KudoIchi is the slash ship between Yoichi Shigaraki and Kudo from the My Hero Academia fandom.
Canon[]
Yoichi is the younger twin brother of All For One and also the first One For All User, while Kudo was the leader of a resistance against All For One, and subsequently the second One For All User. The first interaction seen between Yoichi and Kudo occurred after Nana Shimura had tested Izuku Midoriya's resolve on saving Tomura Shigaraki. Yoichi had called out to him and Bruce, saying they should start thinking of cooperating with Izuku's plan.

The conversation continued on, where Yoichi attempts to persuade Kudo (whom he had referred to as "My Hero"), a man who had to live through the harshest era where's All For One's control had spread all over the globe. He had defied All For One's tyranny and became the leader of a resistance group that aimed to take him down, and in order to fight back against him, he had took many lives in the process; Something Yoichi have witnessed before. Which is why he was doubtful of Izuku's plan on saving Tomura, thinking it was a ridiculous delusion to believe in. Yoichi had a solemn look on his face at Kudo's words, as he reminisced the first time they had met.
Yoichi and Kudo formally met when the latter had invaded All For One's base and found the Vault Yoichi was kept in. Despite knowing that Yoichi was the brother of All For One, Kudo still reached a helping hand out to him. The battle between One For All and All For One never could've begun if Kudo hadn't took Yoichi that day. Yoichi says what choice is there now, as Kudo knew himself this was the only way. Kudo questioned him again, if Izuku would really be the one to put an end to all of this. Yoichi affirms this; in his words One For All emerged due from the will to resist his brother, but to him, One For All was born the moment Kudo reached his hand out to him. This had ultimately convinced Kudo to extend his assistance to Izuku.

More of their backstory was revealed in the manga, after Kudo had rescued Yoichi, they had spent 2 months together in his base or were on the run. When All For One eventually caught them, its been shown that both Yoichi and Kudo were holding hands running away from him (reminiscent of their first meeting), which sends All For One into a rage, in his mind Yoichi 'chose' to belong to another person so he does not deserve to live anymore; This ended with All For One killing his brother, Kudo loses the grip he had on Yoichi's hand and falls to the ground. Kudo and All For One stared wordlessly as what remains of Yoichi falls down between them. All For One's narration accuses Kudo as the young man who stole Yoichi/His Possession from him. Realizing what had happened, tears welled up in Kudo's eyes.
A short time skip occurs after Yoichi's death. Kudo and Bruce were having a lab test, as Kudo felt strange after the confrontation with All For One prior. Its been revealed that there was now two quirk factors within Kudo, indicating that Yoichi's quirk had unknowingly passed on to him. A flashback occurs in Kudo's POV of Yoichi talking to him about his brother and his quirk. Kudo's resolve was that Yoichi's will now lives inside him.
Eventually, there was the final stand between All For One and Kudo, in which the latter had lost. All For One held Kudo up by his throat as he attempts to 'steal' Yoichi from him but to no avail. Kudo, realizing what he's doing, says that Yoichi was gone and that All For One killed him. Its implied that this accusation is what led to All For One to start crying. Kudo smirks smugly at this, knowing that Yoichi's will and the fire he started will be the one to lead to All For One's downfall, from the legacy that we now know as One For All.

In the Final War Arc, Hikage Shinomori/Danger Sense was stolen from Izuku. Which made Kudo formulate a plan that in order to reach Tenko, Izuku has let go of One For All and pass its factors (the vestiges) onto Tomura to break the barrier he was hiding himself from, but this would mean they would shatter into pieces. He then volunteers to go first, to check if it works and because Gearshift's recoil can heavily deter Tomura from his attacks. Izuku eventually agrees to this plan. Kudo orders Banjo to stay put to assist Izuku further and turns to Yoichi to make a soft plea to watch over Izuku before he goes. Yoichi was shown to be holding back tears over this, affirming his request and calling him his hero one last time.

Fanon[]
Although the ship is considered a rarepair due to them being recently introduced in the manga, it is a ship parallel to BakuDeku, an already popular ship, from appearances to ideals. Additionally, the pairings are One for All users (although it was only temporary for Katsuki Bakugou), fuelling the Kudoichi ship.
The ship has its appeal due to how tragic the pairing had been, but despite that they were still able to meet eachother even after death. As they both continue to live on within the One For All quirk. Their bond, despite how shortlived it had been, had started one of the most powerful quirks in their universe, which makes the ship compelling in its own, even with how little their appearances had been. There also had been joke speculation back then on how were they able to discover that One For All can be passed on through DNA. Most people think it was due to a kiss, as there's no other explanation on how you can unknowingly exchange DNA in a strong, passionate manner (something One For All had required).
Bruce also tends to be included in the ship with the two, but the triad ship is less popular than the aforementioned pairing.

- In the manga, Kudo was the one who reveals Yoichi's name.
- It was also part of Kudo's first ever line in the manga.
- January 2 is held to be Ichini/Kudoichi day by fans.
- Duo Holders was their first ever ship name from the fans as Yoichi and Kudo did not have any names yet until chapter 310 and chapter 406
- Kudo and Yoichi's vestige colors are both derived from the same base/shade color (blue)
- Yoichi is depicted as an emotionally reserved character and the only time he was shown to be openly emotional (as an adult) was when Kudo was going to sacrifice himself.
- The same can be said with Kudo, the only time he was shown to have been emotional was when Yoichi died.
- Kudo and Yoichi had ranked next to each other in the world wide popularity poll (Kudo being in the 50th place while Yoichi was 49th)
- In volume 42's extra chapter, a parallel was made between Kudoichi and Togachako; With Uraraka contemplating that her blood might've mixed with Toga's after she had saved her life, meaning she might still be living inside her (Uraraka even compares the concept to One For All itself.). Kudo had also said a very similar line, the only difference is that its 'Yoichi's will' rather than just Yoichi himself. To add on this parallel, it is heavily implied that One For All's original transfer was through blood.
