Knifekel is the slash ship between Knife and Nickel from the Inanimate Insanity fandom.
Canon[]
In "The Crappy Cliff (Remastered)", After Mephone4 announced the challenge of jumping off the cliff into the water, Knife said the challenge should be easy. Nickel replied back, wondering what about that was easy. Later during the challenge, Nickel threw everyone off the cliff. Knife told him that doesn't seem right. Nickel responded by sarcastically asking what he suggests. To that, Knife pushed him off as well.
In "A Lemony Lesson", they both got on Team Epic. When Knife tells Lightbulb that he doesn't have to beat her up because she chose him, Nickel sarcastically commented on how he was terrified. Knife gets mad and kicks him. Later, Knife advices that they should choose Paintbrush and misgenders them for a guy. Nickel, shocked, asks if Paintbrush really is male. After it was revealed Team Epic lost, Knife got mad and asked Nickel how he could've lost to Taco. Nickel leaves a remark that he and Baseball actually competed while he and Paper watched "Desperate Housewives".
In "The Arena of Death", the two, alongside Paintbrush and Baseball, got to compete. During the challenge, the four threw their rocks at Taco.
In "One-Shot Wonder", Nickel ran to Knife and told him how what he experienced was terrifying. Knife gets confused and asks him what happened. Nickel says "LOL", talking about the Locker of Losers from Battle for Dream Island. Knife gets weirded out and asks him what is funny. Nickel explains to him that he was trapped in the LOL but Nonexisty saved him. However, Knife seemed to not care and asked him if he wants s'mores. Nickel gets excited and says he loves them. Suddenly, he asks Knife how someone makes them. In answer, he grabs Marshmallow and burns her. Nickel gets disgusted and tells him that he can sometimes be a real jerk. During the challenge, Knife tries to launch Nickel to the other side using a slingshot but fails.
In "War De Guacamole", Knife asks Nickel and OJ if they want to see the wonders of static electricity. When he zaps Marshmallow, the three start laughing at her.
In "Double Digit Desert", after Knife says that he's going to rejoin, Nickel reminds him that he got the most votes to be eliminated ever and that he's the last person likely to rejoin.
In "The Penultimate Poll", after Knife yells out to MePhone that he's going to kill him, Nickel tells him to calm down.
In "Breaking the Ice", when Nickel says that he found mail, Knife yells at him to give it to him. They both got on the team The Grand Slams. Knife sighs and says that it's sad they don't have Paintbrush and misgender them with female pronouns. Nickel gets shocked and asks Knife if they're really a girl.
In "Marsh on Mars", MePhone tells The Grand Slams that one of their team members has to sit out for the challenge, Nickel asks Knife if he can. Knife gets confused but accepts the offer.
In "Cooking for the Grater Good", when Trophy says that the Knife they all "know and love" isn't what he seems, Nickel cuts him and asks "love?".
In "A Kick in the Right Direction", after Knife gets kicked out for injuring Apple, Nickel gets upset and asks him why he did it. Knife gets frustrated and reminds him that he's a jerk. Nickel tells him that he's mean too but that he converts it into sarcasm. He goes as far as to teach Knife how to be sarcastic. He first tells him to do an exaggerated tone. Knife tries it and admits that he has tried it before. To show him an example of sarcasm, Nickel gets over to Dough and tells him that he's a "great" Bow knockoff. Knife says he understood, but when he told Cheesy that his jokes are terrible (in a non-sarcastic way), it didn't work out. Nickel tries to explain to him that he got it wrong, but he didn't listen. To try to make it more understandable, Nickel targets Balloon and tells him that he's "so trustworthy". When Knife got into the conversation and said that they "do like him", Nickel gets amazed and tells Knife that what he did was sarcasm. Knife realises his accomplishment and thanks him.
In "Rain On Your Charade", Knife tells MePhone that he finds elimination time boring and repetitive. Nickel asks him if he has gone over his sarcasm notes. When Knife used sarcasm incorrectly, Nickel hopelessly says he failed him.
Fanon[]
Knifekel is rare to see in the Inanimate Insanity fandom, but has a handful of fans. Despite the two at first not liking each other such as when Nickel yelled at Knife for burning Marshmallow and when Nickel indirectly stated in "Cooking for the Grater Good" that he doesn't love Knife, the two are generally friends. The ship sparked in "A Kick in the Right Direction" where Nickel taught Knife how to use sarcasm. Knifekel rivals Bickel, Knickle, Knifecase and Nickloon.
