Labbie is a het ship between Lana and Abbie from the Fundamental Paper Education fandom.

Canon

Confirmed by Katie, creator of Fundamental Paper Education, Lana and Abbie were friends, but Abbie had a secret crush on Lana. This was evident from an official art piece where Abbie was holding a love letter for Lana. It's unclear whether or not Lana shared the same feelings for him, and if he managed to explain to her what was in the letter. In the art, she pulls on his cheek while smiling, which can be interpreted as a sign of endearment or her making fun of him, but overall, she looks happy.

In a community post introducing the cast of characters, Katie mentioned that both have struggles with learning, in reference to the events of Basics in Behavior.

Basics in Behavior

Abbie's first appearance in the animation was in Miss Circle's math class, being confronted by her about a failed assignment. Upon realizing that Miss Circle intended to harm him, he ran away, only to be chased by her. Lana, meanwhile, was doing her homework, when she noticed Abbie getting chased by Miss Circle and decided to follow. Abbie tried to hide in a room, but Miss Circle managed to catch him, as he was trapped in a dead end.

Miss Circle stabbed and cleaved Abbie multiple times, killing him, then took a wide bite out of his deceased body. Lana witnessed Abbie's murder and consumption by Miss Circle, leaving her shocked and dismayed. Miss Circle then killed her as well, possibly as a witness. Claire passed both of their bodies while running away from Miss Circle, later in the animation.

Fanon

Labbie is a popular ship in the Fundamental Paper Education fandom. It's the fourth most written ship in the fandom romantically at 25+ works on Ao3, and has 7+ works in the platonic tag. It's the most written pairing for both characters. Oftentimes, Englaire is shipped alongside it. The reason for the ship's popularity, alongside Abbie's canon crush on Lana, is the characters' tragedy, as both of them died in the Basics in Behavior animation, although it's unclear how canon that will be to the main series. They're also enjoyed as an example of the Opposites Attract trope. There isn't much information about either character, but in the official art of their interaction Lana appears much more confident and upbeat than the ever so anxiety prone Abbie. So, fans consider they could balance each other out if they were in a relationship.
