Klonnie is the het ship between Bonnie Bennett and Klaus Mikaelson from the The Vampire Diaries fandom.
Canon[]
Bonnie and Klaus first "met" when Bonnie had planned to kill Klaus using the power of a hundred witches behind her back. Klaus, while posing as Alaric discovers this, and mentions it to his sidekick, Maddox who is a warlock. Maddox informs him that it would kill any witch to use that much power, and all Klaus would need is to provoke her enough for her to die. Klaus realizes he needs to get rid of Bonnie before he can get his hands on Elena, and he poses as Alaric at the Mystic Falls High School dance. Klaus corners Elena and Bonnie, and Bonnie does her best to take him down, using all of her powers. Bonnie falls to the floor dead. It is later revealed that Damon and Bonnie had secretly collaborated and decided to put a protective spell on Bonnie, so that it would appear as if she was dead. This led Klaus to believe that he had taken down Bonnie, unaware that she would later appear as a secret weapon to take him down.
In The Sun Also Rises, Klaus became vulnerable after unlocking the Werewolf part of himself, this gave Bonnie enough time to weaken him so Elijah could finish him off. Klaus stops Elijah and says that he can reunite Elijah with their family, and unfortunately, in order to see them again, Elijah betrays Elena and Bonnie and saves Klaus from death.
In Season 3 Elena is taken hostage by Klaus, this is where him and Bonnie properly meet. Elena yells at Bonnie to run but before she can, she's stopped by Klaus, who says to her, “I was wondering when you'd show up.” Rebekah arrives with Tyler and brings him to Klaus and he explains that every time he tries to turn a werewolf into a hybrid, they die during transition because of Bonnie's interference. He leaves her no choice but to find a way to make his hybrid plan work by feeding Tyler his blood and snapping his neck.
The two have brief interactions and moments in Season 3 and 4. In The Departed, Klaus is secured in a coffin while Bonnie and Damon visit him. She realizes that Klaus may have created the bloodline of her friends and family, and if he dies, they die with them. Because of this she puts Klaus in Tyler's body before Alaric can get to him and kill him. At the end of episode, Klaus tells Bonnie that he's very impressed with her magic and her ability to put him in Tyler's body. He comments that he didn't believe she had it in her to do that. He also adds that the spirits will be angry with her for keeping him alive. She replies by saying that the spirits didn't control her anymore, and neither did anyone else, including him. Most of the scenes with them show their antagonistic relationship, but also Klaus' respect for Bonnie and her power. In one of the scenes the two share a comedic moment where Bonnie says “You bother me” and Klaus puts a hand over his heart, feigning feeling hurt. Klaus eventually leaves Mystic Falls and the two fall on somewhat begrudgingly respectful terms. They lose touch after Klaus moves to New Orleans, but speak at least one last time over the phone about the Other Side's collapse.

Klonnie is one of Bonnie and Klaus' most popular rare-pair ships. Many fans think a relationship between the characters should've been explored in the show, and prefer to ship it over the canon ship Bonenzo because of the chemistry between Joseph Morgan and Kat Graham. The ship is a rival to Klaroline and Bamon. It is often shipped alongside Kalijah or Elejah.
