Kishinto is the het ship between Kish and Mint Aizawa in the Tokyo Mew Mew fandom.
Canon[]
Tokyo Mew Mew (2002)[]
Kish and Mint were natural enemies. Kish was a member of an alien race that wished to reclaim the earth for themselves and exact revenge on humanity for polluting the planet. Mint became a mew mew after being infused with the DNA of the blue lorikeet which gave her the ability to transform into a magical girl so that she could protect humanity from the aliens' attacks. Kish secretly watched her and Ichigo from afar until the day that he finally revealed himself to Ichigo. From then on Kish frequently attacked the mew mews with chimera animals and fought Mint on the battlefield.
Kish later tried to have Zakuro betray the mew mews and taunted Mint when Zakuro pretended to do so. The aliens' leader Deep Blue was later awakened and the final battle for the safety of the earth began. Kish later turned on Deep Blue to protect Ichigo, which put him on the same side of the battle as Mint and the other mew mews, but he was soon killed while Mint was knocked unconscious. However, everybody was revived when Ichigo used the Mew Aqua to undo the damage caused by Deep Blue. Kish then returned to his home world while Mint remained on the earth.
In the manga Tokyo Mew Mew 2020 Re-Turn, Kish and the other aliens returned to the earth a few years later and started to work at Cafe Mew Mew where Mint also worked.
Tokyo Mew Mew New[]
Mint and Kish started as natural enemies. Kish was the member of an alien race who sought to reclaim the earth, as their current planet had an uninhabitable surface, and wished to exact revenge on humanity for polluting the planet. In this adaptation, Mint was the first of the mew mews to be infused with the DNA of her endangered animal, the blue lorikeet in her case. Kish frequently attacked the mew mews with chimera animals which required them to defend themselves and humanity from their attacks. Kish and Mint frequently faced each other on the battlefield.
Deep Blue, the leader of the aliens, later awakened and the final battle for the fate of the earth began. Mint fought the Dust Wyvern Mk II along with Zakuro, and while they were successful, they soon collapsed due to fatigue. Kish was killed by Deep Blue after turning on him to protect Ichigo. However, he was revived when Ichigo and Masaya used the Mew Aqua to undo all of Deep Blue's damage. The surface of the aliens' world was also stabilized and made inhabitable, so it was no longer necessary for them to steal the earth from humanity. Kish and the aliens subsequently returned to their world after saying goodbye to Mint and the other mew mews.
Fanon[]
Kishinto has a small amount of popularity and is considered to be a rare-pair. It is commonly a case of Pair the Spares to give Mint and Kish love interests and is shipped along with ZakuPai, RetaRyo, and IchiSaya. Kishinto is often considered to be a crack pairing due to the two having never been seen directly speaking, even though they have fought on the battlefield before. There is only one work for Kishinto on AO3 but there are 11 works for it on FanFiction.net. Kishinto most commonly rivals the Kishigo and ZakuMint pairings.
