LanaCia is the femslash ship between Lana and Cia from The Legend of Zelda fandom.
Canon[]
Before Lana and Cia were split into two separate people, they were a sorceress who is able to see through time and space, while watching over the balance of the Triforce in the woods. When the sorceress was distracted by an image of the legendary hero while seeing past moments through time, Ganon's dark essence takes control of her body in order to free the rest of his soul fragments. The light pushed from the sorceress's heart becomes Lana, while her dark drenched serves as Cia. While Cia opens the Gates of Souls from different timelines to build her army, Lana rises up against Cia through the army she built to protect Faron Woods, with herself as its leader. Before she teams up with Link and his allies, who are made to think that Lana and Cia were members of the same magic clan, to hide the truth about them. Like Cia and the whole person, they once were, Lana has feelings for Link but unlike Cia, she accepts the fact that he is bonded to another. Cia is deeply jealous of Link being in a relationship with Princess Zelda and she is also aware of Lana and that she was born from her light, making Lana "Cia's Better half."
Later, when Cia is confronted by Link and Sheik, she successfully steals the Triforce of Courage and the Triforce of Wisdom from them to gain the full force and uses the Gate of Souls to summon entire worlds from various eras and merges them into present day Hyrule, with Lana using a protective barrier to protect them as they witness the fusion take place. As three fragments of Ganondorf are freed and returned to Cia, with only one still imprisoned in the Master Sword, Lana heads into the Era of Twilight portal. Lana forces are mistaken by Midna to be enemies, which results in a battle before Midna realizes her mistake and joins Lana to fight the Dark Forces. Cia provokes Midna enough for her to attack her and break her mask to reveal her true face which looks similar to Lana's before she leaves. As a result, Lana was left without a choice but to tell Midna about her origins.
After three of the Gates were closed, Lana finally reveals that she and Cia are actually the same person, and the Triforce pieces that were taken from Link and Princess Zelda, unaware that Cia did so to prevent Ganondorf from getting them. With Cia's power having now shrunk, Lana helps Link retrieve the Master Sword and to fight Cia at the Temple of Souls. Cia continues to exert herself in summoning large hordes of monsters. Fearing for Cia's life, Lana begs her to stop using magic that her soul cannot contain, only for Cia to rebuff her before fleeing to the Valley of Seers. Upon reaching the valley, Lana was in pain to watch Cia use her life energy to summon monsters and she pleads for her to stop again, only for her words to fall on deaf ears and Cia was defeated by Link. With Cia weakened and exhausted, she asks Lana how she managed to contain her feelings despite knowing the fact that she can never be with Link, as Lana explains that she accepted the fact that Link and Princess Zelda are destined to always save Hyrule. Cia commends her strength and fades away, with Lana being left the Triforce of Power. Lana sends the new allies back to their respective eras and uses the full Triforce with Link and Zelda to restore Hyrule to normal Upon being asked by Zelda if they will see her again, she can only say good-bye to them and closes off the Valley of Seer's Gate of Souls.
According to The Wind Waker epiloge, a mysterious shadow has stolen the Triforce of Power from Lana, and she works with Link, King Daphnes, and Tetra to find the culprit and she senses Cia's presence, but she finds a dark version of Cia trying to take the real Cia's power from her and after defeating the evil entity, the thief turns out to be Phantom Ganon and after they defeat the phantom and the sorceresses fully let go of their feelings for Link as they send him back to Hyrule as they continue their guardianship over the Triforce for all time.
Fanon[]
Because the two were originally the same person, before they were split into two separate people, some like to view Lana and Cia as sisters. There are theories that "Lanacia" might had been the name of the sorceress that the two were split from, since one of Lana and Cia's skins are of the whole person they once were, and that "Lanacia's" light and dark halves took on new names that were drawn from her whole name. Even when Cia wasn't being rational and blinded by jealousy and rage, Lana still cares for Cia's safety and well-being and is very quick to forgive and comfort her while encouraging her to accept the fact that Link may never reciprocate her feelings or her own and Link and Zelda were destined to protect Hyrule from evil forces.
