sees a limbless Genos in the distance and runs to him, asking how he is. King soon appears and is incredibly happy to see him, even grabbing his shoulders in relief and telling him that he believed he would show up. King even admits to have been scared, but when he notices Genos watching them closely and the young cyborg has no idea of King's true self, King decides to act tougher than he feels and tells Saitama how admirably Genos protected Tatsumaki from the monsters. Saitama is happy to hear that. King and Saitama then briefly check on Tatsumaki, who is unconscious and injured.

Chapter 156 (Online)[]

Blast appears and checks on Tatsumaki after the "God" entity tried to recruit her for its own personal mission. Blast then gives Tatsumaki to King to keep her safe and leaves. Saitama has collected other unconscious heroes, now holding onto Puri-Puri Prisoner. Suddenly, a giant earthquake begins and a giant centipede monster, Sage Centipede, appears. As well as a massive Evil Ocean Water.

Chapter 160 (Online)[]

After Saitama defeated Evil Ocean Water with one punch, its massive ocean water breaks and causes a massive tsunami that is now heading towards all the heroes. They see an aircraft carrier coming towards them and Tanktop Master decides that he could throw them all at once on the deck, but suddenly King spots Saitama on it and yells at everyone to wait there and do nothing. Saitama easily stops the carrier in front of the heroes and jumps off somewhere. The other half of the Sage Centipede's carcass also falls on the carrier and together these protected King and the other heroes from the powerful blow of the sea water. Although Pig God ends up saving them all from drowning.

Chapter 169 (Online)[]

When Saitama traveled back in time from the "ominous future" and defeated Garou, King, who remembers when Tareo asked him that the heroes won’t bully the “Uncle” (a.k.a. Garou), stops the heroes from hurting the hero hunter any further. Saitama also ends up thanking Garou for saving Genos and King from the Evil Ocean Water and Platinum Sperm monsters. King remembers that he and Saitama talked earlier about Garou rescuing him and Genos. Garou ends up running away from the heroes and disappears.

Psychic Sisters Arc[]

Chapter 172 (Online)[]

Saitama was on his way to the Hero Association headquarters to return to his new apartment, accompanied by a shrunken Overgrown Rover and the last surviving Black Sperm cell. When they arrive at the entrance door, the security system detects two monsters and sends security robots to deal with them. Confused, Saitama ends up destroying them easily when the robots try to attack the monsters. After destroying all the robots, the hero is a little worried about how such human-attacking robots managed to sneak into the headquarters, though soon security personnel and some of the heroes come to check on the situation.

One of them demands to know what happened, and before Saitama can tell, he hears one of them shouting how each defense robot cost about 9 billion to develop. This causes Saitama to sweat nervously and they demand to know again what happened, to which he replies that the robots suddenly attacked. King appears and supports Saitama, telling the Hero Association staff that what Saitama said is true and that the robots suddenly exploded.

Saitama then wants King's attention for a moment as he returns one of the handheld game consoles that King borrowed to him. Saitama found it in the ruins of his old apartment, now lost with Z-City. The console appears to be broken. King doesn't seem to care and tells Saitama that he came to ask if he wants to play this new fighting game as a housewarming celebration, but Saitama refuses because King shows no mercy to newbies. King then returns home to feed his goldfish.

Chapter 181 (Online)[]

Saitama and Tatsumaki have caused trouble in several cities they have flown to, as Tatsumaki wants to show Saitama her power and Saitama just wants to stop Tatsumaki from causing more damage. At one point, after returning to the A-City wasteland area, Tatsumaki seems to have thrown Saitama towards the Hero Association’s apartment buildings. Meanwhile, King visited Saitama because he wanted to see if he wanted to play video games, but no one answered the door, and because of Tatsumaki, there were earthquakes that caused the elevators to shut down, causing King to worry and wonder where Saitama has gone.

However, Saitama suddenly appears by hitting a wall near King, and King is surprised to see him. He asks what he's doing and Saitama mentions Tatsumaki, who then appears angrily and slams herself into the wall as well before going after Saitama, who jumped out of the apartment buildings.

Chapter 192 (Online)[]

King has had a hard time finding a dojo to help him get stronger because everyone thinks his accomplishments are real and don't think they can teach him anything else. After many failed attempts to find himself a place to train, he ends up visiting Saitama again and opening up about his troubles to find someone who can take his situation seriously and realize that he's actually not what everyone thinks he is. Saitama and King play another fighting game with King being miserable and telling Saitama about his problem. Saitama only partially listens to him, annoyed that King can still easily beat him in a video game even though his mind isn't focused on the game. When King has some suicidal thoughts because he is so weak and starts to cry, Saitama tells him to start training.

King's sad mood is interrupted when someone rings the doorbell. Saitama is already wondering if it's Genos and King asks him if Genos still lives near Saitama. He tells King that Genos lives right next door after kicking out the previous hero who lived there. Saitama opens the door and it turns out to be Fubuki and her Blizzard Group, trying to bribe Saitama to join them again with a box of premium beef. However, Saitama is not interested and his monster dog Rover decides to steal and eat the beef. The Blizzard Group eventually leaves Saitama's apartment, frustrated with Rover's actions.

Chapter 193 (Online)[]

Saitama learns about the existence of seal stones and cults, and eliminated a massive, feared ancient dragon called "Cruel Dragon" in order to end the conflict between two cults. Afterwards, he has returned home to play video games with King. Saitama tells King about his short adventure and brings up how he thought those things only exist in video games and mangas. And then he admits that there are worlds out there he has no idea exist at all. King comments that it must have been tough.

Suddenly, someone is at the door ringing the doorbell and Saitama goes to answer it. It's revealed to be Flashy Flash who has been looking for Manako and wants Saitama to join him, and tells him that if he proves to be useful he can become his disciple. Saitama closes the door in his face. King asks who it was and why Saitama shut the door. Saitama simply answers that he (Flash) seemed annoying. They suddenly hear how Flashy Flash threatens to kick the door down if Saitama doesn't open it, but then Genos appears to intervene and talks with Flash. King and Saitama listens their conversation through the door, and since it seems Flash isn't going to back down, suddenly Genos and Flashy Flash start to fight. It surprises King and Saitama asks if he should stop them. King replies that he definitely should do that. Saitama manages to stop the fight and Flashy Flash is disappointed in Saitama's rudeness.

Saitama doesn't seem to remember Flash's name, and King tries to help, but Flashy Flash tells him to not say anything since he wants Saitama to try to remember it by himself. Saitama tries and fails which results in Flashy Flash kicking him inside his apartment and tells King that he will need to leave since he has some confidential matter to discuss with the A-Class hero. He also tells Genos to go "sit over there" and shuts the door, leaving King and Genos outside.

Chapter 194 (Online)[]

Much later, after Speed-o'-Sound Sonic, Flashy Flash and Genos fail to understand that Saitama isn't really interested in teaching, learning or competing with anyone or anything, Saitama suddenly takes out his phone to contact King so he can play some video games again with him since he can't deal with the situation at the moment. When Saitama shows King Flashy Flash's drawing of Manako, King recognizes her and remembers seeing her somewhere before. He then shows where he saw her and together he and Saitama trap Manako by luring her with food. They take her to Saitama's apartment and at one point Genos had made curry so she can eat more. Flashy Flash is surprised that King and Saitama found her, although Saitama, Flash and Manako will soon leave to meet up with Sitch.
