“After all what is eternity without my beloved Agnes by my side?”
—Holden during his final moments in the Framework

Kitscliffe is the het ship between Agnes Kitsworth and Holden Radcliffe from the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fandom.

Canon

Both Agnes and Holden dated, but during their relationship, Agnes was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Devastated, Holden spent his time attempting to find a cure, and particularly looked into the area transhumanism to see if it could help. Though Holden was knowledgeable in the area, he was unable to find a cure and so ashamed he left Agnes and fled to work at GT Agrochemical.

The pair lost contact, but though Holden left Agnes, he never forgot about her. He based the design of AIDA, a Life-Model Decoy, after Agnes' appearance. AIDA greatly resembled Agnes, prompting Coulson and Mack to contact her after Holden's descent into more malicious activities. Initially wanting a more peaceful life away from Holden, Agnes agrees to speak with Holden. They speak briefly of their past and how Holden vowed to buy her a real copy of an Edgar Degas print once she was cured. Holden further explains to her that he has a way she can be cured, suggesting the Framework. Saving him from multiple S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, Agnes agrees to go with Holden.

Her consciousness is uploaded to the framework and so she essentially gains immortality within Holden's virtual reality. In the real world, Agnes passes away and is given an emotional burial at sea by Holden. While in the Framework, Agnes lives a peaceful life in the Framework and is soon joined by Holden who is killed by AIDA, Agnes' Life-Model Decoy counterpart. The pair live on an island called Ogygia and live peacefully until Madame Hydra (AIDA) and The Doctor visit their island. After noticing Kitsworth's resemblance to Ophelia, The Doctor kills Agnes, cutting the pair's love short. Holden later dies in the Framework and shortly before his death reminisced about his life with Agnes.

Quotes

“Agnes, I hate myself for disappearing on you, but I never gave up.”
—Holden to Agnes.
“I can give you a full and happy life. That's. That's all I've ever wanted for you.”
—Holden to Agnes.
“After all what is eternity without my beloved Agnes by my side?”
—Holden's final words.

Fanon

In fandom, the ship gained some popularity, though not nearly as much as the more popular ships like FitzSimmons and SkyeWard. It gained popularity after the thirteenth episode of the fourth season, BOOM, where Agnes is introduced and her relationship with Radcliffe is explored. It is the most popular ship with Radcliffe's character, though the Leo Fitz x Holden ship has garnered some attention, though less popular than Kitscliffe. Alternate reality headcanons are popular with this pairing, with particular popularity for Hogwarts AUs and headcanons in the Framework.
