Laydace is the femslash ship between Candace and Layla from the Genshin Impact fandom.

Voicelines[]
Both Candace and Layla mention each other in their voicelines. Candace calls Layla an "eccentric girl" and states that she met her before near the Wall of Samiel.
- “An eccentric girl who always seems to be in a trance...? Yes, I believe I've seen her before — near the Wall of Samiel. I couldn't make sense of what she was saying, nor the calculations she wrote down, but she seemed to be in a much better mood after she'd finished. Perhaps this is her way of relieving stress.”

Layla feels touched because of the help Candace provided to her. She also seems to believe Candace is the one who helped her with her essays.
- “...Huh, I saw someone who matches that description when I woke up after sleepwalking for the first time. "Candace," huh? Now I know. I still remember the moment I woke up... All of my reports and essays were done. At the time, it felt like... like after pleading to the stars for days and days, now they'd finally heard me, and sent a messenger to help me... Dehya also mentions Candace in her voiceline about Layla. She reacts to the fact Layla thinks Candace is her "emissary from the stars."

She was out with some group from the Akademiya doing astronomical observations, or something. I wasn't really paying attention. ...Huh? Candace... what now? Emissary from the stars? Parade of Providence[]
In the 3.6 version main event, Layla meets Candace and Dehya during the first task of the championship. Candace helps her to catch the swiftly that was in Dehya's hair. Dehya acts suspicious of Layla at first, but soon recognises her as Candace's friend.

- Dehya – “A friend of yours? Oh, so she must be the one you were telling me about...”

Candace and Layla also explain how they met, when Candace took care of Layla after sleepwalking.
- Layla – “Oh, yeah... it has been some time. The first time I ever woke up after sleepwalking, I somehow found myself in Aaru Village. Candace was the one who took care of me then.”
- Candace – “That's right. She didn't look well, so I gave her something to eat. She said a lot of complicated things about astrology, the night sky, the stars... Not sure I understood it all, but it sounded pretty enchanting.”

Fanon[]
Laydace is considered a rarepair within the Genshin Impact fandom. Many fans of the ship like their resemblance to the moon and stars, with Candace being the moon and Layla representing the stars. Most fanarts of the two feature the stars and the moon because of that being apart of the ship's aesthetic.
Candace and Layla's personalities would work well together. Layla is a tired and hard-working girl trying to keep up with her schoolwork. On Candace's part, she is a confident and caring person who works hard as well. Aaru Village could become a comfort place for Layla, as Candace supports and takes care of her.
Laydace rivals Candehya and Cynodace for Candace, and Farulay and Kaveyla for Layla.
