Korojiro is the friend ship between Koromaru and Shinjiro Aragaki from the Persona fandom.
Canon[]
It is unknown how Shinjiro met Koromaru, but he’s been secretly looking after him since Koromaru’s former owner was killed six months ago. He is the only male party member to call Koromaru “Koro-chan” in secret, as he doesn’t want anyone to know his attachment to dogs. Koromaru is one of few characters (like Kotone in her route) Shinjiro shows his kinder’s side.
In the manga adaptation, Shinjiro decides to make a meal for everyone thanks to Koromaru, who unknowingly tells Aigis and Fuuka about his cooking skills even though he is supposed to keep Shinjiro’s secret. Koromaru wasn’t present when Shinjiro sacrificed his life to save Ken on October 4th.

Shinjiro secretly watches a cooking show with Koromaru. When Aigis and Fuuka return to the dorm, Koromaru unintentionally informs them that Shinjiro is not asleep, thanks to Aigis translating his language. After they left, Koromaru looks guilty for ratting out Shinjiro. Thankfully, he wasn’t mad at him; Shinjiro promised to give him a meal, which made Koromaru happy.
Koromaru is only present in Shinjiro’s Social Link rank 6, where Shinjiro decides to make a meal for everyone thanks to Kotone’s suggestion. Like everyone, Koromaru looks happy and looks forward to eating Shinjiro’s meals.

In the second remake, there is an extended scene in which saddened Koromaru goes to Shinjiro’s side in his final moments. Shinjiro weakly pets him one last time when Koromaru places his head on Shinjiro’s left hand. After Shinjiro dies, Koromaru howls in anguish.
Film[]
In September, Shinjiro secretly made Koromaru a meal when no one was around. Shinjiro helped Koromaru by massaging his cheeks after he ate his food hot. He kindly smiled at Koromaru as he continued to eat his meal. After Koromaru finished his meal, he told Aigis, Ken, and Makoto about Shinjiro’s cooking, thanks to Aigis’ translating his language.
On Oct 4th, like everyone else, he was greatly saddened by Shinjiro’s death.
Weird Masquerade[]
Koromaru does not become a SEES member due to not physically appearing since production doesn’t allow dogs. He wasn’t present when Shinjiro’s death/comatose on October 4th.

- In the second dungeon, Shinjiro secretly pets Koromaru, unknowingly being watched by Makoto/Yu. When Kanji asks Koromaru if he can pet him, his hostility rejects his offer. Shinjiro sided with Koromaru for not wanting Kanji to touch him.
Fanon[]
Korojiro is one of the few well-known fans of the Persona 3 fanbase. Many fans often draw them together between friends or owners/pets. Some fans fanfiction of Shinjiro becomes Koromaru's new owner/caretaker before Shinjiro's death. Both Koromaru and Shinjiro enjoy each other company.
