Luz Noceda never fit in from preferring fantasy to reality and instead of going to a summer camp that would have her more normal, she ends up in a demon realm when she followed a small owl through a magical door and meets Eda Clawthorne. Who is a criminal and rebel outcast on the Boiling Isles, beside her roommate and friend, King. Warden Wrath steals King's "crown of power" in order to make Eda come to him and seals the crown in a barrier that only a human can get through, knowing that the Owl Lady has a gateway to the human world and will do what she can to help King get his crown back. When Luz walked into her stole and helped her gain a few coins, she knew that Luz the human can help her and King in their task with the promise of sending her home after words. Knowing that she doesn't have much of a choice Luz agrees to Eda's deal, after he meets King and fell in love with his cute form. When Luz got the crown she was surprized that it is a paper crown that kids get from restaurants in her world, until Eda explains that she and King only have each other and the crown being important to him has it being important to her too. Shortly after the Warden appeared and begins to attack the three, Eda tells Luz to return home in order to escape the danger they are in, but Luz refused to leave Eda and King behind and decides to help them fight off the Warden. As they help her to understand that weirdoes like them need to stick together. This gets her to make the decision to not attend summer camp and to stay with the two at the Owl House in hopes of becoming a witch. King and Eda have grown fund of the young human and allow her to stay.
Eda has a lot of enemies and just has the Warden stole from King in order to get his hands on the Owl Lady, a Puppeteer demon targets Luz when he learns that she is Eda's student. The first part of events in "Witches Before Wizards" had Luz believing that the Boiling Isles and Eda's teaching would be like the things in her Azura books, but Eda has Luz work for her and gets King to keep an eye on her. Luz also didn't like the way the two laugh at the wizard's words of her being a chosen one. By the time Eda and King under the trap that the Puppeteer is setting for the Owl House, Luz gets wrapped up in the sweet fantasy the demon created until he reveals himself and his reason for tricking Luz. Despite knowing the trap that awaits her, Eda and King chose to save Luz and the three defeat the Puppeteer together. The two then cheer Luz up by showing her the view of their home demon realm, that appears to be beauty in the setting sun.
King could see that Eda's way of teaching has Luz questioning her the advice and lessons the Owl Lady gives her, while Eda combines one of her lesson with garbage collecting and gives Luz a slim ball. After Luz leaves the two to collect the items the large slug, King talks to Eda about Luz and the witch's idea of teaching will lead to her losing Luz as her apprentice, as King gets the idea to teach Luz about demons like him and the two make a wager of which one of them would make the better teacher. When Eda found Luz in Hexside School of Magic and Demonics and sees King succeeding in training the Trash Slug, she becomes the loser of the deal until King's Trash Slug turns on him and asks Eda for help while admitting defeat. Luz then comes running back to the Owl House and tells the two that Eda was right about the slim ball, while Eda is happy that Luz gets band from the school and gets her own wanted type of poster. Even though Luz comes to appreciate Eda as her mentor, King decides to still go along with his idea to teach Luz about demons as his apprentice. He sets things for his first lesson before the events of "The Intruder".
In "Once Upon a Swap", the three swap bodies so they can better understand one another's hardships for themselves. That is why Luz gets placed into Eda's body while the witch swaps gets King's body and he get gets placed in Luz's. At first three were enjoying the affection and abilities that their swapped bodies give them, until they begin experience the down sides that they go go through. Due to King's small adorable body it gets people like Roselle and Dottie wanting to keep her so they can have a "dress up doll", bullies like Boscha get the other teens to pick on "Luz" and Eda being a wanted witch has a target on her back. When Eda and King learns lessons through King and Luzs' bodies and get trap in a cat café, Luz manages to save them from Roselle and Dottie, the three switched back to their original bodies before they return home for the day. Before the had swapped bodies they made a bet for the loser to clean up Hooty for when one of them fails to understand the life of the one they swapped bodies with, but none of them lost the bet and Luz suggested the three of them to clean a muddy Hooty together. Eda and King on the other hand passed on the idea and have Luz clean Hooty on her own.

When it was time for young witches to get their own palismans and staffs in "Hunting Palisman", Eda could see that Luz is exited about it but in the end she didn't match up with either of the palismans and begins to wonder if she belongs to the Boiling Isles. Eda saw how upset Luz is about it and after she and King over hear Luz talking to herself about her upset feelings, the two come up with the idea to cheer Luz up by getting her palisman wood so she can make her own palisman, like Eda did with Owlbert. Eda and King were a mess with mug and leaves when they stole the wood for her, the love they have for Luz and wanting to make her happy is worth the trouble they went through off screen. The two also give Luz their support and agree to let the young human take her time before she begin to carve the palisman wood. As for Luz, she is grateful to have Eda and King as the wonderful friends she has made on the Boiling Isles.

This section is in need of major improvement. Please help improve this article by editing it.
Luz, Eda and King are the three main characters of The Owl House fandom. As most canon and fanon artwork of the cartoon commonly features the three together. The friendship can also be seen as a familyship, from them being three of the main members of the Owl House Family, beside Hooty and Owlbert, along with the times that the three have been there for one another. Luz and King being the children of the make shift family has Eda serving as their mother, from how she cares about them in a mother kind of way and there have been times when the two have been referenced as her kids. As there have been fanfics of Eda finding Luz as a baby and raised the human as her own, while King had changed his name to King Clawthorne to thank Eda from raising him. Sometimes for Role Swap AU's, the three are featured as self version of Hunter the Golden Guard, Emperor Belos and Kikimora, for fun and it isn't uncommon for fans to have heroes and villains swap roles with one another for such AUs.
On AO3, the Ledaking has over 350 fanfics.
