Leafpen is the het ship between Leafy and Pen from the Battle for Dream Island fandom.
Canon[]
Battle for Dream Island[]
During the cake making challenge, Pen and Eraser are interested in getting cakes from Leafy. When she informs the two that they will have to pay, Pen pulls out an eight dollar bill. Already irritated by the two trying to get her to make them for free earlier, Leafy informs them that they'll only get one cake out of eight dollars. Pen finds a $1.99 bill and figures that he and Eraser can just use Coiny as the last cent they need. Later when Leafy offers to make a cake for Woody for free, Pen and Eraser yell out of rage.
After the Announcer explains the rules for crossing the islands for a challenge, Pen and Leafy glare at each other. Later after both of their respective groups of three win and are flung upwards, Pen is surprised that they're still flying through the air and Leafy wonders if they started going down yet.
Pen shows off him spinning a basketball on his finger to Eraser and Leafy.
In the balloon challenge, Leafy pops the balloons of Match and Pen.
Between the barf bag and the taco challenges, Pen and Leafy both choose the taco contest. At the start, Pen asks Leafy why she's making a huge taco, which she responds with wanting to give some to those who need help making one. Pen figures that Leafy can make the taco for him and angers her when he feels proud for finding this out. When asked how much he needs to pay, Leafy throws in the price of two hundred vigintillion dollars. Pen slyly pulls up a piece of paper with that number and pays for his taco with it. Annoyed, Leafy slices the taco in half and gives one side to Pen as the two turn their tacoes in to the Announcer. Pen ends up getting a low score because the Announcer and the reviewing conestants could tell he cheated.
Pencil and Leafy decide to watch clouds with Pen. After finding him, Pen shows off a pen he found that looks like him, inspiring Pencil and Leafy to get a pencil and a leaf respectively.
When each eliminated contestant gets to say who they think should win Dream Island, Pen votes for Leafy.
Battle for Dream Island Again[]
Pen is part of the crowd chasing Leafy for stealing Dream Island.
Fanon[]
Leafpen is fairly rare in the Battle for Dream Island fandom. The pairing is often portrayed as Pen being one of the many characters Leafy is shipped with on fandom wikis and ship discussions. However, the ship has had its roots as far back as 2014 because of their fairly common interactions at the time. Despite having no further canon interactions since, the ship still has a small following on certain platforms where ship art of the two continues to be made. The ship is often rivaled by Leafpin (partially because of the similar name) as well as the two's other more popular ships such as Fireafy and Penraser.
