KrypAce is the slash between Krypto the Superdog and Ace the Bat-Hound from the DC Comics fandom.

Canon[]

Like their owners and the Super Sons, Krypto and Ace are friends. Depending on the universe, like Krypto the Superdog and DC Super-Pets. Krypto being playful and full of energy, as well as him having powers from Earth's yellow sun, references his owner Superman. Just as Ace being an obedient dog that puts work before play and is well trained with the items and gear his owner, Batman uses. Making both dogs the canine counterparts of their owners. As the two do wear clothes and callers that reference the two main DC heroes they belong to. The two dogs are mostly seen together in Super-Pets related stories or kids cartoons on the DC universe, that has the two in their hero costumes.

Before they met for the first time, Krypto had heard about Batman having his own super pet called, Ace the Bat-Hound. Who enlisted Superdog's assistance when trouble from Gotham came to his home city. Ace didn't like the way Superdog called him Batman's "pet" and informs him that he is the Dark Knight's partner, despite what others may say from him being a dog. Their first teamwork had them working together as an affected team and were able to defeat the Joker's pet Hyenas. Superdog didn't mind that Bat-Hound was "grouchy," as he enjoyed working with another super-pet and is impressed with how Ace is able to fight crime without any powers of his own.

DC Super Hero Girls[]

In the 1015 version of the DC Super Hero Girls universe, Krypto and Ace are the pet dogs of Supergirl and Batgirl, the two hero dogs meet in the two-part episode, "Gone to the Dogs." Because pets weren't allowed on school grounds, Supergirl liked the idea of Krypto having a playdate with Batgirl's new pet dog, Ace. Due to how playful Krypto is Ace wasn't sure about him and was beginning to dislike the idea of being left alone with the super dog. Ace even tried to keep Krypto away from him by throwing a ball knowing that he'll go after it. Ace's opinion of Krypto didn't get any better when the Kryptonian dog ended up destroying the toy bear he was train playing with. That is why Ace didn't like the idea of being locked up in the Batgirl's Bat-bunker with Krypto while the girls look into a case. After the two dogs learn that the thief their owners were looking for is a cat, however, Ace decides to work with Krypto in order to catch the feline thief. There were a few bumps Ace wasn't happy with through Krypto's playful personality, but the two dogs were still able to work together and recover the stolen emerald necklace and other stolen pieces of Jewlery. Their actions and proving themselves as capable heroes, the students were allowed to keep their pets at the school. So they too can be trained to be heroes like their owners.

The superhero dogs get to work together again in "Pets Peeved," when their owners get captured and the two help the other super pets to save them. There was a moment when the pets were nearly caught by Killer Croc, luckily both Krypto and Ace removed their caps and callers to make themselves look like a pair of street dogs fight over a bone. The two their hero wear back on after he left. The two dogs and the other super pets working together to save the girls proved that the animal heroes are capable of teamwork as much as human heroes are. In "All Pets are Off," Ace and Krypto were set to compete against each other in the pet show, but Krypto ended by being dognapped by Artemis. This has Ace going alone with their girls' plan to do well in the show in hopes of bringing out the animal-napper, but ends up getting captured with the rest of the Super-Pets. Luckily the animals were able to escape and both Krypto and Ace manged to take Artemis's bow arrows and quiver away from her, before the two dogs charge at her with a net to trap her in.

In the 2019 reboot cartoon of DC Super Hero Girls, the two dogs finds themselves in a "who's the better dog" competition with Kara and Babs. While Ace is a well-trained and obedient who originally worked with Gotham's canine force before retiring as a pet, Krypto was very destructive and causes damage when playing or simply acting as a super powered dog. That leads to Krypto getting Ace soaking wet when he peed acid on a fire hydrant, before sealing it with heat vision. To setting things Ace and Krypto were entered in a dog show to see if supers can outdo skill. Kara and Barbara's fighting has the two dogs disliking each other, until the Joker's pet Hyenas crashed the show and the two put their differences in order to save the little dog they were trying to harm. Showing how well powers and skills can be together.

DC League of Super-Pets[]

When the two first met Krypto was waiting for Clark outside the shelter Ace had been living in since he was a puppy. Krypto had no idea that his owner was getting a second pet, on Lois's subjection to give Krypto a friend, until Ace ran into him when he was trying to escape. Superdog was acting upon instinct when Ace told him that he was breaking out his cage, who then tells the superpowered dog that he isn't normal. Words that affected Krypto more than he was willing to let on and was happy to only have Superman as his friend. While Ace was placed back into the shelter with the evil guinea pig Superdog had saved. Lulu's actions later led to Ace gaining his own powers and separating a powerless Krypto from his owner, forcing Krypto to ask Ace and the rest of the Shelter pack for help. Due to their first encounter Ace didn't want to help the dog that got in the way of his earlier escape attempt, until Krypto learned about the "farm" Ace uses to give his friends hope as blackmail mistrial. If Ace agrees to help him save Superman, Krypto would bring him and the others to a farm.

Because Ace and his friends were still learning how to use their powers, while Krypto has never been one for teamwork that doesn't involve Superman , and has getting along with other animals, had trouble leading his new team. Ace had even tried to teach Krypto the perks of being a dog, but he wasn't too fund of it and was missing his owner too much, Ace noticed this and comments on how Superdog worships Superman. After Krypto learned that his owner was planning to ask Lois to marry him and Lulu got him to think that he was going to be taken out of the picture, Ace helps Krypto understand how love means letting those you care for go; when he told Krypto his story of how he lost his owner family. Krypto felt that Ace shouldn't have been sent away for saving the little girl, but Ace understood why they did so and would happily do it again if it means keeping them safe and for them to be happy. Just as Krypto would do anything to protect Superman, but had forgotten about his happiness. As Ace reminds Krypto that dogs give love to their owners no matter what. With Ace's help from the time he spent with the shelter pets and listening to Lulu, Superdog was able to bond with the rest of the Shelter Gang and help them master their powers; long with uncovering Lulu's plan to free her owner. Krypto even began to embraces one of the real dog lessons Ace taught him, along with seeing how affected it can be while tracking Lulu in the prison. When Lulu threatened to kill Krypto, Ace agreed to go into one of the cages to save his friend. Luckily Krypto got his powers back and frees Ace and the others from their sells. Because of the dangers they encountered Krypto didn't want to throw Ace or the others into anymore danger. Something Ace and the gang didn't agree with and went to help Superdog regardless of what he said.

This allowed Krypto to distract Lulu while Ace and the others save the captured Justice League, who then work with the Super-Pets to take on Lulu as a team. Due to Ace's words about dogs giving love to their owners, Krypto takes it upon himself to use a powerful move that will end up killing him. Luckily Ace uses his invulnerability to shield Superdog from the outcome blast. After words Krypto was about to fill his promise to Ace and the gang, but Ace had already bonded with Batman who became his new owner. Krypto was happy for Ace and the rest of their friends, as they become the new Super-Pets team. With Ace being given the superhero pet title of Bat-Hound. Even though Krypto wasn't too happy that Bat-Hound's new toy is of Superman, despite the fact Superdog had started it with his favorite toy of Batman, the two were still able to work together as an affected team. As none of their enemies or appoints have what they got.

With Superman and Batman friends, fans found it fitting that their dogs would be friends as well, similar thoughts have also been said about their Super Son. That is why they tend to be people's favourite dog characters in the DC fandom. The two dogs being friends in canon is probably why fans tend to keep them that why, but there have those who have shipped them romantically. Since AO3 does have 4+ slash fanfics than gen fics on the two. Along with both Tumblr and Deviantart having a small number of fan art on Superdog and Bat-Hound that are of a slash ship-like nature.

Before the DC League of Super-Pets film came out, fans focused on their Krypto the Superdog (cartoon) counterparts the most. From how it has the two mimic a similar energy to their owners, whenever Ace appears in the series to ask Krypto for his aid. The energy their 2022 counterparts displayed and the friendship they formed in the Super-Pets film is what drew more supporters towards the two DC dogs. As the energy that their voice actors delivered and their friendship in the 2022 film is one of the many reasons why people love the DC film.
