Canon[]

Dragon Ball[]

Krillin first met Bulma at the World Martial Arts Tournament. He had been joining with his friend Goku, and Bulma and Yamcha recognized him in the crowd. They quickly became friends through Goku, and Bulma cheered Krillin on in the tournament because he was friends with Goku. When Goku turned into a Great Ape during the finals, she and Yamcha told Krillin about his transformation. After the finals ended, they joined each other for dinner and watch Goku each a large amount of food.

When Goku was hunting for the Dragon Balls to find his grandfather's Dragon Ball, Krillin and Bulma joined him for the search for one of the balls in the Pirate's Cave. At one point, the group nearly fell off a cliff, and Krillin was holding onto to Bulma while her shorts were pulled down. Bulma kept yelling at Krillin for looking and kicking him, to which he begged her to stop because he was going to fall to his death. They found the treasure and were happy but were forced to escape when the cave began to collapse. Krillin lamented that they did not get the treasure, but Bulma pulled out a large diamond that she managed to snag, which Krillin was relieved because he had worried for a split second that he was going to have to call her "Mr. Bulma".

When the group was fighting against Fortune Teller Baba's fighters, Yamcha was figthing an invisible man and struggling. Krillin came up with a plan and went to bring Bulma to just outside of the arena, along with Master Roshi. Krillin then flipped Bulma's shirt up in front of Roshi, causing his nose to bleed onto the invisible man. This allowed Yamcha to quickly defeat him, but Bulma was mad at Krillin for doing this.

Three years later, Bulma attended the next World Martial Arts Tournament while Krillin participated. She cheered him on but was more reluctant when he had to fight Goku. Bulma was sad that the two friends had to fight and was not sure who to cheer for. After the final battle, the group found Krillin dead, having been killed by Tambourine, and Bulma was saddened by his death. She kept his corpse in a coffin that fit inside of a capsule until the Dragon Balls reactivated and they were able to wish their friends back.

Dragon Ball Z[]

Bulma visited Kame House where Krillin had also been living. Krillin asked Bulma about Yamcha, to which she responded with annoyance, revealing that they had broken up. When Goku died in the fight against Raditz and Piccolo kidnapped Gohan to train him, Bulma suggested that Krillin should be the one to inform Chi-Chi because he was Goku's best friend. While Krillin visited Chi-Chi, he was unable to tell them. Chi-Chi then followed Krillin back to Kame House, demanding answers, and Bulma berated Krillin for not telling Chi-Chi before breaking the news to her.

Bulma and Krillin traveled to Namek along with Gohan in order to use their Dragon Balls to wish their friends back to life. She remained in hiding while the two searched for the Dragon Balls, as Frieza's henchmen were there and it was not safe for her to be seen. She set up a house inside of a cave and informed them when Goku was on his way. Krillin later left Bulma to guard a Dragon Ball by herself, and she eventually became mad at him after having multiple close encounters with death. When the Z Fighters thought that Frieza had been defeated, Krillin was terrified at the thought of finding Bulma after leaving her behind. Krillin was later killed by Frieza, and Bulma was present when he was wished back to life.

Krillin managed to steal blueprints on Androids 17 and 18 during the conflict against the androids and gave them to Bulma. Bulma invented a remote that would shut down their bodies and allow them to be killed. She encountered Krillin and gave it to him, telling him to use it to defeat Android 18 before Cell can absorb him. However, Krillin ended up not being able to follow Bulma's instructions and destroyed the remote because he had fallen in love with Android 18.

Dragon Ball Super[]

Krillin attended Bulma's birthday party that was held on a yacht. At some point later, Krillin became a police officer. While Bulma was on her way to the salon, a group of robbers scratched her car. Krillin happened to be chasing after those robbers, and Bulma was upset that they scratched her car, so she chased them as well, which helped Krillin capture them. However, Krillin also wrote Bulma a speeding ticket because she had been speeding, which angered her.

Fanon[]

KrillBul is considered a rare pair in the Dragon Ball series. It is not very popular because Bulma had other canon love interests, Yamcha and then Vegeta, and Krillin would eventually have his own love interests as well which were Maron and Android 18. Most of their interactions in the series happen as a result of their mutual friends bringing them together. However, fans do note that Krillin seemed to be physically attracted to Bulma while they were in the Pirate's Cave, and have also pointed out that Krillin's first girlfriend Maron physicially resembles Bulma. On AO3, there are 8 works for the pairing. KrillBul rivals the YamBul, VegeBul, GoBul, and K18 pairings.
